Taylor Swift Track 5's RANKED?!

So not too long ago, well a year ago really, Tay-Tay's song The Archer came out. Taylor said it was track 5 of her latest album Lover, and i was like "hmm okay" whilst my gf was like "omg this gona be soooo good" as apparently to my unknowing knowledge that Taylor's track fives are notoriously known for being her best or most powerful?

So i'm gonna have a refresh of all her track fives and just write a bit about them and rank them effectively and of course as ever, if i am wrong my misses will kill me. So i am aware of the great immense pressure i am under hehe.

This list was a long time coming and did get left sadly in the bleachers but here we are picking it back up and making the cut!

Let's pull on the bow and launch ourselves like an arrow because we are all archers launching ourselves into the unknown. Life pulls us back but launches us and lands us in unexpected places.

7: White Horse
This track won little Tay a grammy so it's something special as you can hear it's a raw emotional song and was more mature for her. I am not sure what else to say about this song it is good.

6: Dear John
Noted this is one of Taylor's most emotional songs and is about a short lived toxic relationship that ended and near the end Taylor finally culminates with one of her most empowering lyrics: “But I took your matches before fire could catch me, So don’t look now, I’m shining like fireworks over your sad, empty town.”.

5: The Archer
It's not one of my personal faves of hers but i can see and appreciate the vulnerability in Swift coming to terms with herself and accepting herself in her own skin as she talks about her insecurities and at the end seems to signal the love of loving someone for everything they are with faults and all.

4: All Too Well
So now we are embarking on the more acoustic classic Taylor. She is an artist in story telling and how she can paint pictures from her words and lyrics, i particularly love the instrumental here in this song.

3: Cold As You
Hard to believe Taylor was in highschool when she wrote this right? I love the way this song really captures her vocal power and this is a good song and it's the one which started the tradition of the legendary track 5's in the fandom.

2: Delicate
I am putting this here in the list mostly because i am reminded of my girlfriend first introducing me to this song and her saying "this song is for you" because its how she felt about me along with another song but there's plenty songs she will happily say are aimed at me and you know its how she feels for me in what the lyrics are conveying. It's a pretty chill song to listen to driving west on 20 in a convertible car with the roof down.

1: All You Had To Do Was Stay
A very upbeat track compared to other songs on this list as it lacks that emotional vulnerability of other songs so it is different to the rest but it's still good and catchy for sure as Taylor takes a strong stance of defiance in this track 5. During the making of this list, i had shuffled the order so many times. Most if not all of these songs i think we must be in the right head space to listen to and fully take on board as you will see with this one as i am in a very happy, good mood and this one just makes me move and sing a lot at this moment in time.

So there we go all of Tay's current track fives listened to, written about and ranked so tell me how did i do?

Which is your fave? Let me know and as ever any list suggestions message me anytime @1stmetalgod okay.

Stay Shiny!
