CREED 3 - AN OSCAR BOXER!

Michael B Jordan take a bow and I will put you forward to win some Oscars because this film DESERVES IT!
Creed 3 is the 9th? Film in the Rocky series but the 3rd instalment in the Creed series. After the events of Creed 2 we are 3 years down the line and Creed has hung up his boots after his wins and injuries to retire happily and spend his life with his family and his daughter. However, 18 years have passed, and an old familiar face has shown up into Adonis's life once again as we enter Jonathan Majors character "Diamond" Damian Anderson. All seems well and good but Dame goes for Creed's throat because Dame wants what he feels he is owed as he was sent to jail and Adonis left him behind. So now Dame forces Creed out of retirement for an epic showdown. Who will win?

First off, the cast was incredible! Soundtrack was great! FIGHT SCENES WERE EPIC ESPECIALLY THE LAST FIGHT!!!!

Michael B. Jordan more than delivered here in his directorial debut! I am excited for what he directs next! The relationship with Dame and Adonis will have people again on the fences as to who to root for as the lines get blurred with all the gripping drama. The family relationship with Creed was sweet and his daughter is so sweet, and she was a brilliant actor, I'm sorry to forget her name, but I am running on adrenaline after this film.

The final fight gave me chills! I heard Michael talk about putting in some knods of dragonball and my hero academia among other animes in this to show homage and what inspires him and OH YES I CAUGHT THOSE REFERENCES STRAIGHT AWAY IN THE FIGHTING!

This is the first film without Rocky in, and it was a shame I felt BUT maybe they will bring him back again in future, and we get a story out of it that keeps Creed going strong! With Rocky missing I was worried that this film would be lacking something, but it wasn't, and it showed Creed and Jordan can stand on their own. The theme of the film was basically about letting go of the past, and it did that and stood tall where other films would have faltered.

I do wish this film was longer, so we could have got more tense build up to Majors V Jordan showdown and I wish the fight was longer BUT I loved this!

I'd say this film deserves an Oscar and Michael deserves some for directing and his performance in this too. Overall a superb film that shows a lot of power on and off camera from Michael B Jordan, with a fabulous supporting cast and a gripping story.

Top 10 Boxing Movies!

We're gonna fly now! Because we have raging bull's, steel fighters, hurricanes and four sided rings with big leather fists a flying around it.
What follows is a list based off my opinion of my favourite boxing movies in a top 10 format and this list is not definitive as it may be changed and updated later down the line.

10) Raging Bull - First of all let' have a moment of silence for the recently passed Jake LaMotte the boxer who's life story is based on the film raging bull....This film is really good it's one of DeNiro's best films and one of the best boxing films. This boxing drama is a fascinating character study centred on an aggressive, insecure man overcome by intense jealousy and paranoia. While shooting "The Godfather Part II", Robert DeNiro found himself reading the book "Raging Bull: My Story", based on the life of 1950's middleweight boxer Jake LaMotta. It was a story he felt very passionate about bringing to the screen.

9) Ali - Ali had a truly remarkable life and he was an out of this world character who wreaked of charisma and this film is soaked full of charisma and entertainment from the quick witted and well acted Will Smith. I enjoyed this film.

8) The Fighter - What happens when you watch a boxing film with two of your fave actors in the lead role? You enjoy it! The film works best in the moments that feel very real and often have a great, realistic sense of humour. Only the last act follows the traditional sports drama path a bit too predictably. Overall the result is still highly entertaining and engaging, mostly thanks to the good writing and the stellar performances.

7) The Hurricane - I had heard the song of "Here's the story of Hurricane, The man the authorities came to blame, For somethin’ that he never done, Put in a prison cell, but one time he could-a been, The champion of the world!" i know and love this Bob Dylan song before i heard or seen the film so when i did see the film i was entertained and gripped. There's no denying it's powerful stuff, which, for want of a better phrase, really packs a punch which is carried so well by Denzil.

6) Southpaw - A powerful different kind of boxing film which starts out really tough to watch it's devastating but the last half was a bit rushed however i still really enjoyed this film and Jake's performance is top notch.

5) Real Steel - Now i love this film and have seen it a handful of times and the last fight always gets me pumped up and it's a shame the result of the last fight did not go the way i wanted it to but still i'd love to see more Real Steel. All actors and cgi and robots were amazing.

4) Creed - The most recent entry to the list but one thing you can not fault about the Rocky film series is that the fights are always nail biting, even if some of the results will feel like bs but Creed was great.

3) Rocky - Meet the man who refuses to duck and dodge in his first outing on the big screen. As a kid anything before the fight use to send me to sleep ahaha but overall it's a underdog story done well and went on to be a huge success and the behind the scenes story is as interesting as the films story.

2) Rocky 3 - Hulk Hogan and Mr.T and Rocky in the same film together?! Waaaaat? Yes this is a fun film i thought i have not seen this in years mind you so i may or may not think differently but right now from my memory i liked this one for the crazy bad guys Rocky faced who are also familar faces and the fights were good too.

1) Rocky 4 - Admittedly this was the first Rocky film i seen and it was on Tv and prior to the film i had heard a lot of "THE BEST FILM EVER!" "MUST SEE" this and that and well god damn it lived up to that hype. Ivan was a proper bastard and to see him kill Apollo even the first time when i did not see the other Rocky's it had me like "Jesus christ this is nuts, what a dickhead Ivan is!" and the fight was really fucking good between Rocky and Ivan and it had me on the edge of my seat just shouting at my tv like it was happening live "GO ON ROCKY KICK HIS ASS!" "FUCK HIM UP ROCKY FUCK HIM UP!" etc yeah i was so into the fight and it was not just the boxing it was the drama and how gripping the film was and i have to add THE MUSIC. The music within the rocky films as a whole are amazing some really great iconic tracks there.

That about wraps my list up for you this time, what do you think?

Let me know your list and any suggestions by commenting or messaging me anytime :)

Thanks for reading, see you soon, stay shiny!

Top 10 Pump Up Songs!

YO!

You good?

Good.

So are you looking for music to work out to in the Gym or music to use for your entrance at a wrestling or mma or boxing event?

Well here you will see i have compiled a list of songs i find useful in some way shape or form for gym or other uses.

Now i know i am no fine specimen like the man you see pictured below.
I also know the only main source of weight lifting i do is lifting calories into my mouth like below.
But i do still imagine after a good sesh i am a lot like this pic below.

Jokes aside, I hope you enjoy this list!

1 song per band here!

I got 10 here that pump me up and make me feel invincible and i hope they make you feel the same!

10: Shipping up to Boston - Dropkick Murphy's -  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x-64CaD8GXw&index=16&list=PL257F0AF8BAD324B5

I aint irish but i sure as hell would be line dancing over someone i just beat while hearing this.
This song i believe talks about a free man (as a sailor is) who always takes risks and tries to achieve the impossible (climbing up the topsails) but finally, he may have to deal with the problems arising from the risks he took (I've lost my leg)

now, probably Boston is something like a place that he will make a new beginning and find his salvation (his wooden leg)  So, the basic idea appears to be the story of a great risk taker, who finally, as it happens with every one who is taking too many risks, had a hard fall from the top sails and he is now looking for a new beginning. As you see it is a great motivational one.

9: Sangre for sangre - HELLYEAH -  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=keZ-GsRRVlQ
The anthem all about the old saying eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth, blood for blood. Killer tune can get you real pumped for that punchbag.

Right from the opening i get so pumped up. For a chilling down time have Walk on and get on a tredmill and just walk and gradually get faster. Self belief and a new attitude and confidence on life that is what this song is representing. There are so many Pantera songs i wanted to pick that pump me up but this is the ultimate one. Show RESPECT for everyone in the gym aswell the amount of times i have been to the gym and been annoyed by dickhead steroid abusers is unfathomable and so is the amount of judgmental looks.

7: Face the pain - Stemm -  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IwdpbIW_ckY
It hits you outta nowhere with a left hook and you're down and out! This song wakes me up in the mornings it is my phone alarm clocks tone. You wanna wake the fuck up and jump out of bed like Brock Lesner jumps into a ring? GET THIS TUNE AS YOUR ALARM SONG!

6: Undead - Hollywood Undead -  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CCVvq4g4Qj0
Now, so far my list has been metal and now we are getting to the rap side yeah sure it has metal element in it's instrumental aswell but it all adds to its pump up sound. If you want to stroll around or do some circuits this is a good one i find to listen to while doing it.

5: Kill em all - KING810 -  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yJDAgMVzNto
Oh my god, this song! If you want to go into beast mode listen to this it is fucking killer a great punchbag anthem for the gyms hell it works when lifting weights aswell just go along with the tempo of the song when it slows you slow when it gets heavy and faster go faster.

4: Burn in my light - Mercy drive - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V3_YSLYfE5E
The former song of the legend killer, the viper Randy Orton makes me ooze with confidence when my headphones are on, i stroll into the gym acting like a god. It's a pump up song for that confidence boosting it gives off for me anyway. You can use this song in the gym for a slow workout on your legs via the cycle machines or the rowing machines. The rowing machines more so is good, try timing your pulls on the "HEY!" for added effect and feel free to rest and have a breather during the solo.

3: Is she with you - Wonder woman theme - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z_h1i73l4dc
Holy shit is this suck a fucking song! Get's you right in there like a badass you truly are. This is a song to break a sweat to and push yourself a bit harder at the gym. Tense up and unleash your fury! Don't be afraid of what task lies ahead and i swear if you just finished leg day and you do not find yourself able to walk, stick this song on and fly!

2: Hooked on a feeling - Blue Swede - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NrI-UBIB8Jk
Oga chuka! Now this one is not a traditional heavy hitting song of motivation but it sure as hell gets me moving and smiling. Yeah this one fills me with total confidence similar to the burn in my light song but it makes me happy and just pumped in a totally cool way you feel me? For a nice easy workout stick it on,relax take it easy this one song and smile just cool down and feel the rhythm, don't be afraid to sing in the gym with this on because i guarantee others will join in. If you are into the dance type of exercise this is a perfect groove song good for zumba, get those hips moving.

1: Across the nation - Union Underground - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KHYUdZOJ5jw
Move to the music! Push it now, move to the music, hard hitting, fast paced, i can tell you now this one will turn the Justin Bieber's out there into Arnold Schwarzenegger's. Hard to pick a number one but i finally decided on this.

Fear not i have a lot of songs that pump me up out there and if you did not see any in this list well i forgot about that song or something else went on in my mind while making this list.

Did any of these get you pumped up?

What are your 10?

Let me know.

For now, fight hard,train well.

Teh gawd is oot.
