Ranking Tarantino Films

Alrighty then, time to break out the brass and to do some taxing ranking today with my list of Tarantino's best films from the worst to the best.
10: DeathProof
Plain and simple I did not like this film....I hated it. I seen it once and I felt like I had wasted my time and I still to this day want my time back for seeing it.

9: Jackie Brown
Only seen it once years ago, felt like a film people before my time would enjoy mostly, It did nothing for me I could not care about it.

8: Once Upon A Time In Hollywood
Slow burner with a good ending, I felt.

7: Reservoir Dogs
Now the first time I seen this film in full, I knew all of the plot and iconic parts with this film so it did not have a impact on me but hey it's not too bad.

6: Pulp Fiction
Quotable and great music once again with great cast just like all of Quentin's films but same thing as Res Dogs, I am not fussed on it but its not bad.

5: The Hateful Eight
Basically a western version of Res Dogs but hey this felt very much a lot like RDR 2 and I only recently seen this film and I enjoyed, it was quite tense.

4: Kill Bill Vol 2
A great film with memorable quotes and moments and music BUT not as good as the first volume.

3: Inglorious Basterds
Absolutely Brilliant film with one of the best villains of all time.

2: Django Unchained
Full of charismatic characters and a great revenge flick, it's a bloody masterpiece!

1: Kill Bill Vol 1
Honestly his best in my opinion, it's so stylish and memorable and it's probably the most influential vengeance flick of all time.

These are just my opinion of course and they are not the law so It's fine if you do not agree, we are all different you see.

Thanks for reading and stopping by on my Blog today.

The Sophie Lancaster Story & The Sophie Lancaster Foundation

Sophie Lancaster was a young woman who was murdered for being different. She and her boyfriend Rob were creative, artistic people who dressed in their own unique way which was more accustomed to the alternative music scene. They were sadly attacked by a gang of five boys in a park in Lancashire on 11 August 2007. The gang attacked Sophie’s boyfriend first and then turned on her, carrying out a brutal and sustained attack. Sophie remained in hospital for 13 days, before her family following medical advice agreed to life support being switched off.
Sophie died on 24 August 2007; she was just 20 years old. There was a heart breaking program made by the BBC titled "Murdered for being different" back in 2017 and it followed Sophie's story and was made to honour Sophie and raise awareness.

I first discovered the Sophie Lancaster Foundation and about Sophie and her story through this BBC program and I was shocked, devastated and filled with anger, because it's a story that hits close to home with myself and I can resonate with, as I'm very much apart of the alternative music scene and have been bullied and beaten up in school for the music tastes I have and for the way I have looked. I felt so angry because these five boys could have just left things be and walked away done nothing and everyone would have walked away just fine but they went too far and no one especially Sophie deserved that attack and it makes my blood boil to this day that this would happen and has happened to Sophie and to others too.

Sophie’s mother, Sylvia had decided during the long hours at hospital when Sophie was better, they would go into schools and talk to young people about difference, and how it is ok to be who you are and express yourself in your own way. Sadly, Sylvia never got a chance to do this with Sophie. Sylvia was determined that she would carry on this work and The Sophie Lancaster Foundation was established as a lasting legacy to a beautiful life cut short by violence.

THE SOPHIE LANCASTER FOUNDATION
STAMP OUT PREJUDICE, HATRED AND INTOLERANCE EVERYWHERE.
The Sophie Lancaster charity works to promote tolerance and acceptance for others however different. The Foundation’s mission is to stamp out prejudice hatred and intolerance everywhere. When news of the attack broke donations was sent to Sophie's home and many events, concerts got set up and raised money for the foundation and to also raise awareness. The foundation also notably worked with Coronation Street for a recent storyline on the tv program.

The Foundation was registered as a charity in 2009, their goals are as follows; To create a lasting legacy to Sophie. To provide educational group-works that will challenge the prejudice and intolerance towards people from alternative subcultures. To campaign to have the UK Hate Crime legislation extended to include people from alternative subcultures.

In 2013, Greater Manchester Police became the first police force in the country to monitor hate crimes and incidents against alternative people. It is a huge achievement for the charity that a total of 18 police forces in England and Wales now do so. The charity regularly participates in conferences, events and schools and even prisons to spread Sophie's word and legacy to teach others the devastating impact of their negative words and violence towards others and to share Sophie's story. In hopes to educate others to do better and to be kind.
R. I. P Sophie Lancaster
R. I. P. Sylvia Lancaster
(Sylvia recently passed away as I was writing this blog post. She will be very much missed. She was a truly remarkable woman. She made a difference in this world. Rest in Peace Sylvia.)
Please share and raise awareness
Please be kind and gentle to everyone out there.
Thanks for reading,

Ghost - Impera (Album review) A Classic Masterpiece

Ghost are a band I have loved for a few years now but with the release of their 5th and newest album Impera, the Swedish rock band have become a massive love of mine. Impera released on 11 March 2022, it was produced by Klas Åhlund who also produced the band's 2015 album, Meliora and I have listened on repeat to it religiously since it came out!

I cannot wait to see them live in Birmingham on April 15th 2022. This review is being written days before that gig and I will also post a gig review of Ghost soon as possible, there may be delays with this or the ghost gig review coming out here on my blog as I am having a tough time at the moment and as such I am having breaks off social media and with life in general.

Thanks for your understanding so without further ado, let's get into the review!

The theme of Impera mainly focuses on "the rise and fall of empires" and of course the 20th century. The album received widespread critical acclaim. The release of Impera was preceded by three singles: the first, Hunter's Moon and it also appeared in Halloween Kills and is featured as part of the film's soundtrack; the second single, Call Me Little Sunshine, was released on 20 January 2022 and the third, Twenties, was released on 2 March 2022.

Tracklist:
Imperium - A killer soft catchy instrumental start that leads perfectly into the massively catchy and killer song of Kaisarion.

Kaisarion - To me this feels like a big stage play song, it's a perfect opening song and it is also so catchy and it's got much like the rest of the album amazing instrumentals, lyrics, riffs and solos.

Spillways - The piano and very 80's feel to to this track makes it feel familiar but new and brilliant all at the same time.

Call me little sunshine - A wonderful infectiously catchy song which showcase Ghost basically and was the second track released prior to the album.

Hunter's Moon - This is GHOST and one of my all time favourite songs!  It’s not your typical metal.  It has elements of prog, hard rock, pop, punk, of so many different things that Forge has up his musical sleeve and that's what makes him and this band shine so many others and make them stand out with their mysterious story and characters too.

Watcher in the sky - A lot of these songs are so infectiously catchy both lyrically and instrumentally and if this one does not make you want to sing along then something must be wrong.

Dominion - A great instrumental prelude to Twenties

Twenties - Possibly the most dark element of Ghost on this album is this song, I felt for a while this was a bit weak but I can't skip it, it's the roaring intro, the sinister feel to Papa here as he tells us the tale of the twenties and feels as if he is giving orders over the radio. I can't help but to sing along to the chorus however.

Darkness at the heart of my love - Slow, loving, lovely and catchy this is Darkness's aim and goal as many of ghost's soft songs in the past have had this same feel, you could take it as a sweet romantic soft gesture or maybe a macabre one too. The snapping of the fingers make this even more special musically for me.

Griftwood - What start's feels like a bit of Def Leppard but rest assured this song is Ghost's and it kicks ass with again I will repeat myself here a few times during the course of this album BUT IT'S SO CATCHY!!!!

Bite of passage - Another slow sweet instrumental that leads perfectly into the last track which is.....

Respite on the spitalfields - Here we have the slow but lovely go home track to this stunning album, again you get hit with rocking instrumentals and catchy chorus's with sweet stunning instrumental riffs and solos which also make this song feel very much like a power ballad. As the song closes it feels like Papa is leaving the twenties with this album as he bids goodbye and walks away so it feels in the lyrics or possibly that he is running away with someone or the memory of someone too since "nothing ever lasts forever". It's a lovely piece.

This album I absolutely love and respect honestly for me this is a Classic Masterpiece. It's hard to find albums where every song hits and this one is a gift that keeps on giving.

I'd have to give this a 10/10
5 STARS easily!

Random Ramblin's 44 - The One With The 400TH Blog Post

What the heck do you mean this is my 400TH BLOG POST!!?!?!?
WOWE!!!!  Don't know how to respond to that news and it cause me hecking concern haha.

So I have been quiet here for a little while just wondering what to post, what to say because this is my 400th post and again It's crazy to see that and how far along this blog has come.
(Some content here in this post may be upsetting and may cause triggers to some.)

Let's get a life update and ramble for a while randomly down the woods of my mysterious mind.

So 6th March as you have read or seen, I had my first covid 19 vaccine. It knocked me off my feet with the side effects of the Zeneca first dose but I recovered fine 4 days after my jab.

A question I get a lot is "Scott why did you dye your hair green?" the answer is simple, it's what I fancied, I wanted to dye my colour and I like green and so there we go. I will have red in my hair next but when that will happen well who knows. Also if you are new to my blog, hey I'm Scott aka 1stmetalgod as it is known on my youtube or twitter or even here on my blog which as you see it is titled 1stmetalBLOG.

My Top 10 list's have made a come back and I look forward to doing more but I am in need of suggestions so please do send them my way via comments, fb, twitter just tag me @1stmetalgod.

Last year I did a charity awareness post and again this year I wish to do another one like it near the end of the year.

I also last year wrote a lot of songs and poems and these are pure raw emotions I have expressed feeling through the power of the written word. These are just captures of emotions stuck in time when I look back at them and last year I went through so many complex emotions and the grief I have been suffering through the past year has been so rough and even now to this day I am still processing them and I am trying to do so in good and healthy ways but you know you can't be prepared for it all the time because it can hit you from nowhere and from everywhere some days.

I lost 3 people last year and that has been some of the hardest shit I have ever had to go through and this pandemic and lack of seeing friends and family and loved ones and so much more has been so detrimental to my mental health so I have said and done stupid thing's and been depressed and quick to anger and sorrow and more and I've gone about things unhealthy and healthily. I've argued and fallen out and gotten back together with some very important people in my life during this crazy pandemic. It's all a learning curve for sure but as long as there's a support system, self care and self support and some sort of freedom within the world and ability to go places and see people it's a whole lotta good to have and to bring you back into balance and finding a balance whilst surviving a pandemic and coping with the changes and grief and the loss of so many things is and has been the hardest thing I have ever had to learn and adapt to and with.

Keep in mind I have had to learn to walk, talk, write and to survive through epileptic seizures, broken bones and a car going into the back of my car during a driving lesson like almost 10 years ago not but I was diagnosed with whiplash from that. So I have overcome a lot and no doubt I will be overcoming more as we gaze into the crystal ball of life looking further into the unknown.

Brings me to another point on my mind. My family will never see me, the spiritual and mental embodiment me now like they see me physically but you know I can't help but to feel they don't get that I like to be busy and doing something always, I'm not always laid back as I show around them and I am always thinking and wanting to be on the move and doing something like. It just urks me to be laughed at and ridiculed by my family and I'm sick of being told what I should do and stuff just leave me be and let me deal and figure things out and if I need advice I will ask for said guidance because I don't want to do shit or listen to what they have to think and want to enforce on me because that kinda thing makes me not want to do shit more. So I wish they would be happy for me when I am happy about something rather than drag me down because they may be in a shitty mood it really feels like the carpet is being pulled from under me. I just want respect and support and to not feel like a child and patience I would also like from others.

I recently completed a few online courses. Child & Adolescent Mental Health, First Aid and Parapsychology Diploma. So I am now entitled to use these next to my name O.A. Dip (Parapsychology) as per instructions on the certificate of the diploma. I will hope to be educating myself more on things I am interested in and there's a career path I do wish to give a try and that's to become a support worker so I will be putting energy into finding out more about that kind of work and how I could become one, down the road here of life but for now I'm just learning new skills and gaining new qualifications for my own personal interest and development.

Since January I have lost 3 and a half stone. I have had an injury in February placing me to rest for a little while and as of writing I feel well in my ankle and leg since pulling a ligament and bruising and having a small fracture in my pinky toe. I have been walking every single day before my injury and after my injury i have done little walks now and again and the last walk I did was a 5 mile walk and I am so easily prone to blisters and god have I suffered some nasty ones. I may have taken a slow detour but I am not going over board in comfort eating and other bad habit's I have had and have carried with me for all these 25 plus years.

I feel like this past year and even the year before that I have been discovering a lot about myself and I am thankful for this and these discoveries even when times have been tough and I have thought about doing the utmost worse things to myself to take myself out of the life equation and this is sad but true. I was at a point in my life where nothing seemed to be going well and everything seemed dark and heated with others and loss of so many people and things all at once and living each day the exact same just was having me so hollow and dark and depressed and alone, it truly was a horrible thing to experience and go through. I was drinking a lot more than I ever have in my darkest clouds and taking more pain killers and in the darkest times I thought and even said out loud to people closest to me about having had enough and that a rope or more pain killers than usual are sounding like the best bet for me but listen to me now, I did not do or attempt any of that I merely imagined dark scenarios and thoughts and my friends here reading this, I urge you now if you ever felt or feel like this to talk to someone you trust about it all and please get the help and help youself out of it aswell, it's not nice and not easy to do but please it's better than taking your own life. These thought's and dark bout I had came from last year and not from the recent injury I must say to be clear.

Point of a lot of this I am making is that, I am just still discovering myself right now and there's a lot of internal and external work I need or would like to do for myself just it will all take time and It won't come overnight and that I am ramblin' now but even through the darkest day's, this guy and the fire inside him will burn, always.

So that will conclude my life update at this moment in time as of writing. Anything could happen at anytime and as ever I hope you are having a nice day and staying well and safe mentally and physically. I hope you enjoyed reading this, it was a lot of personal insight to myself and it's not always easy to blog or talk about openly or so publicly so to speak as my blog is of public nature. Probably the next life update of any kind I will give is when the pandemic is over or something else, who really knows we will just wait and see but I am certain for before then that I will be posting other interesting things here on my blog.

So for now and for always, thanks for reading and supporting me and stay shiny!

Baby Don't Forget My Love (original poem/lyrics)

Baby, hey there, you've been lost for the longest time,
Wondering round aimlessly, clueless in the dark,
Unaware of the beautiful, loving, one standing infront of you,
Oh baby, i'm here now and it's all going to be alright,
Those broken pieces are being glued together with care and ease,
Relax those worries and stress, Throw your anger and caution to the wind,

I'm a good guy and i got you, I really do love you,
My soul cries i need you, a kiss and a cuddle and the world is balanced,
Thank you baby, it's sweet to be loved by you, my heart belongs to you,
Keep good care and remember everything i say and tell you,
It's all true, just remember how much i love you,

I've been up and awaiting a darling as beautiful as you,
To have this now is all i have ever imagined,
I awake everyday just stunned,
Imagine my luck on that day, where i nervously asked a question,
Listen to the bells, hear that ringing,
It's the jackpot and i hit it, It makes me feel like a billionaire,
Being called yours is the happiest thing i could have ever imagined,

The journey we share, the laughs we have,
The wide eyed smiles, our faces have never felt or seen such delight,
I got you goal keeper gloves for our special day,
Honey you're such a keeper, thanks for always saving me, remember how much i love you,

You tell me everyday how gorgeous i am and it makes me blush,
My heart flutters every time i see you, just as it did the first time i laid my eyes upon you,
Baby girl, you are so amazing and wonderful, with your eyes shining like jewels,

I want only ever you, forever and ever, to the ends of time,
No one or nothing could ever come in-between this bond,
Such a strong connection we share that it's always having us become telepathic,
I just told you how much i love you in your mind and i hope you don't forget it,

We've found, what we once lost, in the embrace we share,
Honey in the bumps along our journey, i hope you never forget just how much,
Just don't forget, just how much, just remember, just how much,
I love you!

The Epiphany Of Idiocy (Original poem/song lyrics)

Push when you pull, fall when you rise,
It's the same thing as wearing a disguise,
You can't hide from your folly's of man,
Send in the clown, we are all stuck in a frown,
It's rich, it's pure, to laugh as others expense,
Smile through the pain, it's funny that way,

To be an idiot is to do without thought,
Act with no brain, Forget what you've been taught,
You'll offend and harm without consequence,
You'll pull on push doors, you'll forget your belt,
You'll hang loose with no cares in the world,
An empty scarecrow, a tin man, a cowardly lion,
It's what you share common ground with,
To be an idiot is to act without thinking,

Offence slips out, the people are displeased,
You won't care, lashing has rushed passed your ears,
You wouldn't know what manners are, even if they hit you in your face,
What are you to fear, everything you touch ends in disaster,
You run around thoughtless, unleash your headless chicken,

To be an idiot is to see if you can fit in a tight space,
You'll get stuck and stay there until you're wedged free,
Stop licking your elbow, stop standing in the middle trying to keep your balance,
Don't ask the obvious, don't be so messy, be considerate for others,

Of course how can you be expected to do this,
How could anyone expect any of this business,
Look at me i'm talking to an idiot, I had a realisation once,
What if i'm the idiot, am i the idiot, is the idiot me,
What if i'm not an idiot, what if the idiocy is me?,

More Metal Than Bone (poem/lyrics)

I've got my finger on the trigger and i'm ready to blow,
You've got your mouth pressed up and ready on show,
My skin's so abrasive, You've just got to face it,
I'm more metal than bone,

My bones are falling out, can i find a way to stop it,
Buried alive a machine, Can you falsify the organic,
When its more metal than bone, can you still see me,
Don't you even know who i am anymore?,

I can't see straight, It gives me such a migraine,
I'm more metal than bone, it leaves me so prone,
I've got my finger on the trigger and i'm ready to blow,
You've got your mouth open wide, ready to be filled,
With more metal than bone,

Teeth are corroding away, Let's fill them up,
The docs say, it's going to be okay, that's what they always say,
That's life, you win some and you lose the others,
No fairies, no tales, are gonna save you anymore,
Face facts son, you're more metal than bone,

With my finger on the pulse, i'm ready to go,
Be careful with who you deal with, we could come to blows,
The fact remains the same, i'm a danger to society,
And everybody knows,

I'm more metal than bone.

What's it like to be me, you'd have to crawl up into a ball to see,
How much it feels to be me ever so painfully,
To be injected with more metal than bone, It'll leave you so prone,
It would drive a sane man to lunacy, You'll see.

I'm more metal than bone.

GLASS: A Shattering Review

GLASS
M.Knight Shama-llama-ding-dong is back at it once again with his twisty tricksey way's. With the end of the Unbreakable trilogy with GLASS wrapping up with three twist's which will have you scratching your head and googling for answers after you leave the theatre.

The film boast's a great cast and has been a film I have been excited for since Split's ending and the reveal of GLASS happening as a film with the combination of David, Glass and The Beast aka The Horde, I was excited just like everyone else who has been a fan of the superhero thriller trilogy but the payoff of the film was disappointing with it's third act being a bit of a mess.

Glass was ok at best, it had some interesting things going for it but ah just it could/should have been better. The fight scenes I didn't like, they definitely should have been done a lot better and have some punches being swung and such rather than a grappling match.

James Mcavoy was beast literally and just the best actor in the film he's so diverse and complex it's truly fascinating how he can do all those different personalities vocally and physically with their different accents tones and stances.

Split is the best one of the trilogy in my opinion. Glass should have been much better than how it was but there we go.

Celebrating 25 Years Of Power #NationalPowerRangersDay

August 28, 1993 the day the world was changed.....morphed even.
For 25 years we have had different teens with attitude jump, fight and morph into different coloured spandex with helmets with all sorts of designs on their spandex yes they are the Power Rangers!

As a kid growing up in the 90s Power Rangers was the hype! I was a huge fan, I'm still one even if I'm no longer watching every single episode anymore. Green was always my fave colour after all as you with my fave all time ranger being Tommy of course.

The show connects people worldwide and sends inspirational messages still to this day. What a legacy it has! Here's to 25 years and many more!

Anyway, It's NATIONAL POWER RANGERS DAY!

Yes this now an official holiday to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the long running franchise. To celebrate i will be sharing the love of a bit of the fan-fiction series i have been working on as a side project of my own Power Rangers series. (sad i know)

POWER/RANGERS: Galactic Enforcement
Nightmare: "This is impossible! I killed the power rangers. How?! How is this possible?!"
Rebecca: "We will never die!"
Lewis: "Where there is evil we shall be there to stop it"
Jared: "Through peace and justice we will always win"
Ruth: "Stack them up and we'll knock ya back down"
James: "We are the power rangers!"

My own power rangers show Fan Fiction. I am in no way affiliated or associated with Saban or Hasbro and it's product POWER RANGERS nor am i associated with Lionsgate nor Super Sentai series i am a fan of the series and lore and franchise that is Power Rangers and i merely had/have an idea for a new series. I have taken the opportunity to write some fan fiction based upon the Saban/Hasbro franchise.

Late Night Ramblin's Vol 5: The Problematic Mind

It's 4:35am as of writing on the 23/8/18. I won't bother editing this, i will make mistakes grammatically i know but who care's im sure you will understand me and if you want me to correct it, tell me because right now i am tired and full of worry.

I have problems........

There I said it. I have money, car, long sighted, mathematical, grammatical, social, sleeping, thinking, you name it i have problems. We all do!

At the moment i seem to be bleeding money from my car problems which in turn is making my money go down which causes money problems which causes stress, depression, just overall emotional and personal problems for me.

How do i escape this?

Work more? I work what i am given, occasionally if i have no plans and time i will cover. I have applied for more work elsewhere, part time, full time, temp, apprenticeships you name it. Any one got back to me with anything? Nope just decline after decline after decline. When all i want in life is victory after victory after victory after victory just like EC3.

Why not get paid to write?

If someone can point me in the right direction i am more than happy to do it.

Eat less and exercise more?
Valid points but i dont want to starve myself and exercising is hard my mentality is not set to do it, i need to be on that autodrive and motivated and inspired but my brain most of the time is not but when it is, it's like a feeling an emotion a drive to do it but mainly i need someone with me i dont like going to the gym alone and i know i did it alone for a while a few months back but of course like i explained before i became sick, had more work on and less time to do it so i dropped it and ended up losing my gym card which put me behind so much more so i could not go to the gym with out my card i know so annoying.

Cut out non essentials and sell things you no longer have need for?
Very valid points of course i am making my way onto that.

Is Karma my problem?
The very problem with problems is the fact they never come alone, they come in clusters of them. When you find one there's another and another but oh look over there, yep its another and sometimes dealing with them can sprout more too! Never ending vicious cycle it seems. That's life as Sinatra would say, but why do we have to suffer them? I've heard it all before problems make a man. I need the nonjudgmental, the helpful, the caring, the lovable people in my life to come forward, help me. I'm struggling. My worries are getting too much. I think of only the worse. If this is a way of Karma well what have i done? Sure i have said nasty things in the past and done some as a kid for sure everyone has kids feel no consequences to their actions or words is all and if its because of that why karma chooses to hit at me so hard then come on just go wild karma or better yet stop and restore all karma.

I complain and talk about the negatives of myself and life so much i know and i can only offer my apologies there. What else am i to do?

Happy Brain, Happy Life!
This is what i need to achieve, i need that peace of mind, where i am not a panicky pete or worry hound dog 24/7 im not really living doing this, i need help motivation advice anything i can get to push me into the right direction!

If anyone can help me out with links to motivate me to do things or stories or advice tips etc do let me know!

If you feel the same as me and going through the motions just like me, don't worry you are not alone!

First Music Video Experience! (Acoustic James - Zombie On The Weekend)

Yep that's my name there twice, I filmed and co-directed my mates first ever music video. Acoustic James - Zombie On The Weekend. Check it out!

It's as James say's "A Tribute To The Pro's" he idolises Edgar Wright and his famed Cornetto Trilogy and for good reason because I too share the same mindset, Edgar and the trilogy is some fine amazing piece of film making.

James say's this about it: "The idea is also to tribute with the subtle colour coding in each of the series, along with including a cone of some sorts in all three. These are stand on their own video ideas, along with each post credit clip that will be a clear tribute to per Cornetto movie edition. The next two are already in plan, should get better with the practice too :)"

I have directed before but nothing to this kinda level I mean what have I directed? Nothing serious just skits and jackass type videos involving my mate James Evans for several years but I class that as something else it was just the kid in me, the rebellious teen just acting out i guess experimenting not taking things seriously as I did for this. Same goes for filming of course I have filmed loads of times but this is a different level. I also appear in the video briefly but enough of me tooting my horn because of how proud I am to have had the opportunity to do this.

I'd like to speak on behalf of both me and Acoustic James and say that of course we aint perfect we are noobs to this but we try our best and skills like film making and directing don't come straight away takes years. He has basically revealed we are working on two more obviously since this series is a tribute to the great Cornetto trilogy that the second will be kinda police themed followed by a worlds end in the climatic third.
We have not shot anything yet for music video 2 or 3 BUT can I reveal any info about them? Nope I can not, NDA has been signed and what not ;P

You know,  I know James would hate me saying this but he has been a nervous wreck about sharing this video he's disabled the comments because he expects to get trolled but you know he's putting the effort in we both are for that matter and we do this for fun and the love and passion we both share for films and music. No one is perfect. We all have our own ego's and demons but what's important is that we put them aside and try our best with doing the things we love and sharing them for people to see.

James doubted himself and I gave him a right boot in the motivational prep talk department saying to him: "Who cares about the dislikes or any trolling or anyone criticising saying this video ain't good ffs mun, It's views! You ain't Edgar you or I are not we aint on his level he's his own we have to make our own way our own style, we are noobs he's had years of experience and he has an entire film crew at his disposal for help and where as we have just started and it's just us and I say we've done a good enough job as we can. Everyone will see or can see that. I care about you getting the views than anything. We done some good shit and put some hardwork into it with you doing the most editing and writing and putting the song together lol I want people to see it and I want it to be shared. Years to come we'll look back on it and smile and see how far we have come no doubts there. Just don't worry about it. Just because i tagged Edgar does not mean he'll immediately go and watch it lol I doubt Edgar will watch it anyway unless loads ask him. Most famous people are like that. Takes an army of fleas to bring down a giant. So don't be ashamed of it or what ever, get your ego pumped up and just share, laugh at the haters if there's any at all, enable comments, share to acoustic pages and groups and music groups. Music just like acting requires you put yourself out there out of your comfort zone to become someone else. There's my motivational speech for the day, I hope you enjoyed and that you will take any hate and brush it aside and remember this is all experience and apart of the learning curve we will improve."

I literally messaged him that and I believe it made him feel better as he thanked me and sent a smiling emoji with a thumbs up one also. :)
Now to answer some question's I have been asked.

Q: "Were any tripods used to film?"
A: Only one scene was used with tripods and that's the close up on James's face when he wakes up. Rest was free hand.

Q: "What was the hardest part?"
A: Working around our crazy schedules and weather really haha. Other than that James did the handwork as he story boarded the entire music video, he edited it, he wrote the song of course, played the instruments, he did so much more than me just guiding or filming or saying this would look good or how about this etc you know so yeah he had hardwork on this more than me.

Q: "Any bloopers to this?"
A: "Yeah we captured a few for sure there's always outtakes to anything, however I am unsure if we will get a video on the bloopers or not. If we do I will let you know and share that!"

Q: "Any onset stories?"
A: "The world was our set for the record haha. Yes I suppose we had some stories. For example filming in one street we randomly had a guy come up to us who we assume was drunk or using some sort of substance anyway he was asking us if we wanted well Oral. Yep that he asked us, we were like wtf. We declined and moved on fast as we could however we did ran into him and see him a few more times that night but we avoided him at all times haha he was a creep. One other time we were filming in town and in the same street actually there was this helicopter which just kept circling us it was quite low and loud it was annoying but also we were wondering what it wanted and what it was up to. It was weird but it eventually left yay. On the way back from last day of shooting we walked past a guy who randomly punched a sign and just like that he disappeared into the night we did not see where he went but we were like "what in the hell is his problem?" But yeah some right nutters about where we went to film this haha that's all the stories I can think of at the moment."

Q: "Where can i watch this video?"

Q: "Can I download this song?"
A: Check this page out for more info - https://www.facebook.com/acousticjames

Any more Q's please feel free to comment or message me or Acoustic James :)

That's all I have for you guy's, so in short this shiny guy had a shiny time and he hopes you too stay shiny!

NHS appreciation post!

So the NHS has turned 70 it's crazy to think it's so young.
It's also crazy the amount of abuse the service gets and it's staff and that some government officials want to bring an end to the NHS.

If it wasn't for the NHS giving us free healthcare here in the UK our country would be so bad. We don't want to get into having to pay for hospital visits or stays, sorry but this might sound selfish of me to say but I don't think it's right to have to pay to get medical attention. I think it's a human right to get it for no payment options or taking out insurance to make sure we'll be ok if we do get hurt or ill. If we had to pay for our health services I think we in the UK would be in so much debt it's scary and let's hope it never happens.

In case you didn't know, I was born with a broken leg and for years up until I was 12, I was in and out of the hospital getting my leg re-broken and surgically repaired to go straight instead of inwards and I had physio to walk and I had to get specially made to fit shoes for my feet.

Top it off as a kid I also suffered from epilepsy so yeah how fun is it to black out, shake and lose consciousness and all my bodily functions while trying to breath and what have you, super fun am I right? Nope but you know that it's no fun or no laughing matter.

I once worked for the NHS as apart of the clerical team in Aberdare for a few months, it was apart of an apprenticeship scheme I did for TTC. Great team to work with I hope they are all doing well. I have family who also work in the NHS so they do some tremendous work also. Just felt like adding this in.

Anyway, the point is that without the love and support from my perants and the NHS and all the South Wales specialists I have seen and had help from for all of these years it would not have been possible for me to walk or to even live without the NHS.

I can't thank all the past and present staff of the NHS enough for their amazing work. To think 24/7 for over 70 years they've been hard at it saving so many lives it's amazing just phenomenal.

Thank You NHS!

Random Ramblin's 32 - Heyeayeayea! What's going on?!

Sup metallic nation? Hope you are doing well!

Been a while since i posted anything here, just wanted to post a bit of an update and stuff as ever that happens in a random ramblin instalment. First off...The world is such a scary place right now. Sending prayers and well wishes to all those affected in #Manchester

Now to talk about things that have gone on this month......

I have been mostly ill this month missing 4 days of work. All due to throat infection. It's delayed me writing and working and gaming and other things. Over it now although i do have some sort of rash on my hands but this could be unrelated anyway that's my main big delay.

Never been a big fan of #SamuraiJack but i am sad to see it end after all these years. It represents the last of the cartoon cartoons ending.

Ghosts are people from a parallel earth and only appear due to a bleeding effect in the universe? This is new theory and it has my attention.

Argh! Just realised i deleted save data for a game i just went back to playing, why me?! This is so annoying! It's ok i'll just get rid of this game bugger it.....
A message to all fame seekers, Get Famous for the Fame not for the Fortune....

2nd of May out of goodness of my heart and kindness of my wallet i ordered myself and my parents their first dominos pizza. They still prefer papa johns lol.

Found out next Predator film has started filming so i am hyped!

I seen my grandfather the other day first time since xmas, was nice to see him as ever, guy's a legend.

Seen Jeff Dunham live in Cardiff. Achmed was the best but i hardly really laughed most of it was just forced laughter from me. I always get let down seeing comedians live the big known ones anyway.

Well another season of the best show on telly has ended. I am sad but it was another great season #TheFlash @TheCW.

Sorted out my nephews Xbox 360 just a case of corrupted data with Minecraft.

Roger Moore has died. R.I.P.

Sports day
First time in years i went with my work and attended their sports day in Birmingham after 4 hours sleep and 5 hours travel and 6 hours of being in the rain playing football we got to Semi finals 4th place out of 17 teams. Good stuff right? I really wanted to win a trophy but hey next year i shall. I got us through the quarter finals in a penalty shootout i saved us, it was and is certainly a highlight. Great day despite the weather.

Film Bit
Green Room - Mad film but i'd only give it an ok score of 5/10.

Batman & Bill Documentary - Really interesting stuff. Never knew Bill Finger did so much for Batman always thought more highly of Bob Kane and now I'm thinking less of Bob. Marc Nobleman is a inspiration to me now. (I CAN'T RATE DOCUMENTARIES SORRY BUT IT WOULD BE HIGH)

Alien Covenant - Really disappointing film. Maybe extended cut will be better. Fassbender is best thing to watch it for. 5/10

Fast 8 - F8 of the furious eh? The fate was that it bored me mostly. I liked the prison fight scene. Never been much of a fan of this series though...

Yu-Gi-Oh!: The Dark Side of Dimensions - It's pretty good but lengthy. 7/10

Digimon Adventure tri. - Chapter 1: Reunion - Great start to a new adventure with the old gang. 8/10

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales - Was pretty good but mostly ok if this makes sense. I found a lot of it unfunny and predictable. Doubt it's the last pirates film. 6/10

Game Bit
COD Infinite Warfare - Well then that's the end of the campaign to that. I really enjoyed it's campaign. One of the best since black ops 2 I thought.

Smite - I got asked to play it, i had a go and i did not like it.

Mad Max - Bought it two days ago, only played a little bit seems pretty good so far.

Tales from Borderlands - Completed this again, nice to have had it free from ps plus.

WWE Supercard - Currently addicted to this game....

SOUTH PARK FRACTURED BUT WHOLE 17TH OCTOBER
RDR 2 DELAYED TIL 2018

My one wish for #E3 is for @Sony to not bring a new @PlayStation YET! Give it 5 more years!

Music Bit
I find Linkin Park's new album One More Light to be terrible and a lazy attempt at mainstream pop music from them which lacks any energy. It has two songs i like and you are left at points like "Oh this will build up and get better" to find out it does not is a huge disappointment just like finding out this is an album from Linkin Park. Most songs feel like they deserve to be given to other artist's to perform. Not all fans will like it, and also for saying I don't like it and that LP should go back to not selling out and to go make good creative energetic music again has earned me a block and a punch in the mouth from Chester Bennington, so you know he need's to put his ego in check or he will lose more fans, the stupid idiot. Check it out if you want to but you should avoid it to not feel disappointed and if anything just listen to "Good Goodbye" it's the best song on the album. Review over.....not worth rating, it's bad....

LAST BIT
Ok the other day i asked people, if i should make a page dedicated to my writing...i have done it!

If anyone else would like to check it out whilst it's got that new page smell then do so and a LIKE is really appreciated as ever.

Links to DOWNLOAD/READ 4 Ebooks from me are on the page now and it is FREE to do so. View it now!

Thanks for reading as ever, will see you soon :)

The 10 Best Guardians Of The Galaxy Tracks

What's up metallic nation? Hope you are well!

I went to the midnight release showing of Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 2 Thursday night 27th April and it is pretty amazing, a solid 8 out of 10 from me. Had a lot to live up to some of it was a bit out of place or all over the place or rushed in ways but it was funny and highly enjoyable.

To celebrate one of the most anticipated blockbuster movies this year in Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 2, i have decided to look over the first and second film's soundtracks and list the 10 best!

CLICK TO BOOK TICKETS!

Now Tyler Bates who composes the original soundtrack music on both Guardians does a fantastic job but i am not going to be listing his 10 best from Guardians just the 10 best from the mix tapes.

I will add Vol 2 is relatively new to when this list is released so the tracks off vol 2 will need more time to grow into liking more so following seeing the film and this list will contain links to the song's and facts about the film or songs!

Altogether besides original soundtrack the songs used is 26 so let's get down and pick the best 10 so let's tuck in.

This one the team gears up for battle and it's so suiting and a great punk track to kick the list off with a ch ch ch ch cherry BOMB! "Cherry Bomb" is a 1976 punk-influenced hard rock single by the all-girl band The Runaways from their self-titled debut album. It is regarded by many as the band's signature song. "Cherry Bomb" was also ranked 52nd on VH1's 100 Greatest Hard Rock Songs.  It reached #1 on the Japanese chart and #106 on the U.S chart.

The first song from Vol 2 to appear in this list is from the amazing Fleetood Mac! Yes they are in vol 2 with their hit the chain which is a wicked song, really catchy and one to bop your head too and rock out to half way through and one easily recognisable for it is used a lot in Formula 1 shows. "The Chain" is a song by the British-American rock band Fleetwood Mac, released on their best-selling album Rumours. It is the only song from the album credited to all five members (Stevie Nicks, Lindsey Buckingham, Christine McVie, John McVie, and Mick Fleetwood); "The Chain" was created from combinations of several previously rejected materials, including solo work by Buckingham, Nicks and Christine McVie. It was assembled, often manually by splicing tapes with a razor blade, at the Record Plant in Sausalito, California, with hired engineers Ken Caillat and Richard Dashut. The BBC's Formula One coverage used the ending bass line as a theme tune from 1978 until the BBC's loss of TV rights to ITV Sport in 1997, thus making the song highly recognisable in the United Kingdom. On 29 March 2009 the song re-entered the UK Chart at #94 through downloads, following confirmation from the BBC that it would be reintroduced, the BBC having regained broadcasting rights from ITV. On 20 March 2011, "The Chain" peaked higher at #81 in the UK chart following a campaign on Facebook to try to get the song to number 1 for the start of the 2011 Formula One season. By November 2014, the song had been certified Silver by the British Phonographic Industry based on download sales alone, making it one of Fleetwood Mac's most successful songs in the UK.

A really lovely song here and a nice moment of peace as Gamora and Star lord take a break and dance out their sexual chemistry, great scene between the two in volume 1 and it's such a great song to boot. One that has stuck in my mind since my first GOTG 1 showing. "Fooled Around and Fell in Love" is a single written and performed by blues guitarist Elvin Bishop. It appeared on his 1975 album Struttin' My Stuff and was released as a single the following year. Bishop does not sing lead vocals on the track; feeling that his gravelly voice wouldn't do the song justice, he invited vocalist Mickey Thomas, who was a background singer in his band at the time, to sing it. The song peaked at #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart in May 1976. The song went on to become a gold record.

A classic many knew of before GOTG 1 but it's so peaceful and relaxing and really catchy seriously if you don't like Pina Colada's you will definitely be singing this one love them or hate them haha. "Escape (The Piña Colada Song)" is a song written and recorded by British-born American singer Rupert Holmes for his album Partners in Crime. As the lead single for the album, the pop song was recommended by Billboard for radio broadcasters on September 29, 1979, then added to prominent US radio playlists in October–November. Rising in popularity, the song peaked at the end of December to become the last US number one song of the 1970s. The song speaks, in three verses and three choruses, of a man who is bored with his current relationship because it has become routine and he desires some variety. One night, he reads the personal advertisements in the newspaper and spots an ad that catches his attention: a woman who is seeking a man who, among other little things, must like piña coladas. Intrigued, he takes out an ad in reply and arranges to meet the woman "at a bar called O'Malley's", only to find upon the meeting that the woman is actually his current partner. The song ends on an upbeat note, showing that the two lovers realised they have more in common than they had suspected, and that they do not have to look any further than each other for what they seek in a relationship.

A scene no one can forget in GOTG 1 with Baby Groot dancing and going still when Drax looks in his direction. This like the one above is a classic tune and many heard before the film but it's so good and used in such a great fun cute way with Groot in the end of the first volume. "I Want You Back" is a 1969 song by the Jackson 5 which became a number-one hit for the band and the Motown label in early 1970.  "I Want You Back" was ranked 121st on Rolling Stone's list of The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.

Groot wanted to say hi or rather I am Groot....
Another new one from volume 2 and such a catchy one with it's chorus. I have never heard it prior to volume 2 but i wish i had, great song. I can't get the chorus out of my head though.....not a bad thing but it's just one i keep singing over and over lol. Silver was an American 1970s country rock band, best known for their 1976 pop hit "Wham Bam," written by country songwriter Rick Giles. It is ranked as the 70th biggest hit of 1976.

Now sadly i don't remember this playing in volume 2 movie but it was prominently played during all the commercials for guardians vol 2 and it's such a great catchy classic tune. "Fox on the Run" is a song by the British band Sweet, first recorded in 1974. It was Sweet's first single that was written by the band, rather than producers Nicky Chinn and Mike Chapman, and was their 14th single overall. The lyrics of the song are about groupies;"fox" being slang for an attractive woman.

Another iconic classic tune one which always gets me singing and dancing in a happy manner. Heard this song first when i was a child and for this to be in GOTG Vol 2 is just amazing! Hell of a way to kick off volume 2 with this happy catchy classic! "Mr. Blue Sky" is a song by British rock group Electric Light Orchestra (ELO), featured on the band's seventh studio album Out of the Blue (1977). Written and produced by frontman Jeff Lynne, the song forms the fourth and final track of the "Concerto for a Rainy Day" suite, on side three of the original double album. "Mr. Blue Sky" was the second single to be taken from Out of the Blue, peaking at number 6 in the UK Singles Chart and number 35 in the United States. The song was played as a wake-up call to astronaut Christopher Ferguson on Day 3 of STS-135, the final mission of Space Shuttle Atlantis.

The intro song for volume 1 such a fun memorable scene especially when Star Lord pick up the little dinosaur like creature and uses it as a microphone. Really catchy fun song, i have listened to it loads since my first showing of vol 1. "Come and Get Your Love" is a 1974 hit single by the Native American rock band Redbone. The song was written by band member Lolly Vegas and produced by Lolly and his brother Pat Vegas, who was also a band member. It was originally featured on Redbone's 1973 album, Wovoka; later the song appeared on many "greatest hits" albums released by the band, as well as on numerous compilation albums of the 1970s. The song peaked at number 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in April 1974. It spent 18 weeks in the Top 40 and landed as the 4th most popular song on the Hot 100 for 1974. The single was certified gold by the RIAA on April 22, 1974, which indicates that it had sold over half a million copies in the United States. The song is Redbone's highest charting single and one of two Top 40 hits by the band (an earlier recording, "The Witch Queen of New Orleans", peaked at number 21 in 1972).

Could there be any other number one? This is the one which started it all. Appearing in all the trailers and getting most publicity and air time during the films release and what not. A instant classic one which has been listened to countless time and is a hard one to get out of your head as it's so catchy. Hooked on a Feeling" is a 1968 pop song written by Mark James and originally performed by B. J. Thomas. Thomas's version featured the sound of the electric sitar, and reached number five in 1969 on the Billboard Hot 100. The Blue Swede version made singer Björn Skifs' "Ooga- Ooga- Ooga- Chacka" intro well known (and famous in Sweden at the time), however that intro was originally introduced by British musician Jonathan King in 1971.

List over, let's dance!
MOVIE FACT TIME:
After years of being labeled as "potential flop," Marvel Studio’s Guardians of the Galaxy emerged as the biggest Hollywood phenomenon of 2014 when it was released. ADAM SANDLER AND JIM CARREY WERE SERIOUSLY CONSIDERED FOR THE ROLE OF ROCKET! Gary Oldman, Viggo Mortensen, Christoph Waltz, Christopher Plummer, Max von Sydow, and Liam Neeson were considered for the role of Ego. Dave Bautista's Drax makeup took only 90 minutes to apply, down from four hours for the first film. However, he would have to sit in a sauna at the end of the day to get the makeup off.

That's it my guardians, please comment, like etc. Suggest other lists for me to cover.

Hope you liked this list.

That's all from me so please go out and go guard the galaxy ;)
