The Call Of Depression - (Original poem)

It comes from the deep, it watches as you sleep, nowhere to go, nowhere to hide, none may escape the tide, he gazes deeply to the bottom of our souls, he knows all, sees all, he brings the insurmountable death toll, the bells ring and people scream, 400 feet high this is not a dream, you are not going insane just don't look into his gaze, for this day we die.

My body aches, its arms constricting all that exists depleting, death chaos and destruction light up its unimaginable eyes, it creeps ever so silently, we have to fight blindly, no where to go, no one to call for help, its dragging me under to sleep and be devoured like kelp.

Bloodcurdling screams echo around me, I cant stand this insanity, someone put me out of my misery, tears are rolling down my face whilst the monster drags me to its face, it breaks my ribs, I look at its gaze and I'm all out of place, I cant remember where I am, what is this, damn. Flashes, red flashes, bright cannot see, its anger lashing out at me, it won't let me go, it's trying to lead me astray from the light, its showing me I'm not good enough and I'm not worthy of existing, I think I'm going further out to sea and I might jump in, I cannot swim but I cannot breathe right now, everything is too much, I don't know what to do, it's hands cut my wrists and spreads open my flesh.

I'm taking leap despite it's hands wrapped around my neck, I'm bleeding profusely, I think I'm done goodbye, humanity.

My Hero Academia: World Heroes Mission Movie - Review!

By now you should know what My Hero Academia is about or you know that I am a huge fan of it. So when the new movie was announced I was so excited and here we are now that the movie is out in cinemas in the UK from the 29th October 2021, I shall give you the low down and my thoughts on this movie.

So with the world population having 80% of it with powers we have a terrorist group come from the shadows to throw the world into chaos by bombing places to take people's powers aka quirks away from them because they believe in a quirk doomsday theory which means powers will destroy the world basically and so our heroes set off all over the world to take down the threat of Humarize. Meanwhile our boy Deku has been framed for murder and is on the run with our new companion Rody (Who is the heart of the movie and is such a well written great character I felt.)

This film is it's own thing, set roughly in the middle of the show's 5th season however. This is visually stunning and I felt it was their best animation yet. The soundtrack is also amazing! There was a few new characters introduced with this film too and two of which stood out are Flect and Rody. Rody brought a lot of heart to this movie and Flect brought menace. One criticism I have is Bakugo felt mostly one note most his lines were "Don't give me orders" and it would have been refreshing to see and hear new and different lines as his character is changing and evolving more as we move further on down the line to the current issues of the manga with his character development, however we did get to see Bakugo use his brains more and that surprised me.

This film delivers MHA at it's best with outstanding fan service moments which the fans are still all hyped and talking about aswell as gorgeous scenery and hype music. Sadly this does not really affect the canon of the anime and manga BUT I think it has moments which will be followed up with later down the line especially with some of the new special moves shown off in the epic fights.

Anyway, if you enjoy MHA you will no doubt enjoy and love this movie.

8/10

Halloween Kills - Film Review - The Essence Of Evil

The Shape emerging from the fiery embers. Photo credit to the rightful owners.

He has come home again, it's another year in Haddonfield and The Boogeyman is on the prowl.

Set just minutes after Halloween (2018) with introspective recreated flashbacks to the events of the original 1978. Halloween Kills follows our Laurie and her daughter Karen and her daughter Alison all return along with old familiars being old cast mates and returning characters from ye ol Halloween 78' as Haddonfield is gathered together by Tommy Doyle to kill evil because and I quote the angry mob; "Evil Dies Tonight!".

It was believed by our heroic badass women that Michael was left for dead and presumed dead, HOW COULD ANYONE SURVIVE BEING BURNED ALIVE!? Well kids, no spoilers but firecrew came, in the nickers of time to put the blaze out and to help anyone stuck inside the building which ended up being their death trap because they allowed The Evil to live and to escape.

Michael does some of the most brutal and creative kills of the series here in this film, The Shape, No, The Boogeyman is back to haunt Haddonfield and to infect it with his evil and fear. Laurie says it best in the film "I always thought Michael Myers was flesh and blood, just like you and me, but a mortal man could not have survived what he's lived through. The more he kills, the more he transcends into something else impossible to defeat. Fear. People are afraid. That is the true curse of Michael. You can't beat it with brute force. It is the essence of evil. The anchor that divides us. It is the terror that grows stronger when we try to hide."

What's funny about this Halloween film is it's the second in the now new canon trilogy of Halloween films and Laurie spends most of the film in a hospital, like in Halloween II (1981). Also Halloween (2018) was released forty years after Halloween (1978). Halloween Kills (2021) was released forty years after Halloween II (1981). Halloween Ends (2022) is set to be released forty years after Halloween III: Season of the Witch (1982). The masks the three corpses are wearing on the merry-go-round are the Silver Shamrock masks from Halloween III: Season of the Witch and you might have seen this reference in the trailer.

Overall, I loved and enjoyed this film and I cannot wait for the next instalment. I think everyone involved in this film did a good job and I loved the soundtrack too.

How I Treated My Covid-19 Symptoms.

Ok so my treatment of my Covid 19 symptoms changed gradually every day.

To start for the first few days, I just took Ibuprofen, paracetamol, cough medicine & pastels and drank plenty of water and adjusted to my bodily fluctuations of hot and cold sweats. I also used my throat spray and had regular cups of Lemsip tea with some honey in it too. I gargled and spat out mouth wash every morning and night also. I made sure my window was always open to for fresh air.

I regularly before and during and after Covid, sanitize my hands, always have because I am a bit of a germaphobe although to not an extreme limit, just to a point I feel clean.

Sleep was hard to come by and I always felt tired no matter how much sleep I had but my sleep was almost everyday disturbed by myself waking me up via coughs or toilet trips.

Later on during my illness, I did lost my taste and smell and I kept doing all I was doing prior but this time I used some decongestion nasal spray, vicks stick and vicks vapour rub to try and clear my blocked nose.

However after my isolation period I went out and purchased some nasal spray which spray's vapour fumes up the nose and It is more helpful than your standard Vicks vapour sniff sticks.

I hope my guide and what I did can help anyone else struggling with their symptoms in anyway, shape or form.
