CFMT MUST BE STOPPED - COREY TAYLOR DEBUT SINGLE REVIEW!

Here it is bay baaaay!!!!
After weeks of teasers and sneak peaks and after years of work we have the first single and the debut single of Corey Taylor's debut solo album!!!!
Credit: Kerrang & Ashley Osborn.

This is how you make a debut single and this is how your announcement to the world should be!  Everyone needs to take notes, even if you took no notes you can bet your sweet booty that he's put the industry on notice once again but this time he's going it alone.

You enter the world screaming covered in someone else's blood and you enter the music industry by shouting, being noisy, catchy, having some groovy riffs and bars whilst spitting flamin relentless bars. Effectively Corey has kicked down the door to the industry years ago and now he's ripped the damn door off for all to see and hear. Corey is not a stranger he's been in this game for three decades now but for a solo outing this is how you do it. Of course if you don't know who the fuck Corey Taylor is you will now!

Also worth mentioning another released track from this long awaited album has been released and it's called Black Eyes Blue and this is a lovely alternative rock, love song which is also very lovely and catchy and i love. So for the less hardcore you got this to fall back to.

So far we got groove, blues, funk, soft, aggression as well as the obvious rock and metal vibes and course rap is present too so basically we got all we have known Corey for in his past but in one person and in his most mature state right now in time. CFMT must be stopped is loud, in your face and kicks so much ass!, all the while moving and flowing like a coursing river, the music video features an all star line up of cameo's too! I love this song!

Corey in a recent Kerrang interview stated he want's people to smile and say "Fuck, that was a good time!".  Corey in the same Kerrang interview also stated that this album fills in the blanks of his personality considering he is a goofball when it comes to social media and in interviews: "“People give me shit for being this loquacious goofball – in interviews, and in real life and whatnot,” he says. “But then I’m this very dark artist when it comes to a lot of my music. And yet people are like, ‘Well, how can you be one and the other?’ I feel like this album fills in a blank there; it ties those two sides together. You can’t have darkness without the light; you can’t experience joy unless you know what real sadness feels like; you can’t know that you’ve won unless you’ve lost… a lot. And that’s what this is: this is me coming back up to the surface and realising that I’m in a really good fuckin’ place, I feel like this is kind of the missing piece of a puzzle.”

5 STARS
I can't wait for more!

I won't let them take you away - Original song/poem

I've walked through the eye,
the eye of the storm,
and I won't,
let them take
you away,

And I've hurt myself,
Going, through the chan-ges,
Life has cut me down, and it's knocked me out,
But I still
persevere,

To save my soul,
To save your life,
I'll take their life away,

And as I realise
as their eyes go white,
That my soul can't be saved,

But baby trust me girl,
I won't let them
get
away,

I will,
Never
let you down,
For I will,
always be,
the one who has your back my dear,

Bad men may,
they may come for you,
And some may say,
That they're goo-oooh-d,
But they won't take,
you
 Ah-way,

I've fallen down,
I've got back up,
I've been beaten to a pulp,
And I've been stabbed....and shot,
I ain't had......much luck,
But they won't take....
My girl away,

Bad men try,
they try all the time,
to take you
 ah-way,

But what they don't realise,
The sight before their eyes,
As they come to meet their demise,
That this girls with me,
And I've got
no mercy,

So pack up your bags and carry a knife,
for this trip .....won't be
eeeasy,
but know this time and realise,
That i love my bay bee,
And bad may come and men may appear,
But they won't take you
from
me.

My Hero Academia Top 10 Songs

My Hero Academia is one of my all time favourite anime's and it's one of the most inspirational anime's i have ever seen. I love this show so much and oh my god does it have some banging tunes!

So from the opening themes, closing themes and the inbetween's, let's take a trip to UA Highschool to listen in on these quirky numbers!
10: You Can Become A Hero
So to kick off the list is this instrumental song which appears in the scene where All Might passes on his Quirk to Young Midoria. Deku for years looked up to All Might so imagine the surprise he gets when All Might says to him that he was inspired by his biggest fan's movements without thinking. Deku was a normal kid not blessed with a quirk unlike so many of the entire population of the world yet he acted in the face of danger without thinking and All Might tell's him that he can become a hero and this is where the story begins of how Deku became the world's greatest hero!

9: Heroes
The ending theme to the first season is very powerful. Performed by Brian The Sun the lyrics are great so is the instrumental. Best lyric: "No matter if this is fiction or reality, i'll surely manage to go beyond!".

8: Make My Story
I know what i have to do, it's my life my one and only! Oh god this just hits and just takes you on a roller coaster i feel and damn is it stylish, catchy and hard hitting, i love this one!

7: Polaris
The story of Eri is captured in this heartbreaking emotional powerful song. "Push aside all these tears and be the best i can be, just as long as i know you won't give up on me, at the end of the day i'd give you everything!, made a promise that you would always be safe, just know my heart can still remember that day". Beautiful right?!

6: Hero A
This is a chilling track with rock rap based elements and i love it, it's very different but it appears quite a bit instrumentally and as the rap rock version at times and it's damn good.

5: Might+U
This is a soft, raw, emotional, vulnerable song and it makes me cry but also feel inspired and empowered and reassured. It's honestly such a beautiful song! "Remember it's just natural that we'll be there if you need help, Far across the distance, rest assured that our faith just won't die".

4: Hero Too

OH I BLOODY LOVE THIS ONE!!!! Class 1A gave a hell of a concert experience in performing this original song hehe. "Hero too, I am a hero too, My heart is set (my heart is set) and I won't back down, Hero too, strength doesn't make a hero, True heroes (true heroes) stand up for what they believe, So wait and see".

3: Peace Sign
Here is the season 2 opening which i always catch myself humming or singing just randomly, it makes me smile. The instruments and way it flows it's just so good! "My eyes are swollen from the tears that I've been crying but to the world ever smiling, singing for the courage i'm dying to show, with my peace sign up as i say goodbye, write a story of a hero!" Song perfectly captures all might and deku.

2: You Say Run
THIS OH YES! Purely instrumental inspiring motivating butt kicking anthem here! LOVE IT SO MUCH AHHHHHHH!!!!

1: The Day
Iconic and classic this song captures the feel of what to expect from this show, it's a bloody good track! I heard and loved this way before i watched the anime crazy right!? I do miss it at times and i am almost always singing it or humming it. "The maze is twisting, ever twisting, Do you plan to see what you're missing, The sound of a bell from a tiny adventurer, Signals a new beginning, Are you sure that you're not shaking?, Such uncertain roads you're taking, Every step that you take it is changing you, Where is tomorrow?, The day has come!"

Alright and that's my list, what did you think?

Do you like these songs too? You a big fan of the anime or manga?
What list would you like me to do next?
Let me know!

Stay safe and stay shiny!

Taylor Swift Track 5's RANKED?!

So not too long ago, well a year ago really, Tay-Tay's song The Archer came out. Taylor said it was track 5 of her latest album Lover, and i was like "hmm okay" whilst my gf was like "omg this gona be soooo good" as apparently to my unknowing knowledge that Taylor's track fives are notoriously known for being her best or most powerful?

So i'm gonna have a refresh of all her track fives and just write a bit about them and rank them effectively and of course as ever, if i am wrong my misses will kill me. So i am aware of the great immense pressure i am under hehe.

This list was a long time coming and did get left sadly in the bleachers but here we are picking it back up and making the cut!

Let's pull on the bow and launch ourselves like an arrow because we are all archers launching ourselves into the unknown. Life pulls us back but launches us and lands us in unexpected places.

7: White Horse
This track won little Tay a grammy so it's something special as you can hear it's a raw emotional song and was more mature for her. I am not sure what else to say about this song it is good.

6: Dear John
Noted this is one of Taylor's most emotional songs and is about a short lived toxic relationship that ended and near the end Taylor finally culminates with one of her most empowering lyrics: “But I took your matches before fire could catch me, So don’t look now, I’m shining like fireworks over your sad, empty town.”.

5: The Archer
It's not one of my personal faves of hers but i can see and appreciate the vulnerability in Swift coming to terms with herself and accepting herself in her own skin as she talks about her insecurities and at the end seems to signal the love of loving someone for everything they are with faults and all.

4: All Too Well
So now we are embarking on the more acoustic classic Taylor. She is an artist in story telling and how she can paint pictures from her words and lyrics, i particularly love the instrumental here in this song.

3: Cold As You
Hard to believe Taylor was in highschool when she wrote this right? I love the way this song really captures her vocal power and this is a good song and it's the one which started the tradition of the legendary track 5's in the fandom.

2: Delicate
I am putting this here in the list mostly because i am reminded of my girlfriend first introducing me to this song and her saying "this song is for you" because its how she felt about me along with another song but there's plenty songs she will happily say are aimed at me and you know its how she feels for me in what the lyrics are conveying. It's a pretty chill song to listen to driving west on 20 in a convertible car with the roof down.

1: All You Had To Do Was Stay
A very upbeat track compared to other songs on this list as it lacks that emotional vulnerability of other songs so it is different to the rest but it's still good and catchy for sure as Taylor takes a strong stance of defiance in this track 5. During the making of this list, i had shuffled the order so many times. Most if not all of these songs i think we must be in the right head space to listen to and fully take on board as you will see with this one as i am in a very happy, good mood and this one just makes me move and sing a lot at this moment in time.

So there we go all of Tay's current track fives listened to, written about and ranked so tell me how did i do?

Which is your fave? Let me know and as ever any list suggestions message me anytime @1stmetalgod okay.

Stay Shiny!
