Blue Beetle - Extraterrestrial Blast! (FILM REVIEW)
The ROAD to the DCU (dc's new cinematic universe) STARTS HERE!!!!
So If you are not aware Blue Beetle is the first movie in the long awaited Gunn lead era of Warner Bro's DC universe of cinematic films. Xolo Mariduena stars in the leading role as Jaime Reyes and this is directed by Angel Manuel Soto. Jaime Reyes suddenly finds himself in possession of an ancient relic of alien biotechnology called the Scarab. When the Scarab chooses Jaime to be its symbiotic host, he's bestowed with an incredible suit of armour that's capable of extraordinary and unpredictable powers, forever changing his destiny as he becomes the superhero Blue Beetle.
I thought BB was bloody brilliant, I want more, and I also want to see it again!
JaÃme played by Xolo was absolutely incredible just as I imagined. He was perfectly cast. This film is a great start to the new DC universe of films. The Uncle and Nana were so funny. The villains were a bit meh, but I did like Carapax once we got into his story he was more interesting than the Evil CEO Kord lady.
The fighting scenes were awesome! Music and lighting was so cool and synth-wavey and for me that's always loved. Heart, humour and inspiring superhero film.
There's two after credits and the first is so interesting yet the second is uh weird to say the least, and you don't have to stay for that unless you want to show your love or want to see some more Latino representation. The Latino representations in this film I felt were on point and great to see for a change.
8.5/10
A good time no energy drinks needed.
I was hooked all through the film and I very much enjoyed.
Please go see this film and do not sleep on it!

THE BATMAN - A Vengeful Review
It's finally time to see The Batman!
THIS REVIEW HAS NO SPOILERS!!!!
It's one of my most anticipated films this year and has been for a while. I was sceptical of the casting and the look of the Bat-mobile but once the trailer hit us, I was highly interested and fascinated. The hype for this film has been high and sometimes when a film gets clips put out a few mins long before the film lands in cinemas, it can go one of either good or bad ways especially when a film gets a lot of hype and fortunately it did not go south at all! I am Scott aka 1stmetalgod and welcome to my blog and welcome to my Batman film review.
The Batman takes place in Bruce Wayne's second year as Batman and people are being killed during the week of Halloween and cryptic clues and messages, or more precisely riddles are being left at the scene of each murder. It's up to The Batman to forge new relationships and call upon old friendships, unmask the culprit and bring justice to the abuse of power and corruption that has long plagued the city of Gotham.
This is a comic book movie like no other! The performances from every actor in this film is fantastic. One unnamed character however is easily from the city itself of Gotham, the tone, the lighting, the visuals and overall atmosphere are phenomenal and what we should have always expected for and from a Batman film and also the score by Michael Giacchino is phenomenal and so catchy but each track also has personality hidden in it, take The Batman's theme for example it starts slow, dark, broody, ominous with a little western edge of tolling bells with fantastic slow building string instruments which lulls into the misery and grief that is inside Batman before transitioning back into the world's greatest detective and caped crusader and Gotham's own symbol of hope and fear, Mr. Vengeance himself, BATMAN.
A beautiful score one which leaves with us cinema goers and follows us home. Flawless cinematography of which makes me think this was inspired by The Joker movie's artsy style. Here is a great Batman film in which it captures the detective side and elements of him perfectly and also THE FEAR and mythological presence of the legendary dark knight. This is quite possibly the best portrayal of the comic Batman we have had. This film takes many elements from comics like The Long Halloween, Telltale's Arkham Games, Batman Hush storyline, Arkham Asylum fight scenes, Batman Year One and even like I mentioned already Joker movie just to name a few. Matt Reeves and all the cast and crew have done a fantastic job here!
Gordon and Penguin were great and I cannot wait to see more of them in this universe and how Colin Farrell does with Penguin going forward and I can say the same for Zoe as Catwoman also who was really good. Rob and Zoe's chemistry was great and believable. The Riddler was scary and unnerving. Pat-man himself Rob was really good and even then by saying really good I don't feel like that does it Justice! The one thing I heard from big critics about this film was the fact that "Batman and Bruce feel the exact same broody boy and it's easy to tell it's the same exact person where as it should be not so distinguishable" and I get that absolutely BUT as Bruce remarks in the movie he's been doing this for 2 years and he has become a nocturnal animal and a shut in as Bruce and he puts all of him into Batman more than Bruce, so in all that time over those 2 years it's easy for him to have lost who is who in the inner conflict shuffle of his personality, the boy is tired, beat up, scarred and emotionally drained. I look forward to seeing more of Andy as Alfred too! As much as I love Alfred in general this was more Gordon & Batman which hey, it's still so great!
This is a great standalone movie with high potential for a new massive Batman franchise and I cannot wait for more!

Machine Head - Arrows In Words From The Sky E.P. Review
Machine head are one of my fave bands and I have had the honour of meeting before and they are such lovely tidy down to earth Guys. Their music speaks volumes and dives into so many emotions and feelings and events. I love and appreciate their musical talents so much! So they recently dropped a 3 track e.p. and they have posted sneak peaks into the making of the album and the hype I had was immeasurable and HERE WE ARE!!!!
Detailing the dark place this material came from, frontman Robb Flynn explained to Kerrang magazine: “The lyrics to these songs took to me places inside I didn’t want to go, from the bile and negativity on Rotten, to nothing-will-beat-me-down fury of Become The Firestorm, to the title-track Arrows… being one of the saddest songs I’ve ever written, yet somehow has the power to lift me up out of what was a very dark time in my life. “My hope is that by sharing these dark experiences with the Head Cases of the world, it can save someone else out of that same dark place,” he says.
BECOME THE FIRESTORM - Blast beats in a Machine Head song... honestly didn't expect that. I like it. This song is a whole lotta anger and frustration to me it feels very like reflective of the apocalyptic times of 2020 but that's my take on my feeling for the song.
ROTTEN - This one is going to be BANGIN' live, i swear down this is going to be such a fucking anthem to hear live. It's groovy and chunky as fuck! "I stare into the black, Anxiety attack, My heart is racing as my throat's constricting, With every cut and scrape, My skin it palpitates, Lying awake, I feel the terror grip me" - I love that verse, i really feel it.
ARROWS IN WORDS FROM THE SKY - Lot of emotion here, it's a great little flowing ballad. I really feel this song and connect and sing it alot since the release of the song.
I wish this E.P. was a full album because with material like this, it could be a contender for top tier MH albums. What a fucking 3 track album this is!
I NEED A PHYSICAL RELEASE OF THIS ALBUM!!!!

The Mitchells Vs. The Machines - Film review! - Robotically Pleasing!

The Plot: A quirky, dysfunctional family's road trip is upended when they find themselves in the middle of the robot apocalypse and suddenly become humanity's unlikeliest last hope.
Funfact: This film was originally named Connected.
Sony's animation studios has done their magic again with the design and animation style very similar to Spiderverse and this film is as good as that!
I really enjoyed it!
9/10

Random Ramblin's 38 - The Phoenix Lifestyle
I have not been writing here so much or on my Word program much at all really these past few months but i have been writing and not a lot is finished nor published yet but soon they will be just be prepared. I have been writing quite a bit in my notebook mind you so just to let you know all is well and things are on hiatus whilst i continue to actually enjoy living my life, which might sound or come across wrong but i feel for the longest time i have not lived and now i am so that's new. I am seeking suggestions for lists and top tens and anything you can shake a stick at so hit me up any time and i might get cracker lacking on the writing.
The reason behind the title is that i feel reborn like my life is not the same as it use to be and i hardly recognise my past life now so here i am risen out of the ashes like a Phoenix and may i burn brightly forever more.
Tv Watch List
The Flash, Izombie (final season), Gotham (final season), Game Of Thrones (final season), Big Bang Theory (final season). A lot of final seasons are going and ending this year. I am going through them slowly and i have been enjoying. Also me and my Mrs been watching dragonball again from the start so it's a hell of an adventure we have on our hands.

CLICK HERE TO SEE ALL THE FILMS I AM WATCHING THIS YEAR AND THE ONES I HAVE ALREADY WATCHED AND WHAT I THOUGHT OF THEM WITH RATING SCORES OUT OF 10.
John Wick 3 - Holy shit just when you think you have seen it all here comes Baba Yega with annother round of gun-fu lots of gun-fu. Dogs have a lot of bite. Characters and world building is amazing, i thoroughly enjoyed this hard hitting action flick. 8/10
Detective Pikachu - Although amazing in its cgi and visuals the story and characters fall rather flat and you can easily figure out whos bad and good and whats going to happen before it happens in this film so thats a bit disappointing but its humorous and it's largely upheld thanks to Ryan and Justice and their relationship and chemistry and Ryan does practically carry the entire movie i would say with ease but i enjoyed i wish i had this film when i was a kid. 7/10
I got life is strange season 2 to begin aswell.
Fortnite as ever changes every season and it always has ups and downs but with a friend or two i still have an immense amount of fun playing it.

I am currently playing Animal crossing new lead on 3ds.
I am dying to play MK 11 and A Way Out.
Music
Slipknot are back with a new album coming soon aswell as new song called Unsainted which is a heavy hitter and displays the bands new album sound or a taste of it aswell as revealing the members new masks because here we are in the new era of the Knot. I love it and all out life is also a banger but apparently is not featured on the new album, strange that. Unsainted = 9/10
Serj Godzilla cover song is brilliant 9/10.
Taylor Swift has returned with Me! - A catchy colourful video featuring a brilliant collaboration with Brendan Urie of Panic At The Disco fame. Me = 7/10
Jonas Bros have resurfaced with 2 new songs and a new album on the way and Sucker is catchy and Cool is just bad. Sucker = 7/10
