R.I.P. Peter Cullen

"Be Strong, To Be Gentle."

A poetic quote that has also been my way of life. 

Peter Cullen was the voice of many generations being the big, strong, powerful, inspirational, father figure in Optimus Prime. 

He led the way for so many to step forward. Even when Optimus Prime's time was cut short in the Transformers Gen 1 movie the fans got so mad that the studio changed their minds and ended up bringing Optimus Prime back to life. For so many 80s kids, Optimus was their dad or someone so truly cool and inspirational to look up to. 

Optimus was strong but he was always gentle. Well, the Bayverse of films showed he was also brutal when his back was against the wall but that's not the point. 

Peter Cullen is an absolute legend and a man so many have looked up to and no doubt as history ROLLS ON, his voice and actions as Optimus will carry on forever in our hearts and with younger generations discovering his work. 

Peter was also the voice of many other characters like Eeyore and most recently Thadeus from Invincible. Peter also provided those iconic Predator noises or clicks. 

I'm not sure if Peter has recorded anymore lines as Prime or for any other characters before his passing but time will tell there on when we may hear his final performance.

Peter's passing has hit me and so many others are hard. It's been a rough week for me and these big deaths have made it harder. 

Thank You Peter, may you rest now knowing all the good work you have done and all the sparks you have inspired. We love you and we miss you. Til All Are One.

R.I.P. Tim Curry

"Don't dream it, be it.". 

Rest In Peace to the iconic Tim Curry. 😭

What can we say about this ICON? 

He played so many characters both on screen and off screen across all different media's. 

Tim was a sweet Transvestite from Transexual Transelvania, a Wild Thornburry, Emperor of the Tainted Coil, a butler, a great singer and actor, pirate captain long John Silver, a Concierge, a clown, a devil, hexxus, Soviet Premier and so many more characters. 

Even after his deteriorating health condition he was still full of wit and making comic con appearances and signing through the mail for his fans...

Now if you don't mind, I'm going to the one place not corrupt with capitalism.....SPACE!

I guess, I'm the villain,

I'm the one you should hate.

My name on the list

Makes others groan and hiss.

I have an opinion,

And I'm the one in the wrong.

No matter what I say,

It seems I've said it all wrong.

Honesty is not the best policy,

At least that's what they say.

Some people are human washing machines,

They spin my words around

And wash the truth away.

Afraid of being right,

I'm kept out of sight.

Perhaps the dark has twisted my mind.

Maybe all the good I do

Needs to be left behind.

Because my bad moments

Are remembered more than the good.

The mistakes become the story,

Being A Dad - Original Poem by SJones

Being a Dad

Being a dad isn't easy.

I get mad. I get sad.

Changing your bum can test my patience, while you wriggle and twist, cry for Mammy, and somehow find the strength to turn a simple nappy change into an Olympic sport.

I throw myself across the room like a goalkeeper, stopping you from touching the things you shouldn't touch. You don't care. You'll try again anyway. "The switch, Dad. Press it. I like it."

I stop you eating the strangest things. A plastic bag? That Looks delicious.

A door? Mmm that's worth tasting.

A cupboard? Worth slamming.

Again. And again. And again.

You explore the world, with fearless curiosity. I follow behind, trying desperately to keep you alive.

And while you're busy discovering everything, I'm busy questioning everything.

Am I a good dad?

Am I doing enough?

Why didn't I do that? Why don't I do this?

I worry about all the things, I can't teach you.

I can't ride a bike. I'm not sporty.

What good am I to you?

What if other dads are better? Do they feel like this too?

Or am I the only one lying awake, wondering if I'm enough? Sometimes I feel numb. Disconnected. And then comes the guilt.

Why don't I feel closer? Why am I struggling? Do I love my son?

The question hurts, because I already know the answer. Of course I do.

I love you in the way, that makes me worry endlessly.

I love you in the way, that makes me doubt myself.

I love you in the way, that makes me afraid of failing you.

And then you laugh.

I sneeze, and you nearly fall over laughing. I accidentally hit myself on the head with a poster tube, and you're gasping for breath. I fart, and suddenly I'm the funniest person who has ever lived. You point at plugs, with a mischievous smile.

I say no. You grin. I say no again. You grin wider. Eventually you get bored, sit on the floor, and set off to find another adventure.

You are ten months old. You crawl like a rocket. You stop, look over your shoulder, checking if I'm chasing you. And if I am? Turbo mode.

You take a few wobbly steps, and my heart nearly bursts. Ten months old, already doing things I couldn't do at your age.

I bum shuffled. I crawled. I was born with a broken leg. Yet here you are, determined to run before you can walk.

I want to give you everything.

The world. Every opportunity. Every chance to be happy. But the world scares me.

I remember my own childhood.

The bullying.

The anxiety.

The mistakes.

The freedom.

Diving into rivers.

Fishing with friends.

Exploring without fear.

And somewhere along the way, I became more aware, of pain, of consequences, of how fragile things can be.

Now the world feels louder. Faster, Crueler, The internet never forgets. Bullies no longer need a playground. A phone can place the entire world, in a child's pocket, And not all of that world is kind.

I want to protect you from everything. But I know I can't.

One day, you'll have to step into it yourself. And that terrifies me.

Being a dad isn't easy.

There are moments of joy, moments of pride, moments that make my heart soar, But too often, all I hear is my own self-doubt.

The voice asking whether I'm capable of raising this incredible little human.

Then you shout, "Dada!"

And suddenly none of the doubts matter.

Because you don't need a perfect dad.

You just need me.

And every day, I'll keep trying, to be enough.

Men In Black Reboot Movie Idea

MEN IN BLACK: Black Veil

A grounded, horror-driven reboot inspired directly by the original The Men in Black comics less superhero spectacle, more occult conspiracy thriller. Starring John Hamm and Michael B Jordan.

Tone....Think: Se7en meets The X-Files, with flashes of Men in Black dry humor, mixed with cosmic horror and urban paranoia.

Rain-soaked cities. Flickering subway tunnels. Government buildings that feel haunted. Aliens aren’t quirky tourists they’re ancient things hiding behind human skin. The comedy comes from exhausted deadpan agents dealing with insanity like it’s office work.

The Premise

People across major cities begin mutilating themselves after seeing a strange symbol appear in reflections: mirrors, TV screens, subway windows, phone cameras. Witnesses describe “someone standing behind them” that nobody else can see. Entire apartment blocks go silent overnight.

The Men in Black discover the phenomenon is tied to an ancient extradimensional entity called The Hollow Man, a being the MIB buried decades ago beneath New York using occult technology stolen from non-human civilizations. Now the seal is failing.

The Agents

Agent Kay (John Hamm)

Not the warm mentor version.

This Kay is closer to the comics: emotionally deadened, terrifyingly competent, morally compromised, has spent decades covering up horrors. He knows more about the Hollow Man than he admits. He’s been hiding the truth because the original containment required sacrificing civilians. Kay believes humanity survives only through brutal secrecy.

Agent Jay (Michael B Jordan)

A former homicide detective recruited after surviving a supernatural encounter nobody can explain.

Jay is smart, funny, skeptical but the humor is defensive. He uses jokes because the truth is horrifying. Unlike the Will Smith version, this Jay slowly realizes: the MIB are not heroes, memory wiping is abuse, humanity may already be losing an intergalactic war. He starts questioning whether the organization itself is the real monster.

The Horror

The entity doesn’t attack physically at first. It spreads through observation. If you see its true form: your memories become corrupted, people around you forget you exist, reflections move independently, reality subtly changes. Victims begin disappearing from photographs.

One terrifying sequence:

A subway car arrives completely full of silent passengers facing the wrong direction. Every passenger is dead but still blinking.

Another:

Agents raid an apartment where every wall is covered in identical drawings made by a missing child:

a tall faceless figure wearing a black suit.

The Comedy

The humor is sparse and dry.

Examples:

Agents arguing over paperwork while disposing of an interdimensional corpse

Jay discovering the MIB health insurance has a “parasite deductible”

An exhausted alien informant refusing to help because “you humans always unleash ancient gods before elections”

The jokes relieve tension instead of undercutting it.

The Twist

Kay was part of the original operation that imprisoned the Hollow Man in the 1970s.

But the entity was never contained.

The MIB made a deal with it.

In exchange for keeping humanity ignorant, the entity was allowed to quietly feed on erased memories.

Every neuralyzer flash strengthened it.

The entire organization has unknowingly become a machine feeding a cosmic predator.

Kay has known for years.

Final Act

The climax takes place beneath Manhattan in abandoned Cold War tunnels converted into occult containment chambers.

Reality collapses:

impossible architecture

looping hallways

agents forgetting their own names. dead former MIB operatives appearing alive

Jay discovers the only way to weaken the Hollow Man is to expose the truth publicly. Kay believes humanity cannot psychologically survive the truth.

So the final confrontation isn’t just against the creature. It’s Jay vs Kay. Truth vs control. Old ways Vs human ways.

Ending

Jay leaks evidence of extraterrestrial and supernatural existence worldwide. Phones everywhere light up. People finally see what’s been hidden.

The final shot:

Across the world, thousands of reflections smile a half-second too late.

Orange & Blue - Original Poem by SJones

Orange and blue, the colours of a dream. The colours of a hero, who taught a generation, that limits are not walls, but mountains waiting to be climbed.

He began as a child, with dirt on his boots, and wonder in his eyes. The world was vast, filled with mysteries, monsters, and people who would become family.

He fought not for riches, nor crowns, nor glory. He fought because his heart, would not let him stand aside. With every challenge, he grew. With every defeat, he learned. With every friend, he became stronger.

The years passed, and the boy became a man, yet somehow remained the same. Still smiling. Still hungry. Still searching for the next horizon.

When darkness came from the stars, he stood before it, When fear gripped the world, he refused to bend. When others fell, he carried hope upon his shoulders.

He discovered that strength, was not found in fists alone. It was found in sacrifice, In loyalty. In choosing to protect, when running away would be easier. He watched children become heroes. He watched rivals become brothers. He watched enemies become allies.

Time and time again, he proved that kindness, could achieve what anger never could. The battles grew larger. The skies grew darker. The stakes grew higher. Yet so too did the light, that burned within him. For every monster, there was courage. For every tyrant, there was defiance.

For every impossible challenge, there was one more reason to keep going. He fell. He rose. He fell again. And still he rose. Not because he was the strongest, But because he never stopped believing, that tomorrow could be better.

That people could change, That there was always another path. The world called him a legend. A warrior. A champion. But perhaps his greatest power, was something much simpler. He reminded us, that greatness is not inherited. It is earned. 

One step. One choice. One act of courage at a time. And so the years continue. Children become parents. Parents become memories.

Yet the man in orange and blue, still races across our screens, our imaginations, and our hearts. A symbol of perseverance. A beacon of hope.

A reminder that no matter how impossible, the battle may seem, there is always another level to reach. And somewhere inside us all, there remains a child, looking toward the sky, believing they can fly.

An Interview With Caiman

Before Caiman's last match on Wednesday the 5th August 2026. I asked him for an interview....unfortunately for some reason unknown to me that it did not happen.

Caiman, first of all thank you for allowing me this interview today. 

For those who don't know the Crocodilian Psycho, tell us more about yourself and the man behind the character.

On August 5th, at Celtic Wrestling’s 100th and final show, The Big Bang 7, you’ll step into the ring for the final time. How does that feel emotionally?

Do you feel any extra pressure knowing this is both your final match and Celtic Wrestling’s final event?

When did you know it was time to step away?

What would the perfect ending look like for you?

Now, looking back on your career, What moment in your career are you proudest of?

Who has been your favourite opponent?

What is the hardest part of being a wrestler people don’t see?

It's Hot As Hell - Original Poem by SJones

It's hot as hell, my feet begin to swell, the heat makes me unwell, and I can hardly tell, if I'm melting in my garden, or trapped in some hot cell.

The sun is on a mission, it's cooking me quite well, my forehead's like a waterfall, my armpits ring a bell. The dog won't chase a tennis ball, the cat won't even yell, the birds have stopped their singing, they've all gone off to dwell. 

I opened up the freezer, and stood there for a spell, my wife walked in and shook her head, "You're not doing well!"

I dream about an iceberg, a fan, a breeze, a shell, but all I've got is sunshine and a sweaty, sticky smell.

So if you need to find me, there's really not much to tell, I'll be lying on the kitchen floor... because it's hot as hell!

Masters Of The Universe - I HAVE THE POWERFUL Film Review!

BEHOLD! THE MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE ARE BACK!!!!

The film follows He-Man (Prince Adam), who was stranded on Earth as a child. Years later he rediscovers the Sword of Power and returns to the world of Eternia, which has fallen under the rule of Skeletor. To save his home, he must embrace his destiny as He-Man.

Honestly, the new He-Man Masters Of The Universe film is brilliant! Absolutely amazing even.

The soundtrack is from Daniel Pemberton and Brian May, I loved it. The synthy over worldly sounds  and choirs, among May's signature Guitar sounds is iconic! There's a part of the track that literally sounds like a western vibes with like galloping in it and that's so good.

Skeletor was brilliant and a scene stealer, Jared Leto finally gets his flowers for an acting role. Nicolas was a great Adam/He-Man. The cast were great. 

Really enjoyable film which has grit, cheese, humour and heavy hitting action!

He-Man has a throne room fight that was awesome and then the final battle was epic. There were punches thrown I could feel echo through me in my seat.

Honestly so good and I'd happily watch it again. Please support this film! There's 3 after credits, so please stick around and also don't let this movie flop, I want more! Travis Knight did a hell of a job.

A Meeting With Dr. Rudefellows.

Story Time: 

I've been battling a sore throat for 2 weeks now. The past few days it's got worse. It's swollen left side and hurts when I swallow. I was unable to seek gp help Thursday when I felt it was at its worst state and local pharmacies were no help either. 

I went to a pharmacy 10mins away and got seen quickly and the pharmacist was so lovely and down to earth. Making jokes aswell as sharing his own experiences. Unfortunately he didn't really know what is my issue but my left side glands are definitely swollen and he fast tracked me and appointment with my GP the next day. Thanks again Dr Chris. 

However, I still needed to call my GP to set it up. So today this morning 8am I was constantly ringing my gp and after 30 calls and 45mins trying I finally got through and had an appointment for 2:15 so I attended said appointment on time and the Dr who seen me, I'll be honest was absolutely terrible. 

Dr Amy (I think her name was) just couldn't wait to get me out of the room. She asked me to sit down and she checked my good side and said all was fine. She didn't bother checking my ear on left side smh. She asked me to relax my tongue so she can see down my throat and said I need to relax it more. I then asked her to check my glans because the pharmacist said he could see straight away how red and raised my left side was by my neck and jaw and Amy went to go check but she said "You should have trimmed your beard before coming, I can't see anything with this in the way" and I thought that's rude but I jokingly went with it and said "oh you should have asked me to do it before I came in" and she said "hmm yes well it feels a little hot and swollen" and then came the stick down the throat and no luck she didn't seem to know what the issue was just that I'd be prescribed some sort of penicillin. She said "if the smell of food or chewing food makes your glan swell more it's so dangerous and life threatening that you need to see A&E straight away."

Ok no worries will do doc and then when I asked her if she doesn't mind looking at another issue, this time it was my legs. I had asked if she have a quick look and see what she thinks and she sighed and said "make it quick" and so I did and she just said "I've no idea maybe your legs have swollen lymph nodes or you have a case of lymphoedema but I couldn't tell you for sure." She should have just said "Mr Jones, sorry I am unable to look into anything else other than your sore throat at the moment" rather than be rude and seemingly annoyed of my existence there. I hate Drs who only seem to be doing it for the money, those ones with no single care for their patients. 

In the end I walked away with a prescription and I'm taking it and see how we go. Hopefully I'll be better and good again by bank holiday Monday. 🤞

Celtic Wrestling is back and it's having it's 100th show and also it's sadly the promotions last ever show and they are setting to go out with a BIG BANG!

That's right Celtic Wrestling presents The BIG BANG 7! There will be a Crowning The Queen womens Gauntlet match, Nick "Eugene" Dinsmore will be in action and so will the Crocodilian Psycho himself, Caiman but it will also be his last ever match. MORTAL KOMBAT 2 - MOVIE REVIEW (A NEAR FLAWLESS FATALITY)

Mortal Kombat II, directed by Simon McQuoid, follows Earthrealm’s fighters as they finally enter the brutal Mortal Kombat tournament against Shao Kahn and the forces of Outworld. The sequel introduces Johnny Cage as a major new hero while characters like Kitana, Scorpion, Liu Kang, and Raiden battle to stop Earthrealm from being conquered.

Alright listen up, I'll be upfront and honest, this is better than the first but still a way off from being a Flawless victory.

Please bring me a Johnny Cage / Kano buddy cop team up movie. That would be five stars easily. Also Baraka, funny af. Add him to the buddy cop movie. Best fight is probably Liu Kang Vs [REDACTED]. That one felt like two players going at it.

The film is very much Kitana's. Liu Kang is pretty much a background character unfortunately. Cole Young gets like 10mins of screen time total and it's a shame they listened to the fans about it. I do like Cole I like his power but if they doubled down and just added to him they could have redeemed him for fans.

Fights, blood, humour was wicked. Story was meh at best of times. The tournament fell to the background while the pressing matters of seeking an amulet took over. The tournament I wish had more of an arena feels to it rather than "levels" or "stages". Shao Kahn I wish talked more shit to his opponents. Kano I wish had his cyborg eye. Sindel was useless. Great Ed Boon cameo. 

The theme song always slaps, overall I had a pretty good time with this and hopefully we get more from this cinematic universe.
