WRESTLEMANIA 40 PREDICTIONS

Night 1

- Rhea (w) vs Becky

- Gunther (w) vs Sami Zayn

- Jey Uso (w) vs Jimmy Uso

- Tag Team Ladder Match: Awesome Truth & Waller/Theory

- Damage Ctrl vs Cargill/Naomi/Bianca (w)

- Team Dom (w) vs Team Rey

- Bloodline (w) vs Rollins & Rhodes

Didn't do too bad with Night 1 predictions. Gunther winning I had wrong and Team Dom was wrong.

Night 2:

- Drew (w) vs Rollins

- Iyo Sky vs Bayley (w)

- Paul (w) vs Owens vs Orton

- LA Knight (w) vs AJ Styles

- Final Testament vs Team Lashley (w)

- Cody Rhodes vs Roman Reigns (w)

Well night 2 was much better but I had 2 major ones wrong. Cody finished his story and Drew held the title in front of a sold out wrestlemania crowd only to lose it 5 mins later to Priests cash in.

The Iron Claw (Film Review)

SONS. BROTHERS. CHAMPIONS.
The true story of the inseparable Von Erich brothers, who made history in the intensely competitive world of professional wrestling in the early 1980s. Through tragedy and triumph, under the shadow of their domineering father and coach, the brothers seek larger-than-life immortality on the biggest stage in sports.

Zac Effron and all the cast and crew were fantastic and this film will have you go through so many emotions. Mostly gut wrenching sadness and anger. The dad is a real piece of work and the brothers are so sweet and hard working and you can't help but to think how different things would be if their dad was easier on them. Great songs here also. Lilly James was good as always and she's always a fave actress of mine.

In summary The Iron Claw is abso-fucking-lutely heartbreaking true story of one of the world's most famous wrestling families and their curse. Excellent all round film. I enjoyed and I cried.

Random Ramblin's 50 - The Return Update

24/8/22 - That was the last time I did a Random Ramblin's post. The other random or rambly posts have been a part of my late night series of Ramblin's, which are sort of continuation of these RR posts, but the LNR posts tend to be about 1 topic rather than RR's multiple. Anyway, with that bit of random ramblin all wrapped out and cleared up, let's continue and dive into my life and what exactly has been going on since 24 August 2022.

RANDOM RAMBLIN'S

LIFE
Understandably I went through a rough time in 2022 BUT there were highlights from gigs I attended and of course making new cool friends and memories made with gaming with my existing friends too. RR's have a tendency of having large gaps of time between posts, why? Well the answer is simply I work on other things and forget to update about my life or anything cool or important happened or happening or anything I am looking forward to. So yeah and well outside of blogging and writing, I work and spend time with friends and family and my Girlfriend. Yes, I have a new GF, and she is so special, funny, cute, gorgeous, smart and just the world and more, she is everything I have ever dreamed of, and she makes me happy, and I feel so blessed and lucky and grateful for her and to share a world with her.
Since my last post I finished working the BAR for F&B's and now work as Customer Assistant for a book and hobby craft shop local to me, and it's great honestly, I love it and the crew I work with. I have never been happier in a job than I have in there. I'm also 30 now so wooo hahaha.

My rebuild of myself has been carrying on still as I gym it up, 2 times a week doing some weight lifting and cardio. 5 stone down and kept that 5 stone off last year, which is amazing. I feel my muscles getting bigger and my strength increasing, and I find the gym, fun and enjoyable and I love to go twice a week if I can.

The World Of Wrestling
It's funny how since the last RR post and this one that Vince has left and come back to the WWE twice. He seems to be gone for good now mind as the new allegations are really bad against him and the only way to win is to step down and go fight the allegations and provide the truth and if he is innocent ok that's cool but if not, well that's not good and expect to see him erased from wwe history. The Rock also now is a head shareholder of WWE and also owns his own Trademarked name "The Rock".
Rock is stealing Cody's spot against Roman at Wrestlemania. So Cody dropped his rumble winning privilege for nothing, so what was the point of him winning? I guess time will tell with what happens next as fans rally online for Cody. Oh never mind, during the course of me writing this post things have changed again and Cody Vs Roman is happening at Mania. WWE is also moving to netflix. The network is shutting down and they stopping dvds and blu-rays.
TNA is back and now after all these years of hard work and blood, sweat and tears, the man we owe so much thanks to has been fired from the company. We love and miss you Scott D'Amore.
Sting captured his final title in AEW and that's the tag titles with Darby Allin.

Film & Tv
The Iron Claw, the wrestling movie based on the true tragic story of one of the wrestling worlds most famous family, The Von Erich's is in cinemas now and it's heartbreaking but also spectacular.

A new DragonBall project is coming titled Daima and its set before Super but after Z and all our fave Z warriors been turned to kids again? It looks weird but its going to be something I watch and love no doubt because of DB.

A NEW MY HERO ACADEMIA MOVIE IS COMING!!!!
I re-watched Tomochan is a girl again and it's so lovely🥰 I need the manga and another season.

Music & Gigs
I am off to see Alestorm, Dragonforce & Amaranthe. Unfortunately Sleeptoken Cardiff is sold out😭
Poppy got new song Collab out with Bad Omens called VAN and it's good and catchy.
New band and my current fave album of the year is Dominum's - Hey Living People. It's so good!

The closing notes
I am also on Letterboxd so if you want to see my ratings or some reviews for films, join me there!

Top 10 AEW Males 2023

It is time for me to give you 10 of my fave male AEW talents from 2023. This and the Female AEW list were requested, and so here I am to deliver. Enjoy!
10: Mark Briscoe
After the tragic passing of his brother Jay, Mark Briscoe has stepped up and ensured the legacy of Jay carries on and stays strong, with Mark carrying on. He's a great performer and entertainer and has had amazing matches and moments this year.

9: Jay White
The bang bang gang's leader makes my list after being so entertaining and hard-working, Jay White is one of the best talents on the planet and no doubt in time he will be on the mountain top.

8: Eddie Kingston
Eddie Kingston is finally getting the gold and recognition after all this time, the dude puts on a hell of a performance and makes everything blurred feeling so real. He's a hell of a guy and after winning the ROH world title he is here on the list.

7: Daniel Garcia
The pro wrestler and dragon slayer dances his way onto the list, he's a tough cookie, and he continues to walk the line of sports entertainer and pro wrestler.

6: Christian
Silence for our Father figure is here haaha yes, Christian has certainly made the rounds and improved himself to extraordinary levels this year, all by adopting some young talent with no dads and being the ultimate villain.

5: Samoa Joe
The most dominant ROH tv champ in history is here, I have loved Joe for years and this year he's had a great push and even if it was weird for him to drop his roh title just to fight max one more time, it's also cool because he's a shark in a small tank, and he wants to go eat bigger prey.

4: John Moxley
No list would be complete without the Mox himself, Honestly every top 10 AEW talent list should always include Mox somewhere, he is an absolute unit!

3: Orange Cassidy
The careless fighting champion who is freshly squeezed, he has held the international title twice and defended it for 326 days and that equals over 30 opponents! He has worked effortlessly defending his title and being banged up and then coming back healed after losing his title only to win it back, and he's still defending it as of writing haha.

2: Swerve Strickland
Top rope catch a vibe, because I swerve when I drive! WHO'S HOUSE?! SWERVE'S HOUSE! So his feud's have been incredible and Swerve continues to improve and build and get bigger and bigger with each time he sets foot in any arena. His recent Hangman feud was insane, and their death match was a mega contender for match of the year, there's no way to not have Swerve anywhere else on my list than right here. I can't wait for him to go beef it up with MJF.

1: MJF
He's our Scumbag, and he is number 1 here on my list. What can we say about Max? He's a megastar, hard-working, great moves, stories and promos' that hit out of this world. Max holds the longest aew world title reign and his character is ever evolving and so layered and his stories and feuds this year has been outstanding, and I can't wait for more.

That concludes my AEW lists, thanks for visiting my blog and reading these posts :)

Top 10 AEW Females 2023

Aew has a stacked roster and I was recently asked about who are my fave female wrestlers in AEW,
So here are my top 10 of this year :)
10: Jade Cargill
The longest reigning TBS champ and also with a long reigning undefeated streak, Jade left AEW earlier this year for new pastures and no doubt she will be an even bigger success.

9: D.M.D. Britt Baker
Of course, I will put Britt on my list, she is an exceptional talent, and although we have seen less of her the past few months, she certainly is a staple in AEW.

8: Taya Valkyrie
Although Taya has been around for years and a fave of mine since appearing in TNA, she has gone to AEW this year and made a nice impact....no pun intended.

7: Skye Blue
A new talent that first emerged full of smiles and with lots of internet love for her *ahem* "asset" but since feuding with Julia Hart she has been getting darker and more violent and rocks a new look at the moment. A great athlete and even more mysterious gimmick.

6: Willow Nightingale
Another relatively new talent, Willow has exploded on the scene with her bold yet friendly nature and loveable smile and personality, I am happy enough to list her here as she has impressed me throughout her time.

5: Saraya
Saraya had an amazing moment this year in AEW ALL IN London unfortunately it was not capitalized up on. She still has it and is a draw.

4: Hikaru Shida
Shida is always a phenomenal talent, and she always deserves to be on any AEW womens list.

3: Kris Statlander
Since returning from injury and beating the undefeated TBS champ, Kris has been on fire and keeps getting better with each defence.

2: Julia Hart
A cheerleader turned into a dark and gothic, mysterious force of nature with The House Of Black. I am happy she won the TBS title recently, she has been built up so well and gets better and better every week. She is also AEW's youngest champion in history at just 22 years old.

1:Toni Storm
It's Toni's world, and we are clearly living in it. The descent into her madness and Hollywood stardom has been incredible, and in a short time she has run up 3 title reigns as AEW women's champ.

That is my list all done, look out for my top 10 tag teams and AEW Male Wrestlers lists, both coming out soon! Thanks for reading and visiting, Stay Shiny!

Top 10 Wrestling Tag Teams 2023

2023 is drawing to an end, and so I was asked to name some of my fave wrestlers of the year, and so this list is all about those tag teams that have stood out to me and I have enjoyed the most this year. This list will not be featuring tag teams from NJPW or other British or other indie companies purely because I do not watch a lot of them as compared to WWE, AEW & TNA.
10: DIY
Recently reformed and as good as ever.

9: The Creed Brothers aka Diamond Mine
Now, it's taken me a long time to like these boys, but the past few months they have come into their own and their current main roster run has been insane!

8: Imperium
Imperium is an absolute unit, with the ring general leading the team, they are one of the most dominant teams today.

7: Sami & Ko
Of course when these two come together it's gold, glad to see them team in wwe.

6: Bullet Club Gold
The Bang Bang Gang are absolutely extraordinarily talented wrestlers and are so entertaining also, shoutout to Cardblade haha.

5: Bullet Club ABC
Ace and Bay are an insanely talented team full of speed and aggression, and honestly they are one of the hottest teams around and are always a joy to watch.

4: FTR
FTR have always been dominant champions where ever they have gone, and they continue this today.

3: The Acclaimed
Entertaining, fun, funny, strong and athletic the acclaimed have it all, so SCISSOR ME DADDY ASS!!!

2: House Of Black
A brickhouse, a follower, a wraith and a leader of darkness make up the highly mysterious, interesting and dangerous team of the House Of Black and the house always wins.

1: The Judgment Day
I love this team, it's all of my fave wrestlers in one group and the dark edge to them is always fascinating to see play out also the fact they hold a lot of the wwe gold is something special.

That's my list, other wrestling lists are on the way, and you can find lots more on my blog.
Thanks for reading and visiting, stay shiny!

Wrestling Promo CHAT GPT!

*In a dimly lit wrestling ring, a lone figure stands in the center, staring down the camera with a fierce intensity.*

"You know who I am. You know what I've accomplished. But still, employers refuse to hire me. They see my resume, my experience, my passion, and yet they turn me away.

"Well, let me tell you something, employers. You may think you're making a smart business decision by not hiring me, but you're wrong. You're missing out on the opportunity of a lifetime.

"You see, I'm not just any ordinary job seeker. I'm a fighter. I've faced challenges in the ring that would make your head spin. I've stared down opponents twice my size and come out on top. And if you give me a chance, I'll bring that same tenacity, that same drive, to your company.

So go ahead, keep overlooking me. Keep passing me by. But when you're struggling to keep up with the competition, when you're falling behind in the market, don't say I didn't warn you. Because I'll be out there, in the ring, doing what I do best. And you'll be left wondering what could have been if you'd only given me a chance. Employers, listen up. It's time to step up your game. It's time to recognize the potential that's right in front of you. Because if you don't, I'll be the one standing in the ring, victorious once again."

*The wrestler throws down the microphone, raising his fists in defiance as the camera fades to black.*

Top 10 Fozzy Songs

Fozzy the metal band headed by Chris Jericho started off as an Ozzy Osborne covers band BUT quickly went into making their own music, and it rocked, THEY ROCK!

As of September 2022, the band has released eight studio albums and one live album. Their first two albums consist of primarily cover songs with some original material, while their albums since have made original material the primary focus.
10: Do You Wanna Start A War?
Starting off strong with this catchy belter. Fall in line and obey if you want to start a war, you better do it right now!

9: Sandpaper
Jericho teams with M.Shadows on this belter. Jericho once said: "It's not about a piece of paper that you rub on your face that chafes you, it's just about an abrasive type of feeling that you might have toward somebody. So it's just stuff like that. But we still sing it with a smile on our faces."

8: Sane
The video for this was filmed on the world's longest wooden Rollercoaster. "Sane," with its ebb and flow of hushed anxiety and expressive, relief-struck chorus, is an ode to those who live their lives a bit crazier than the average person. "In times like these, I don't wanna be sane," sing Jericho over the refrain.

7: I Still Burn
Jericho said: I Still Burn is the story of the dreams, the passion and the fire that lies within all of us to be the absolute best we can be…and to do WHATEVER it takes to achieve the goals that make our dreams come true! The sacrifices, the losses, and the triumphs that we have all experienced make up the lyrical DNA of this song. I Still Burn is Fozzy’s mission statement, our life’s work and our destiny…and we are so proud to share this message of victory with our Fozzy family!! Plus, Rich’s guitar solo fuckin rules!!!”

6: Nowhere To Run
This track is a strong statement right out of the gate, filled with aggressive gritty guitars to open the song before giving way to more dreamily melodic verses and a defiant, anthemic chorus.

5: Painless
Jericho said: It’s based around a bad relationship and somebody’s just numbing you to the pain, almost like if you get bit by a black widow, and it numbs you as it kills you,” the vocalist raves. “I just love that, like every breath I take is one closer to death when I’m with you.”

4: Martyr No More
Chris Jericho says that he wrote the lyrics about someone who can do anything except for put up with their significant other any longer, something everyone can relate too.

3: Enemy
“Enemy” is about anybody that has those problems that they want to hurt themselves or someone else. A Fozzy Classic! I first heard this during a TNA PPV back in like 2007 I think.

2: Burn Me Out
An absolute banger in my opinion.

1: Judas
Here's the world famous AEW Fozzy SPecial! Sing it loud and proud for Le Champion!

And that is my list!

Top 10 Wrestlers Themes Songs You Don't Want To Hear

It's the spooky season and I felt like giving you a spooky silly treat today with my top 10 wrestlers theme songs you don't want to hear while you are in the ring.
So imagine the scenario, here you are inside a wrestling ring awaiting your mysterious opponent to show up and then one of the following songs play. You are in for an ass kicking!

10: Chyna
She's the 9th Wonder Of The World, she put the men and women in their places and happily beat up any man or woman who stood in her way. R.I.P. Chyna we miss you.

9: Aleister Black (NXT theme)
Although Malakai Black is more scary to look at, just imagine how unnerving it must be to see this heavily tatted man rise up like a vampire or something out of the living dead with this heavy metal track playing him to the ring! He's a total badass, and he will kick your head off and then raise your body back up by his mere feet and then kick your head off your shoulders again.

8: Awesome Kong
A force to not be messed with. She is one tough lady and would kick anyone's ass in a heartbeat!

7: Samoa Joe (2007 TNA Theme)
Samoa Joe is an absolute killer! Especially in his TNA run. People worldwide chant "Joe's Gonna Kill You!" for good reasons.

6: Brock Lesnar
Of course anytime this hits you got to be shitting yourself if you are going up against The Beast Incarnate! He's a stone-cold brawler, a killer warrior. He will fuck you up and make you wish you had never even imagined getting into the ring. Enjoy your trip to Suplex city bitch!

5: Abyss (2007 TNA theme)
The Monster Abyss is a whole lotta bad and a whole lotta monster. Unpredictable and powerful and more hardcore and crazier than anyone else here on this list. The Monster Abyss brings destruction everywhere he goes.

4: "The Demon" Finn Balor
Finn Balor is tough without his alter ego but when he snaps and unleashes The Demon well no one is safe.

3: The Fiend
Unpredictable, unnerving, strange, powerful and scary these are the words to describe the monster that is The Fiend. Just when you think Bray Wyatt could not get any more crazy and scary, you get him turned up into 11!

2: Kane (1997-1999)
Bah gawd, that's gotta be, THAT'S GOTTA BE KANE! The Big Red Machine era to be precise was the most monstrous he was.

1: The Undertaker
Of course this legend has to be number 1. He can appear anywhere anytime just listen and beware of the gong!

This has been a fun list, I hope you liked it.
Any suggestions please hit me up! :)

WWE CLASH AT THE CASTLE - THE WRITE UP!

After 30 years WWE came back to host a massive premium live event (ppv) in the UK, and they went to my backyard of Cardiff, Wales. Of course, I was in attendance, and it was an absolute electrifying experience! The fans were amazing, I ain't ever heard 62 thousand people sing Edge's theme song before and I probably never will again, amazing! I attended this event with one of my childhood best friends Lewis Griff and we both had a blast!
Amazing mural by Mad Dog Brewery!
This was the view from my seats.
Me & LG chilling prior to the pre-show! :D

A solid 8/10 PPV. Solid matches and my highlight matches were Riddle Vs Rollins, Sheamus Vs Gunther & Drew v Roman. Saying that, I pretty much loved all the matches, well besides Liv vs Shayna.
There were lots of events and advertising down Cardiff for Clash At The Castle PPV. I toured Cardiff Castle and seen Bianca and Sheamus filming with Cardiff Blue's. There was a pop-up clash shop which had so much exclusive merch for the ppv, and it was just a beautiful sight and there were various meet and greets and appearances in and around Cardiff for the PPV that week. I held the replica WWE Universal title in The Entertainer and omg I need me a replica title, they are so cool!
ACKNOWLEDGE ME!

So yes, it was an incredible experience and atmosphere and show to be a part of, and I pray for another clash at the castle in Cardiff!

Random Ramblin's 49 - It's Been A While

So here I am early hours of the morning on the 1st of August 2022, wide awake, listening to music. The usual (I guess). I am here trying to figure out how to write this. I been going between two minds for a while about writing another Random Ramblin's (which is a series of blog posts I do here on my blog which operate sorta like diary entries and place I go to share news and my mind and rant about.)

There's so much that has happened since my last entry, honestly. It's been a hell of a life, is what I have been saying as I have gone through a lot mentally and even physically these past few months to well, almost a year actually.

When was the last time I did a RR? *goes to look up last entry* Ah yes.....September 2021 and it's now.....August 2022. Wow! Time sure does fly! Anyway *Thinks to himself "what the hell do I write about? why am I doing this? why am I talking in my head and also writing this down?" SIGHS*

Well without further ado, THIS....IS.......
RANDOM RAMBLIN'S!!!!
Alright, alright, alright. First off,
HOW ARE YOU?!
I hope you are well!

LIFE
How am I? Oh well thanks for asking, at the moment I am tired and in a lot of back pain from my new job. Oh yes! I have a new job well this is another another new job. Yes I quit my previous employer the cinema back in April. Also back in April my GF broke up with me but to be honest it looks like she left me for someone else, BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUT I digress and this is just from MY VIEW after all and with all due respect, I won't say anything more on this matter. I do miss that Cinema job I'd be lying if I said otherwise.

ANYWAY I quit my Cwtchy cinema job to go work in a care home and It was great BUT I have/had a lot of unsolved trauma and I had so many memories pour back into me with dealing with Dementia residents because of my Nan who I sadly lost 2 years ago. The care home job was not for me at this time being sadly. In the months of May - July, I did not sign on to the Dole as it were and rather I was applying for work and having 2 interviews a week and eventually I landed the job I am in now and you know what, It's hard work right BUT I am liking it. What's my new role? Well I work as a Bartender in a restaurant and it's not as easy as it sounds or looks chief but hey I am enjoying it on most days.

The past 5 months or so have definitely been a rebuild period for myself. Mentally and physically. It's tough and goes to show a lot of shit catches up to you and ruins you. I'm still on the mend from a lot of mental and physical issues but by taking the right steps daily and recognising when you need help and treatment is important and getting it is even more important and significant. I need to correct my posture and weight more really. I'm a work in progress and I always will be. Destroying bad habits and old habits takes time and a lot of energy and effort and consciousness (let's be fair) to make it all work and run smoothly. So just be aware of what's going on with yourself in your mind and body and try and sort any issues to save yourself in the future. Cheers for reading this bit of ramblin hehe. 😊👍

Unrelated but I have been watching a lot of Bill Burr stand up and Paul Smith stand up.
Both fantastic comedians and I recommend giving them a nose.

Wrestling
What a mad few months it has been for the wrestling world. Vince is gone from WWE and HHH is in charge due to the allegations against Vince making him retire from his duties with WWE.
In September WWE has their biggest PPV taking place in Cardiff, Wales and OF COURSE I AM GOING!!!!!

Film & Tv
Shocking and sad news with TV and Film land as Warner Bros have cancelled many films and TV shows including the Scoob sequel and the Batgirl film.
Dragonball Super: Superhero has released and it's incredible and so awesome!

Cw has called time on The Flash with season 9 being the last season and its also the shortest season as its been issued for only 13 episodes.

Gaming
Fortnite X Dragonball Super collab is probably Fort's best collab ever made, it is hella fun!

Music & Gigs
Machine Head, Slipknot and Five Finger Death Punch all got new album is out soon. (as of writing they are due to be released end of August and into September)
I am also seeing Machine Head and Amon Amarth in September!
Also seeing Corey Taylor in October!
Might see Three Days Grace in September but unsure yet it as it depends on my schedule and income.

Anyway that's all I got time for this week Basil haha.
Check me out on youtube & tiktok if you are bored or in need of a laugh.
If you need someone to talk to please give me a message anytime too!
Be well and be safe people!

I am also on Letterboxd so if you want to see my ratings or some reviews for films, join me there!

Thanks for reading and visiting my blog today.

Top 10 AEW Entrance Theme Songs

Hey, what's up?
It's been a while since I did a top 10 so why not return and return to the blog with a top 10 all new and fresh out of my mind and today's digestive topic is AEW Wrestling Entrance themes.

So I'm going to be listing my top 10 faves. I hope you like this list and the songs on them and if you have any other suggestions please comment or tag me on twitter @1stmetalgod.

10: Arrival - Sting
New to the brand but a legend in the ring Sting shocked the world a few months back by appearing in AEW. Of course with Sting here we can't help but to always shout at the arrival of the immortal one with a loud "WOO!" and say "IT'S STIIIIIIIIIIINGG!!!!!!!".

9: Everybody Dies - Lance Archer
So destructive and unstable just like the murderhawk, i really like his theme.

8: Join Us - Dark Order
Cult like and dark and intimidating as are the team of the Dark Order but also the theme is very badass heavy and catchy now JOIN US.

7: Juicy - Orange Cassidy
Far out man it's the laid back freshly squeezed one himself. I love Orange he is so funny but also he is such a great talent.

6: Battle Cry - Kenny Omega
Video game themed suiting Kenny's likes and ofcourse when it kicks in with that demonic voice and speedy instrumentals it's so good and really makes him stand out.

5: Kingdom - Cody Rhodes
Cody's theme is iconic with AEW and himself and it's so catchy, fits him and its a great bop.

4: Tarzan Boy - Jungle Boy
Tony Khan the mad legend himself surprised us and Jungle Boy with this hell of a Christmas present a 80s classic and one which is so fun it represents Jungle Boy to a tee for so many obvious reasons, belter of a song and a hell of a competitor is Jungle Boy.

3: I Fell - Darby Allin
Slow, unsteady, calm but collected and very impactful, Darby is such an enigma he's grown to become one of my favourite wrestlers since AEW has come about.

2: Unscripted Violence - Jon Moxley
Plug in and play but beware for here comes the MOX, talk about making yourself known with such a badass unrelating song to walk out to, perfect edgy fit for the maniac Jon is.

1: Judas - Chris Jericho
You can't help but to sing along and love this one. It's such a great song and so fitting for Jericho and this is my number one fave pick for my list.

(all aew names, songs, logos belong to their respective copyright holders!)

Thanks for reading, that's my list, come back again for more blogs and top 10s and all other assorted bits and bobs to make you laugh and make you think.

The Rock Vs AJ Styles "THE GREAT ONE VS THE PHENOMENAL ONE!" Dream Match

A good big mania dream match could be The Great One Vs The Phenomenal One and the marketing has me excited and this is how i would book it.

Build it up with war of words say like Rock makes an appearance on smackdown a month before wrestlemania to announce something but before he has a chance to say of his announcement.

Speculation arises online of The Rock retiring from in ring competition following an on set film injury and that he is rumoured to announce retirement ahead of being inducted into the hall of fame.

The Rock: "So the great one is out here and here tonight to announce something which has been going round in the news and it might be on your minds right now and so i and the wwe family have come to terms on that, that, The Rock will....."

Aj Styles music hits and he comes out with a mic in hand and he talks walking down the ramp to the ring.

Aj: "The Rock will be leaving my ring right now, i know, we all know Rock, because THIS IS THE HOUSE THAT A-JAY STYLES BUILT!"

Rock: "The Rock did not invite you out here short round so do us all a favour and wipe your feet and leave my yard"

Aj: "Whoa now Rocky what are you doing here on smackdown? don't you know this is the house that AJ STYLES BUILT!?"

Rock be all like "Oh The Rock knows who's house this is and the rock will tell you personally one on one with the great one that this is my hotel i run and layeth the smackdown way before you made a name for youself"

Aj be like "I made a name for myself when you were off kissing babies and shaking hands trying to make it in hollywood, i've had more 5 star ratings than your whole hollywood career and while you were away those who came before me demolished your hotel and i came and i built the foundations to become the house you stand in today so show me some respect oh great one"

Rock be like "Kid the rock wont lie you are good and they call you the phenomenal one the rock wants to know if you are what they say you are, the rock wants to see what you got" aj be like "I am phenomenal and i aint no kid, my name is A-JAY.."

Rock interrupts: "IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT YOUR NAME IS! I will smack the disrespect out of your mouth and i will lay the smackdown on your candy ass!"

Aj furious now walking back and fore "You wanna go, come on lets go right here come on!!!"

Rock: "You want to go one on one? You really want to go one on one with the great one? Alright the fans seems to love this idea BUT the rock aint so sure you got what it takes to take me on kid"

Aj: "What's wrong Rock? scared i'll ruin your hollywood face, huh? scared of my forearm breaking that face of yours? You scared huh rock? You chicken? Where's the great one you mention a lot of huh? where is he? or is he now a she because you left your balls in hollywood eh Rock?"

Aj gets real heat, boos abrupt.

Rock raises his eyebrow gets in aj's face. "The Great One is right here you soccer mom haircut looking son of a bitch"

Aj hits rock, rock bottom to aj and the rock points at the mania sign and says

"Great One Vs Phenomenal One, see you at mania bitch" .

Build up promos next few weeks.

Top 10 Wrestlemania Entrances!

It's that time of the year WRESTLEMANIA BAYBEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! Although Mania has been and gone let's reflect upon some of the best entrances. Let's list up all the best entrances i have seen up to now from the grandest stage of them all!

RULES: 1 ENTRANCE PER MANIA AND 1 ENTRANCE PER WRESTLER! So this will be tough as HHH has so many great entrances and some others but here we go.

10: Shawn Michaels - WM 12
This was so unique and cool HBK jut descending from atop the arena it's one that stands out among the legendary entrances we have seen over the 35 years of mania.

9: Bray Wyatt - WM 30
Who do you voodoo when Bray Wyatt enters the arena with weird creepy voodo dancing followed by a band of plague doctors playing his theme song. Certainly unique and a fave of mine for the creepy character.

8: Shinsuke Nakamura - WM 34
A most glorious entrance here which is metal as fuck with Nita Strauss performing aswell as a butt load of violinists to play out The King Of Strong Style himself as the crowd also chants along with the song simply epic.

7: The New Day -  WM 32
Supersized booty-o's containing saiyan armoured new day? Well it's on this list it's pretty darn sweet to see DBZ and WWE together and i love it, it's something else.

6: The Undertaker - WM 19
Keep the list on rollin baybeeeeee with American Badass himself being played out by Bizkit.

5: Stone Cold Steve Austin - WM 13
It's Austin's turn to enter the list, the words "Austin 3:16" appeared on the screen before smashing in sync with his legendary entrance theme. What happened next was arguably the greatest match in WWE history, granting his swagger even more significance.

4: Rusev - WM 31
He came out on a tank played by the national anthem of russia so you know it's a good one!

3: CM Punk - WM29
The final WrestleMania appearance for CM Punk, who would be gone from the company by the time the PPV's next installment rolled into town, and what a way to go out as he took on The Undertaker. Arguably the WWE's standout performer in the two years heading into WrestleMania 29. Living Colour, blasted its most notable song, "Cult of Personality," to the live crowd in New Jersey as it showed appreciation for Punk's suitable entrance music.

2: Hardy Boyz - WM 33
All was normal in this mania until New Day came and said there's going to be another team in the tag match and it was all so suspenseful until the Hardy's music hit and the place and myself errupted in sheer joy to see an old fave tag team back in the WWE on the grandest stage of them all.

1: Triple H - WM 21
Metal and epic as fuck HHH has the best entrances no doubt about it on the grandest stage of them all he is the grandest of them all and this time MotorHead played him out was epic. Emerging in the middle of the band whilst they played HHH rose up, spat some water out and went to work.

And that's my list, did any of your faves make the cut? If not comment and let me know your faves.
Til next time, stay shiny!

My Top 10 Wrestling Entrance Themes (I'd use if i was a pro wrestler)

So for a bit of fun being as I love both wrestling and music, what 10 song's would I use as an entrance theme? Ever wondered what you'd walk out to?

I'll attempt to name 10 and try to deliver what i'd do for the entrance and if i'd be a good guy with that theme or a bad guy. It's going to be a short but fun list. I want you to do your own too! So let's have some fun and let's play this game! One song per band/artist too just to make thing's have more variety :D

10: Scum Of The Earth - Rob Zombie.
So i'd be a bad guy with this and just in your face heel but disrespectful to and spit at the floor near people and do a bit of headbanging when i get in the ring. You want an autograph sure i'll sign a picture for ohh no I've torn it up what a shame you lose kid. "Hey, I'm breathing, Hey, I'm bleeding, Hey, I'm screaming, Scum of the earth, COME ON!"

9: Up Around The Bend - CCR.
Face i'd be a fun time guy, dancing singing interacting with audience dancing with them, moving to the groovin around the bend you know. "Come on the risin' wind, We're goin' up around the bend"

8: Walk - Pantera.
I'd be a tweener i could use this as both heel and face just a simple badass stroll to the ring. You can't be something you're not, Be yourself by yourself, Stay away from me, A lesson learned in life, Known from the dawn of time".

7: I Will Be Heard - Hatebreed.
Heel disrespectful in your face aggression entrance. "NOW IS THE TIME, FOR ME TO RISE TO MY FEET!"

6: Square Hammer - Ghost.
Darkness with lights flashing green as the music kicks in i arrive onto the stage corpse face painted and in long black flowing robes, walking holding an urn to the ring and which when i take a lid off it projects a demon in the middle of the ring as i take off my robe and then i put the urn lid back on and all lights are on as normal and i am ready to go. "Still you call on me for entrance to the shrine
Hammering the nails, Into a sacred coffin, You call on me for powers clandestine".

5: Personal Jesus - Depeche Mode
A pastor like character who is a heel he believes he is holier than thou. "Reach out and touch faith!"

4: It's My Life - Bon Jovi.
Entrance similar to Jericho's but with led jacket saying its my life scrolled across the back and on my shades. Face entrance happy party have fun. "Luck ain't enough, You've got to make your own breaks, It's my life, And it's now or never".

3: Boom Boom Boom Boom - Vengaboys
Proper face happy dance time to get a great fun atmosphere going with the crowd with a classic slice of cheesy partying tune.

2: Indestructible - Disturbed.
Sirens blare the lights blaze flashing blue as a spot light goes all around the arena and then it kicks in as i exit through the curtain with a hood over my head. Slowly looking round making my way to the ring. A bit of a tweener this one too. When i get to the ring ropes i pull of my hood revealing my face and get in the ring flexing when it says "indestructible master of war".

1: Wherever I May Roam - Metallica.
Start in darkness with smoke covering and soon as we hit the drums the lights flicker to the beat and we get to the 50 second mark of the song and out i come beating my chest to the beat. I'd encourage others to join in and be a face with this song, singing this song as i walk to the ring and around the ring as the lyrics echo "call me what you will" i will be in the ring and the lights will all light up and the smoke will stop.

So that's my list and i'm sticking to it, for now at least, this has been fun, love to hear yours :D

Stay shiny!

The Scotties Awards 2018!

Hello ladies, gentleman, binary and non. Welcome to the first ever and maybe annual awards I am now issuing on my blog. The Scotties are just imaginary awards I will give out to the best things I have read, listened to, seen, played etc of the past year.

What a year, so many up's and downs in all media's so without further ado;
Let The Scotties Awards begin!
(All winners will receive this image which will be available to download after the show/post of course. :P )

Scotties Spotify Top Song Of The Year:
So I love music but who doesn't and this year we have been presented with so many tunes and Spotify has kindly helped me in piecing together 3 contenders for my top song of the year and this could mean one of these 3 songs I have listened to the most this year. The nominations are: The Guess Who - Laughing, Jaroslav Beck - $100 Bills and Hugh Jackman & Zac Efron - The Other Side. And the winner is...........THE OTHER SIDE BY HUGH JACKMAN AND ZAC EFRON APART OF THE GREATEST SHOWMAN SOUNDTRACK! A huge surprise hit of the year both film and music wise as it took the nation and our cinemas by storm a well deserved winner.
Scotties New Fave Band Of The Year: So many bands old and new have come into my life this year and well as hard as it is to pick a winner out of so many this award goes to the band I have listened to most and this goes to the mighty SABATON!
Scotties Most Listened To Album Of The Year: Many choices here but the one which sticks out the most that I have listened to is my boys of 21 Pilots with their newest album TRENCH!
Scotties Meme Of The Year: Another year has passed and so has so many memorable, funny and cringey memes but one stuck out the most to me and made the most impact this year and that is.....UGANDAN KNUCKLES!
Scotties Game Of The Year: Oh this is the big one here with so many contenders this year I will admit I only play PS4 but don't worry I will also have a PS4 exclusive category next up. Right with so many heavy hitting games this year it's a tough choice however the winner is.......RED DEAD REDEMPTION 2!
Scotties PS4 Game Of The Year: So many heavy hitting contenders here and of course no doubts here that PS4 had the best year in gaming and has the best exclusives but up for this exciting award are the following amazing games: Detroit Become Human, God Of War and Spiderman. These games are all winners let me say that first of all but out of them my fave exclusive this year was.......SPIDER-MAN!
Scotties Multiplayer Game Of The Year: Not going to lie but this choice was incredibly easy to make granted that i have spent almost 400 hours on the game this year with my bessie mates Jared and James and the winner of course is........FORTNITE!
Scotties TV Show Of The Year: I admit I don't watch many tv shows anymore but this award goes to.....THE FLASH!
Scotties Actor Of The Year: So many amazing actors but one actor I have seen the most this year and has delivered on every performance and there's one that stands out the most and this award goes to the wearer of the Infinity Gauntlet himself......JOSH BROLIN!
Scotties Actress Of The Year: Just like the best actor category this year we have seen amazing talented actresses and again for me the one who stood out most is.......TESSA THOMPSON!
Scotties Film Of The Year: So many amazing films this year such as Game Night, A Quiet Place, Upgrade, The Shape Of Water, Bohemian Rhapsody, Searching, Bumblebee, Into the Spiderverse, Infinity War and Deadpool 2 to name but a few of the best we have had this year and so with all of these in mind my overall winner should come to no surprise because of how much love and praise I gave it earlier this year and it was not me either that gave this film a lot of praise, critics and academies alike gave it many awards and without further babbling from me the winner is......THE SHAPE OF WATER!

Now as the awards draw to a close, It's time to do some quick fire awards!
Scotties Comic Story Of The Year: Boom Studios! Power Rangers: Shattered Grid!
Scotties Graphic Novel Story Of The Year: Boom Studios! Power Rangers: Soul Of The Dragon!

And finally I'd like to give a special life time thanks award to Stan Lee. The legend that he was passed on this year and it was sad but the man has left behind a huge legacy we are all so thankful for and we love him and we miss him dearly, thanks Stan The Man.
And that about does it here at The Scotties Awards 2018!
It's been fun and a hell of a year now onwards and upward for the future is coming on, is coming on, is coming on, is coming on......
