Bluey's Dad Is The Best Animated Dad!

Bandit Heeler is Bluey's dad, in the mega hit kids TV show of the titular character named Bluey. In all my years of seeing Dad's in animated shows and even in sitcoms of live action material, Dad's are always portrayed as silly, disgruntled, clumsy characters and portrayed as the butt of every joke.
Bluey's Dad, Bandit however is not any of those characteristics, he generally loves his kids and does all he can right by them. Bluey dad is an inspirational role model, a realistic expectation of a real dad as he does also have his flaws but he has amazing examples of gentle parenting. He always makes valuable life lessons fun and enjoyable even for the kids. Bandit is a stand-out father who has inspired real-life parents and guardians with his commitment to his kids and imaginative play. He not only takes care of his own children but also helps other kids, showing compassion and kindness. Bandit is always so commited to imaginative play and ensures the kids have fun and learn valuable lessons through the process. He has extreme patience and care and always puts his kids first no matter his mood or the type of day he is having.
In the episode "Takeaway," Bandit is tasked with running a few errands and brings Bluey and Bingo along. Tired of waiting for their to-go food, the girls start to pester Bandit and wreak havoc outside the restaurant. At first, Bandit is (understandably) frustrated and tries to keep his kids in line. Eventually, he comes to an important conclusion: the kids are just being themselves and there's no reason to be overly stressed. Bluey regularly does a great job of illustrating parenting's challenges. Bandit's arc in "Takeaway" isn't just a crucial representation, but one of those times Bluey is more for adults than kids.

There are many times when Bluey tackles serious issues, though the episode called "Stickbird" stands out for its portrayal of navigating mental health-related concerns. During "Stickbird," the Heelers enjoy a day of sun, sand, and waves, but Bandit is clearly preoccupied with something. Unable to be fully present, he often stares off into the distance and remains pretty quiet. "Let it go, babe," Chilli says. "You're missing all of this." While the show never reveals what's troubling Bandit, it reiterates the importance of honoring one's mental health, while also encouraging folks to let go of the burdens that bog them down.

An ongoing gag in Bluey is that Bandit is always having the laundry basket knocked out of his hands. While it's more of a funny in-joke for fans than anything else, the recurring laundry issue reiterates that Bandit doesn't let the small things get to him. When kids don't fully understand the many chores and stressors that come with "adulting" it's easy to feel frustrated and overwhelmed, especially when the little things pile up. Bandit's more "go with the flow" attitude emphasizes the importance of not taking everything too seriously.

Even some of the worst parenting moments in Bluey prove that Bandit is one of TV's best dads, largely because Bandit's flaws make him more believable. Throughout the course of the series, Bandit has a few pretty hard-to-swallow moments. In "Obstacle Course," his pride gets the best of him: at the end of the race, he blatantly cheats to beat Bluey, who trained very hard. In "Mini Bluey," Bandit shows his favouritism toward the more well-mannered Bingo in front of Bluey. Weirdly, he never apologizes. While these Bluey moments shouldn't serve as a guide for parents, they help make Bandit a more well-rounded, relatable father figure.
These are just some of the reasons and standout moments for me as to why Bandit Heeler is the best animated TV dad. Thanks for reading and visiting my blog, stay shiny and follow for more!

The Sophie Lancaster Story & The Sophie Lancaster Foundation

Sophie Lancaster was a young woman who was murdered for being different. She and her boyfriend Rob were creative, artistic people who dressed in their own unique way which was more accustomed to the alternative music scene. They were sadly attacked by a gang of five boys in a park in Lancashire on 11 August 2007. The gang attacked Sophie’s boyfriend first and then turned on her, carrying out a brutal and sustained attack. Sophie remained in hospital for 13 days, before her family following medical advice agreed to life support being switched off.
Sophie died on 24 August 2007; she was just 20 years old. There was a heart breaking program made by the BBC titled "Murdered for being different" back in 2017 and it followed Sophie's story and was made to honour Sophie and raise awareness.

I first discovered the Sophie Lancaster Foundation and about Sophie and her story through this BBC program and I was shocked, devastated and filled with anger, because it's a story that hits close to home with myself and I can resonate with, as I'm very much apart of the alternative music scene and have been bullied and beaten up in school for the music tastes I have and for the way I have looked. I felt so angry because these five boys could have just left things be and walked away done nothing and everyone would have walked away just fine but they went too far and no one especially Sophie deserved that attack and it makes my blood boil to this day that this would happen and has happened to Sophie and to others too.

Sophie’s mother, Sylvia had decided during the long hours at hospital when Sophie was better, they would go into schools and talk to young people about difference, and how it is ok to be who you are and express yourself in your own way. Sadly, Sylvia never got a chance to do this with Sophie. Sylvia was determined that she would carry on this work and The Sophie Lancaster Foundation was established as a lasting legacy to a beautiful life cut short by violence.

THE SOPHIE LANCASTER FOUNDATION
STAMP OUT PREJUDICE, HATRED AND INTOLERANCE EVERYWHERE.
The Sophie Lancaster charity works to promote tolerance and acceptance for others however different. The Foundation’s mission is to stamp out prejudice hatred and intolerance everywhere. When news of the attack broke donations was sent to Sophie's home and many events, concerts got set up and raised money for the foundation and to also raise awareness. The foundation also notably worked with Coronation Street for a recent storyline on the tv program.

The Foundation was registered as a charity in 2009, their goals are as follows; To create a lasting legacy to Sophie. To provide educational group-works that will challenge the prejudice and intolerance towards people from alternative subcultures. To campaign to have the UK Hate Crime legislation extended to include people from alternative subcultures.

In 2013, Greater Manchester Police became the first police force in the country to monitor hate crimes and incidents against alternative people. It is a huge achievement for the charity that a total of 18 police forces in England and Wales now do so. The charity regularly participates in conferences, events and schools and even prisons to spread Sophie's word and legacy to teach others the devastating impact of their negative words and violence towards others and to share Sophie's story. In hopes to educate others to do better and to be kind.

Help save Cardiff's Doctor Who Experience from closure!

The Doctor Who Experience brings people closer to the show than ever before. It's a great way of storing used props, costumes and sets and makes them all accessible to viewing pleasure in person. Cardiff's 'Doctor Who Experience' brings much in the way of tourism to an otherwise socioeconomically deprived area, gives local people jobs, does much to improve the economy and let's face it: in these dark post-Brexit days, we all need some escapism. People from all over the world have travelled to the place it's become an iconic part of Cardiff and a must see place.

The Doctor Who Experience (DWE) in Cardiff Bay is closing, probably in early summer of 2017.

For the past few years visitors have been able to explore the Tardis, and see costumes and props from various series stretching back since the programme first hit screens in 1963. It’s nothing less than a place of pilgrimage for Whovians and a significant tourist draw.

Having started it's life in 2006 at the Red Dragon Centre, it soon moved to London and then expanded into the purpose-built grey building in the area now know as Porth Teigr in July 2012. It has brought millions of pounds and millions of people to Cardiff. Many of those visitors would not have otherwise experienced our brilliant city.

The petition and facebook page were set up by Bex Ferriday who has done a fantastic campaign of trying to keep the Doctor Who Experience open. I signed the petition back when it was just over a few hundred likes and to see it now get over 11,000 signatures i feel like we are onto a winner here in which hopefully will see the building survive for a lot longer.

I have not been to the Dr Who experience since 2006 and i'd love to go again and i don't want to see this fabulous experience demolished and i hope to go to it again one day before it's closure.

Top 10 Sitcoms!

It ain't half hot mum but this list is. So hi de hi to you all!

Today i will be counting down the list of my fave top 10 sitcoms.

This topic was suggested by Louis Evans so shoutout to him and a big thanks to him also.

This list was so tough to make but i have just finished it and it'll do for this point in time as my list is always changing since i love so many sitcoms and there's always new ones coming out so you know.

Ok this is it.

At number

10: Porridge
It's a show about The prison life of Fletcher played by Ronnie Barker, a criminal serving a five-year sentence, as he strives to bide his time, keep his record clean, and refuses to be ground down by the prison system. It ran for 4 years on the BBC channel and is such a hilarious classic show that it's still remembered and aired in the uk to this day.

9: Father Ted
Crazy sitcom about 3 priests and their housekeeper who live on Craggy Island, not the peaceful and quiet part of Ireland it seems! It ran for 3 years on and off and had 25 episodes and it's comical humor is still great today, as i can always find it being rerun late at night on tv and rewatch and laugh as if it was the first time i am seeing it. Classic.

8: Mr.Bean
Life is a difficult challenge for Mr Bean, who despite being a grown adult, has trouble completing even the simplest of tasks. Thankfully, his perseverance is usually rewarded, and he finds an ingenious way around the problem. Mr.Bean started in 1992 and has always bean one of my fave characters and shows despite not much diologue taking place the character is so hilarious with his actions and situations he gets into and the things he does. Mr.Bean has had animated series, live action series, 2 movies, countless sketches for charity and Rowan Atkinson still does bean things today of course. The character is not retired or anything just he has breaks before we see him pop back up again in these days. Such a classic show and character though not much else i can say other than BEAN COMEBACK! You know the intro was always weird to me when he'd fall down from a spotlight the angelic choir made me think oh he fell from heaven its just a joke then another thing makes me wonder is what if he got abducted by aliens and is now this stupid man of what he used to be lol People have often talked about Mr.Bean as if that it's cruel this program and character is because it makes the audience laugh at a differently abled man when it should not be the case. I dont know about that or laughing at him because the character is handicapped as people put it but i just laugh because it's funny because it's mr. freakin bean and he is just made up and a hilarious character written perfectly.

7: Scrubs
In the unreal world of Sacred Heart Hospital, intern John "J.D" Dorian learns the ways of medicine, friendship and life and death. I don't want to class this as strictly a comedy even if most aspects of it are comedic but it's also very dramatic too. I love scrubs the characters the writing the people the lessons and music and actors all blend in perfectly well and i love them so much. Some episode make me roll on the floor in laughter and others make me sit in bed crying eating pizza. That's the power of scrubs. The series after 8 was terrible by the way enough said there.

6: Fawlty Towers
DON'T MENTION THE WAR! Hotel owner Basil Fawlty's incompetence, short fuse, and arrogance form a combination that ensures accidents and trouble are never far away. John Cleese is so amazing so funny this is what makes the series great just his character's relationship with everyone and his interactions especially him and Manuel's relationship. Classic show.

5: Blackadder
For this i include all of the seasons of Blackadder and not just season 1 since the different seasons and movie have different names and time era's of which they are set in. Blackadder is home to so many iconic cult moments, characters and quotes. All i have to say is Baldrick and no doubt some of you out there will know what i mean and yes i do mean the character but no doubt you will have a fave moment in mind or quote.

4: Friends
10 years 236 episodes friends is the tale of a bunch of friends who live in Manhattan and tells the tales of their comedic lives quite frankly this is all it's about it's such a classic i have seen every episode at least three times growing up.

3: Only Fools & Horses
Classic comedy following the misadventures of two Wheeler Dealer brothers Del Boy and Rodney Trotter who scrape their living by selling dodgy goods believing that next year they will be millionaires. So many classic scenes characters and quotes such a loveable and iconic series.

2: Red Dwarf
The adventures of the last human alive and his friends, stranded three million years into deep space on the mining ship Red Dwarf. Iconic classic one of my fave series and it's still ongoing too its a cult classic.

1: The Simpsons
The Simpsons is an animated sitcom about the antics of a dysfunctional family called the Simpsons (surprise surprise). Homer is the oafish unhealthy beer loving father, Marge is the hardworking homemaker wife, Bart is the ten year old mischievous underachiever , Lisa is the unappreciated eight year old genius, and Maggie is the cute, pacifier loving silent baby. Spanning almost 30 seasons 1 movie and has run for almost 30 years with multiple comics, dvds, vhs, games all about the simpsons its a massive cult icon in the world today everyone knows of it and will no doubtly be in everyone's list some way shape or form when making their own surely. Classic series and it's no surprise it would be in the top spot.

Honourable Mentions!
Dad's Army
The Young One's
Vicar Of Dibley
Family Guy
Keeping Up With Appearances
One Foot In The Grave
Gavin & Stacey
The I.T. Crowd

Star Wars: The Force Awakens!(SPOILER FREE)

I have been on the ball lately and not on BB-8 but i was a lucky git and top it off Wednesday night at midnight i attended the screening for THE FORCE AWAKENS! Here are my thoughts and spoiler free of course!
SW-THE-FORCE-AWAKENS
“There has been an awakening…..have you felt it?” Yes i certainly have as i slept all day, as i was just tired from NXT the night before and it was also to ensure i did not fall asleep in the cinema watching star wars. I got up at 4pm! 4PM!, I KNOW WHAT A LAZY GIT THIS FORCE IS! The anticipation for the film has been building up since the first trailer and the wait all day was long and agonizing. The previews and trailers before the film seemed to go on for a life time! IT IS NOT NEEDED, PLEASE STOP, WE GET IT OTHER FILMS ARE COMING OUT BUT WE WANT STAR WARS! I got in the cinema at 11pm and i collected my tickets and bought a pair of limited edition 3d glasses for me and my friend at the counter. James my friend had a Stormtrooper and i had Mr.Anger issues himself Kylo Ren. The Ren 3d glasses were bit annoying for me to wear but they are so cool! This was the first midnight showing i attended and I also got interviewed by a member of the BBC he asked for my thoughts on the film and if its the first time i have attended a midnight premier. Pretty interesting indeed.

I was surprised to see just 3 people dressed up,i was going to dress up but i could not find my darn costume and i was also not sure if they would allow it as some theaters were not allowing costumes in. I seen a man dressed as Princess Leia which was a scary but funny site. I seen an old man dress as old Ben Kenobi and finally some guy dressed as Darth Maul all pretty random. The screening i saw was 3d and surprisingly enough a couple rows were empty when they said it’s all sold out it is odd did people forget about the force? Do not turn to the darkside they may have cookies but the light side has…erm…well…fine i will take a cookie…nom…nom.
Latest-The-Force-Awakens-Trailer-Description
At about 10 past 12 the screen finally displayed “STAR WARS THE FORCE AWAKENS!” which is rated 12A by the way and the whole screening room erupted in laughter as 3 wookie’s appeared from nowhere and started to make their noises, honestly if you know the sounds Chewbacca makes well some erupted with those while others laughed at them. I was laughing even though secretly i wanted to join my wookie brothers. Then there it was right after the lucusfilms logo as bright as day STAR WARS ROLLING TEXT OPENING WITH THE GLORIOUS FAMOUS LEGENDARY JOHN WILLIAMS SIGNATURE MUSIC! OH WHAT A DAY,WHAT A LOVELY DAY! The kid in me was so pumped i fist bumped my friend because i just had to! I was just fist pumping the air in my chair reading the text. The basic plot of the film is the good guys are still fighting the bad guys but both are still at stalemate while both seem to be looking to find the location of the missing Luke Skywalker that is what the main plot is but what follows that is more excitement, intensity, fondness and sadness oh boy that is no spoiler i know people who cried at the scrolling text bro!

It was nice to look at,the music was nice, the script was solid, the story was solid, the overall cinematography and actors all solid as were the characters the only downside for me was the reveals they just came out with it openly rather than get stuff remaining a mystery even though there is a lot of mystery and things still to discover and find out about. I also did not feel like the 3d was worth it i can hardly remember anything that came right out of the screen at me. It is crazy to think i was one of many people around the uk first to see star wars before anyone else in the world. The old crew returned in the form of Leia,Han,Chewie,C3-PO & R2D2 which was lovely they have not changed one bit besides aging of course not even in a galaxy far far away in a long time ago can fix aging. Now let’s talk about the new generation of characters i loved them all if i am honest well i believe seeing more of Phasma and Snoke may get me to like them but i am not entirely sold on them yet. Poe surprised me i thought i was not going to like him odd as that sounds but i loved him he is awesome so are Finn and Rey oh oh and BB-8! They all remind me of the original guys but a bit different of course and the film also strongly reminded me of episode 4 and the original trilogy just of course twisted into its own being.

The wait was worth it and the film is amazing! GO SEE IT RIGHT NOW!
