Grey Skies (Original song/lyrics/poem)

The Grey skies are here,
My eyes have clouded over, from the grief,
I can't see the light,
Awaaaaay from the light of day,
Grey Skies, they haunt me, (they haunt me)
Grey skies, got a hold of me, (they got a hold of me)

Stay with me and hold my hand,
In the walk through never ever land,
I've been Peter, Always looking for my Wendy,
That mean ol Captain went and took her away from me,
It all happened so fast, in the blink of the eye of the tik tokin crocodile,

The grey skies are here, Peter can't you see,
My eyes have, clouded over and he's there tormenting,
A mean voice in the back of my head,
I shy from the bright of day,
Laying awake in bed at night, my shadow keeping me....awake,
Grey skies, wendy haunts me,  (she haunts me)
Grey skies, have their hold on me, (have their hold on me)

Tink, tink, tinkering with the bell,
A voice appears, grimacing a glee,
He insists it's Schmee,
I lost my friends the only boys i see,
When they all lost their faith.... in me, ( in me)

The grey skies are here,
They suffocate me drowning out the...liiiight,
I can't breathe,
The night fills me with fright,
I lost my belief in magic this night,
The grey skies, above me, (they're haunting)
The grey skies, have their hold on me (they have a hold on me)

The Gift Underneath My Christmas Tree - (original song/poem/lyrics)

There's coal on the fire, The house is warming up,
Presents are all around As the snow gently touches the ground,
Choirs are singing jolly ol carols of old,
As mother has the turkey roasting, nice and gold,
I look at pictures of years ago, Tears fill my eyes as I remember those who have came and gone,
My eyes get wide and my jaw drops down as you enter the room all alone,

You light up the room like a Christmas tree,
A warm Novus glow for all to see,
Wonderful sight to behold,
You make me smile, the truth be told,
I'm made to be oh so happy,
Knowing your the gift of Christmas, that standing underneath my tree.

The tv is showing, those same old films, we love dear,
Although your glasses fog up, you can't see your bingo cards clear,
But we all share a laugh along with you, like all the big old families do,
You count to three and then you jump as the crackers pop at tea,

You light up the room like a Christmas tree,
A warm Novus glow for all to see,
Wonderful sight to behold,
You make me smile, the truth be told,
I'm made to be oh so happy,
Knowing your the gift of Christmas, that standing underneath my tree.

You came up here, every year,
Every Christmas without fail,
Sometimes you were alone and times you were not,
But truth be told you were such a hoot and now your gone, my brain just cannot compute,
Stop motion animated man and dog, is what we both loved in common,
But also the wealth of knowledge you have is so inspiring, it makes my brain sing and cheer,

You light up the room like a Christmas tree,
A warm Novus glow for all to see,
Wonderful sight to behold,
You make me smile, the truth be told,
I'm made to be oh so happy,
Knowing your the gift of Christmas, that standing underneath my tree.

instrumental solo*

And now its Christmas time this year, in a year which the world is crumblin down,
I look around and I say a prayer for those we've lost, all before Christmas this year,
My dear wife I shed a tear, for she's been with me all year, despite all the sadness and madness in this world, she still loves me unconditionally,

My family hold me close and let's all sit down, and enjoy this merry feast despite the shit, that's happened this year,

The best gift this Christmas is the memories of all my dears, knowing their free from any pain the world has thrown, and I plant a star upon the tree for each of thee,

So gather round the Christmas tree and let's all share an embrace, for the best gift of Christmas is standing right here, underneath my tree......

Charity Awareness Post 2020!

Hi there,
I would like to raise some awareness and post links to charities which I have donated to and I love their work so here it goes.

Miscarriage Association
There's a word besides Lockdown and Covid 19, I have heard more of this year than any other and that is Miscarriage and there are so many stories of so many going through it and I can tell you now, it's not nice, and it's not easy, and it's got no full recovery from just like any loss you have to go through in life. - https://www.miscarriageassociation.org.uk/about-us/the-charity/

Beluga Sanctuary
I LOVED watching John Bishop help save and relocate the two Beluga Whales on ITV earlier this year, Little Grey and Little White are so beautiful and cute and amazing, and I just want the best for them, and I am still following their story and if you want to help or know more go to the link - https://belugasanctuary.sealifetrust.org/en/

Dementia UK
Dementia is a horrible disease, I donated to them earlier this year when I lost my nan as I felt such a strong urge to donate to many charities actually, it's horrible to lose anyone and to know we have organizations and people out there looking for cures is amazing, but they need our help and donations to continue, so I mention them and link them here for this reason - https://www.dementiauk.org/

Marie Curie
Is a charity whom's services have helped my family a lot in the care and attention of my Dementia stricken Nana and the care of her in her last years of life so of course a massive shoutout and thanks to them and please give them anything you can or just learn more about their amazing work! - https://www.mariecurie.org.uk/

RNLI Lifeboats
Without the RNLI so many lives would be lost at sea every year, these brave volunteers are always on hand to help and save others and I support the Quay West crew and the service as a whole - https://rnli.org/what-we-do/lifeboats-and-stations/our-lifeboat-fleet

Sea Shephard
Are protectors of our oceans from illegal activities and they have done some amazing work - https://www.seashepherd.org.uk/

Raf Museum
I respect and love the RAF and their museum is amazing I shopped at their online shop to support them and I wanted to do this in memory of my late Grandfather who worked for RAF so go support and grab something lovely here - https://www.rafmuseumshop.com/

There are indeed so many great and amazing charities out there but I only chose to list and name those who have meant a lot to me this year so please do check them out, tell them you got referred to from me and let's just be excellent to each other and hope 2021 is a great year.

Random Ramblin's 43 - Reflection Post Halloween 2020

Reflection time!😎

So Halloween 2020 was an unusual one. This year is so abnormal. We in Wales are in lockdown once more but the firebreak national welsh lockdown is nearing it's end, unfortunately Covid is still roaming. Its been hard for sure but there's also some great things that have and are still happening.

I've done an amazing job and I'm proud of myself for my facepaint. Which even Finn himself liked my demon BÑlor paint (1st pic) and the 2nd pic was Cobra Kai halloween inspo with a skeleton they are seen in.😊

OK so I've also got my fave band Sabaton autographs so that is freaking incredible and amazing!!!!πŸ€—πŸ˜πŸ€―πŸ₯³ I managed to learn The Black Parade more on piano and am trying to learn more and practice more.πŸ˜„ I've been back gaming and enjoying it after what felt like ages of having a period of unenjoyment with games but all good and fun again. πŸ™‚ I also had the newest Mha movie on steel book triple play and I been waiting ages for it to arrive and I finally have it!!!☺️

Been a while since I posted here but I felt now was a good time.

I'm healing, I'm grieving and some days are harder than others. Life is hard and has more uncertainties than ever before. Never lose hope always keep ahold of it and try to laugh and have a person who can wrap their arms around you even from far away and help you get back up on your feet when life has you down.

I'm an advocate for hope and I won't ever lose hope, I'll keep a tight hold on it.

Peace with you all, look after your minds, be mindful of all the information you take on and don't overload yourself or over work yourself.

Take it easy people!

✌️ 😊✌️

CFMT Album Review!

After some wait and after a shitty start to the year, we are now into Autumn and as covid is spiking up again in the uk and as I am back in lockdown and unable to see loved ones outside of my household, here I am today to bring you my thought's, opinions and most importantly review of Corey Taylor's solo debut album titled CFMT.
I pre-ordered my copy from Amazon and it was signed by the legendary Cfmt himself so that is so wicked and I received the album a day before it's initial release which is quite something extraordinary to have especially from Amazon these days. As previously written I have already gave my thoughts on CMFT MUST BE STOPPED song, which you can see and learn more of my thoughts and about Corey Taylor in that review, simply click on the bold letters to see that piece.

With 13 song's on this stacked album, let's go through them as I give you my thought's on these songs before giving my final verdict on the album as a whole, do enjoy!

1: HWY 666
This is how you kick off an album, ROCK n ROLL!!!! A country metal track as this track simply informs us to buckle up as we are heading for a hell of a ride!!!!

2: Black Eyes Blue
This is a lovely alternative rock, love song which is also very lovely and catchy and i love. So for the less hardcore you got this to fall back to.

3: Samantha's Gone
Really catchy chorus with a song which has such a great grove to it.

4: Meine Lux
Such a fast paced party tune here I find and oh catchy so catchy.

5: Halfway Down
Quite a flirty song here and very chill, the groove is damn catchy. The guitars are sooo smooth, it's having a cigarette while this is all going on I presume because them licks and solos beeee smokin'.

6: Silverfish
A soft centred slow song with a catchy chorus to boot and it's almost like blues riff's and psychedelic feel is just chill with a kickin' solo.

7: Kansas
I absolutely love this one!!! Just gives me such emotional feels and all in a good way, it's sweet, loving and romantic, i just pine over this one haha.

8: Culture Head
This is a Hell of a tune! It was most recently played and performed on WWE's Nxt brand for PPV Takeover 31 and from there upon my first listen i was like "woah!" and "i need to listen to this again" which i still am like to this song and i play it on repeat a few times a day since this came out! THIS PUNCHES SO HARD!

9: Everybody Dies On My Birthday
I don't quite know what to make of this song, Corey is clearly sending a message and getting his thoughts out there. It's a decent track, perhaps a grower.

10: The Maria Fire
Oh damn this be some bluesy jazzy stuff right here and so yeah i really like this song.

11: Home
A soft touching song here, guaranteed to make you swell up and cry.

12: CMFT MUST BE STOPPED
CFMT must be stopped is loud, in your face and kicks so much ass!, all the while moving and flowing like a coursing river, the music video features an all star line up of cameo's too! I love this song!

13: European Tour Bus Bathroom Song
This is goofy, fast paced and insane! This will have you scratching your head and headbanging and then questioning "what the fuck did I just listen to?" hahaha.

Corey has kicked down the door to the industry years ago and now he's ripped the damn door off for all to see and hear. Corey is not a stranger he's been in this game for three decades now fronting metal giants Slipknot and also fronting the hard rocking Stone Sour, but for a solo outing, this is how you do it! This album, well let me just start and say that it is a lot of fun and you can hear how much fun Corey had in creating this album. It's has a varied range of sound in the instrumentals and a diverse vocal range from Corey that we all know and love very well.

Overall
8/10
