Top 10 Films Of 2017!

So the year is at it's end, BUT before we wave goodbye to 2017 let's recap the movies and my top 10 favourite films of the year. Now i have seen a lot of films this year and it's going to be a tough one but hey i am going to try my best and give my personal opinions and ranking these films and i hope you can let me know what films are in your top 10 of 2017 too!

In 2017 i have seen over 40 films in the cinema easily and that's a lot of hours spend on films! SOME FILMS MAY NOT BE HERE AS UK AND USA DO HAVE FILMS RELEASED ON DIFFERENT DATES. Like i want to watch The Shape Of Water but its not here in uk til January, sad times. 

I RECOMMEND ALL THESE FILMS FOR YOU TO WATCH!

10: The Disaster Artist 

When i heard of this film i thought "oh god why, why make a film based on the worse film ever?" and then when i seen the trailer i was like "ok this looks like a laugh riot" and then when i finally watched the film i was heavily surprised of how much of a heartwarming and inspiring film it is and feel sorry for Tommy but also happy for Tommy. It's a really good film! 

9: Split

Is a totally insane film which took me off guard i had heard before hand that it is a must see and it was one that was most talked about when it released and i enjoyed it, and i'd say it's M. Night's best film in years easily.

8: Kong: Skull Island

Well this was great. Hank Marlow was the best character though, which says a lot. Despite having a great cast. Conrad, Weaver and Randa were just so weak it was disappointing but they all have their moments just Marlow and Kong were best.

7: John Wick: Chapter 2

Great story following on from the first of course but Keanu is better than ever in the sequel and so is the action, regarding the action it is top notch and gruesome and i love the visuals too.

6: War For The Planet Of The Apes

I often forget about this film coming out this year with all the big releases but this is a hell of a film, it blows me away how perfect they have the cgi in the film, the apes look and feel so real, it's crazy! Loved it though. 

5: IT

The biggest horror film of the year was not GET OUT but it was IT! And IT is incredible! That's all i will say of IT! Best horror remake, one of the best King adaptions, loved it and enjoyed it, bring me part 2!

4: Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 2

 

Funny, brilliant, gorgeous, and action packed are the words that sum up this belter from Marvel. The formula for a good Marvel movie is all in the Guardians and hey even Thor Ragnarok copied the formula and that too was brilliant but it was more of a comedy than hero film. 

3: Wonder Woman 

This film was incredible and i am so happy at how well it did in the box office, i really enjoyed it and i took my mate James along to see it, even though he's not into dc as much as me and does not know wonder woman that well he did initially say "i don't really want to watch it but i'll come along for a day out with you to watch it" his reaction after the film was the same as mine. Incredible. 

2: Power Rangers

Probably my most watched movie this year, i love Power Rangers, it's no secret. As a kid i wanted, i dreamt, i imagined i was a ranger or wanted to be one and what it would be like. The 2017 movie was amazing, i highly enjoyed it, i did have doubts but honestly it's such a well made movie and brings the movie to the modern era, there's still the cheese the series has in the movie but its all good and all entertaining and the actors and characters were fantastic, love this movie!

1: Baby Driver

My second most watched movie of the year is the one movie i have not stopped talking about and looking into very deeply about how it was made is the brilliant Baby Driver. From it's visuals to its actors, characters, colour schemes and soundtrack this film is top notch, my fave film of the year and its one that really caught me off guard. I seen a trailer and i thought "i think this will do well with awards but im not sure i'll like it" then i heard talks for ages of how good the film is and everyone in work who i work with was telling me to see it and so i caved and seen it and i loved it! 

God, this was a tough list to put together so many great films i have seen this year also. None of these films are perfect however, what film is?

Top 10 Digimon

So because i did a Top 10 Pokemon list, how could i not ever do a top 10 digimon list!? Come on now Digimon is so much better than Pokemon.

10) Devimon

This evil Digimon is one of the first major adversaries of the Digidestined and does a great job at making life difficult for a merry band of heroic children. He's bad to the very core. As his name implies, Devimon is devilish in every way imaginable. There is literally nothing redeeming about this character. As such, his inevitable demise is all the more satisfying.

9) Rennamon

Renamon is powerful for a Rookie Digimon, as well as very swift and agile. She is far more mature than the other Rookie Digimon, considering her experience and her jaded view on life. Renamon's feral features and penetrating icy blue eyes can make her seem quite intimidating, even when she does not mean to give that impression. Her character development and her abilities made me love this digimon a lot back in season 3, she is so unique.

8) Gallantmon

Gallantmon is an Exalted Knight Digimon. One of the "Royal Knights", it is a being containing contradictions, as it is called a guardian deity of the Net despite being a Virus attribute, and if by any chance its balance is lost, it is possible for it to become a dangerous being. It pilots the Flying Dragon machine "Grani", as a dragon knight that races across the skies. Gallantmon was the first Biomerged Digimon to appear. Gallantmon first appeared when Takato Biomerged with Guilmon in order to fight Beelzemon. In this new form, Gallantmon was able to defeat Beelzemon. He also destroyed Caturamon during the battle, but it was Beelzemon who absorbed his data. Gallantmon's power proved a major asset in the battle against the D-Reaper. Gallantmon played a key role in confronting the D-Reaper and in obtaining the ARMS "Grani" as his mode of transportation. In the English version he often speaks with a merged voice between Guilmon and Takato, representing that he is a fused dual entity of the two both physically and mentally and often retains the childish mentality of Guilmon in part. Such a badass and powerful digimon he had to be on my list.

7) Magnamon

Magnamon is a Warrior Digimon. It armour digivolved through the power of the Digi-Egg of Miracles. It possesses tremendous defensive ability, its offensive power is equivalent to that of a Mega Digimon, or even greater, and it is one of the "Royal Knights". That moment he gets his form in the first movie is so badass and certainly a memorable one.

6) SHOUTMON X7 SUPERIOR MODE

Shoutmon X7 Superior Mode (there’s a mouthful) might be the strongest “good” Digimon that the Digital World has ever seen. However, with the franchise slowly growing in vast ways that complicate the mythology and even add new “multiverses” into the mix, SX7SM falls down in the rankings a little bit when considering all of the Digimon that command control over the multiverse rather than just a singular world. Shoutmon X7 Superior Mode is also another of those last-ditch apocalypse scenarios where all (or at least most; there’s a bit of debate over this) of the Digimon in the Digital World fuse together to form this goliath who is capable of taking down Digimon Fusion’s threat. In fact, SX7SM’s fused body becomes so massive from all of the Digimon that it’s absorbing that a number of “runoff Digimon” are left orbiting its body like a satellite would to a planet. SX7SM has taken down MegaDarknessBagramon, UltimateKhaosmon, and Fanglongmon, which are no small feats and explain his placement here.

5) Mastemon

It is an Angel Digimon who manipulates light and darkness, and has the power to cross through space-time. The combination of angewoman and ladydevimon makes this incredible angel. Besides all this we don't know an awful lot about this amazing being but it's debut and moves and design is why i love it so much!

4) Alphamon

Alphamon is a Warrior Digimon and a carrier of the X-Antibody. While it is one of the "Royal Knights", it is said that to the Holy Knights it is a being similar to a deterrent force, and as it doesn't appear in normal times, it is also called the "Aloof Hermit" who flutters a blue mantle, and is the Royal Knight assigned to the place called the "Empty Seat". Because it possesses the "Alpha inForce" ability, an ultimate force which, in battle, instantaneously replays the elapsed battle, although Alphamon's attacks are over in just an instant, you can't grasp how many attacks it actually unleashed, and in theory, you can only see the final blow that brought down its opponent. It can deploy a magic circle of DigiCode from its hands to perform offence and defence. Alphamon i first discovered through the cyber sleuth game and without spoiling anything he/she/it looks cool, is cool and is powerful as hell and can transform. Alphamon also appears in digimon tri and i highly recommend you watch those!

3) Beezlemon

A merciless Digimon named after Satan (Beezlebub) himself. Beezlemon is ruthless and a loner, but has a sense of honor, and seeks to find opponents worthy to challenge him. He wields two shotguns, and rides a giant motorcycle called Behemoth. Beezlemon is known to target his opponent's heart when firing weapons at them. He represents the sin of gluttony, and the planet Venus. It took Impmon a lot to get this form and so it's so memorable when he got it and to see his journey to the little runt to the devil incarnate. 

2) BlackWargreymon

Arguably the most famous Digimon of all time, BlackWarGreymon adds a dark color scheme and a brutal personality to Agumon's Mega form. Similarly to Beezlemon, BlackWarGreymon is merciless, but despises cowardice and seeks to find meaning in life. In the original anime, Digimon Adventure, BlackWarGreymon acted as a sort of anti-hero, sometimes cooperating with the protagonists, and sometimes working against them. I remember the awe we felt as kids seeing an eviler version of our hero WarGreymon.

1) Omnimon

What happens when you fuse the awesomeness of Wargreymon and Metalgarurumon? The greatest Digimon of all time, that's what! Omnimon is hands-down the greatest and most powerful Digital Monster to ever grace the series, combining the power of both Tai and Matt's loyal companions.

Top 10 Pokemon

Hey, what's going on? So today i decided to go ahead and list my top 10 Pokemon. I was supposed to bring this out in time for Sun and Moon ultra but hey oh i forgot. 

10) Ash's Greninja

This badass looking powerful Pokemon is loyal to Ash and so has had this immense evolution to become this. I have only had this Greninja with me in Pokemon Sun and what a pokemon, got me out of tight battles. 

9) Lucario

Lucario is the best hands down. It's the coolest non-legendary pokemon ever created and even has a movie named after it. It may have many weaknesses but it has great move-set to back itself up. It was also the first Pokemon to Mega Evolve!

8) Venusaur

He can learn a good array of moves that can deal immense damage and he can poison, paralyze, and put the opponent to sleep! He is a valuable tool in battle and i'd consider one of the best grass types. 

7) Pidgeot

This pokemon is always a must have on my team since Pokemon Blue. Love Pidgeot great pokemon and asset to any team. 

6) Feraligatr

Its hydro cannon is like EPIC. Its one of the best starters in all of Pokemon. He has an AWESOME design and... He's one of my favourite Pokemon. 

5) Machoke

Strong and cool design with a killer move set this is always a great asset to a wrestling fans team of pokemon let's be honest. 

4) Decidueye

The robin hood of pokemon is what i call him. My fave starter pokemon from Sun well you know Rowlett you start with but as you progress you get this badass. 

3) Giratina

Giratina is a total BEAST. It knows Destiny Bond! So when he/she/it (I'll call it he by the way) is defeated, the opponent is dead too! Giratina could literally beat anyone. Shadow Force is like a 10x stronger move than Phantom Force, and it can break through all protections!

2) Charizard

It's a simple pokemon but its strong. Its true that charizard isn't a rare pokemon. But its cool to know that this pokemon is great even its just a normal pokemon. Its power is really great with quite speed. 

1) Mew-Two

Of course i picked the most badass pokemon of all time to be my number 1! Mewtwo is unique. It wasn't created by Arceus. Mewtwo is not only strong, but also extremely intelligent. What else do you want me to say about Mew-Two, it's Mew-Two for god sake haha.

Where The Cheat Codes At?!

Some people like to think that Cheats have vanished from video games...I don't think that's true but then again what was the last game i played with cheats?

It was most likely....GRAND THEFT AUTO 5! 

Yes i believe that was the last game i played which had cheats in. This game came out back in 2013 originally but then came out once more on the current gen consoles a year later. 

Also the last code i used that worked was for a secret item in Rocket League but i am unsure to class it as a cheat or not but hey here it is - At the starting screen, before the title screen appears and without skipping any previous splash screens, press Up(2), Down(2), Left, Right, Left, Right, Circle, X, Options. When the title screen appears, the text will read "Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars", which was an older title from the game's developer. 

I love Rocket League and i felt like i had to share the code to any of my friends reading this, incase they did not know already but here is the code to unlock a cool item and Easter egg so enjoy everyone!

Originally cheat codes started for the testers as a way of debugging games, they were basically codes in the games themselves. Back in the days of early 90's gaming and before that if these cheat codes were removed by the developers it would cause the game some game breaking bugs and glitches. Back then only a select amount were allowed to stay in games only to simply test the game out and make sure everything works. Games these days are made so differently and with more tech so it makes it easier to remove these codes and just glue up most bugs in the games coding but of course this "gluing process" does not make the games stable and fully debugged at all since as time has progressed things have become quite complex and thus is why most games come out buggy on release specifically Ubisoft games. 

Cheat codes were thought of to be a taboo matter back with last gen as if you used them, the trophies and achievements would get disabled which sucks. If you loved using cheats on ps2 or xbox etc it felt as if using cheats was punishment in a way, because jumping from ps2 to ps3 and to play a gta title was a slap in the face it felt like. Cheats on GTA in the PS2 days "go nuts kid" and then in PS3 days it was "Sorry kid we have to turn trophies off if you wish to use cheats." and my response was "why?!" why do this to us gamers? Your most reliable fans? Why slap us for using codes you guys supplied the general public with? Was it really the publisher's fault or was it the maker of the consoles we have fault for the disablement of trophies or achievements on the console we used these codes on? 

Cheats have existed for years and even though people may say they have faded least we forget they have and will always exist under their alternative name known as, Mods. 

I suppose the Konami code will still work on Konami games for well ever because it's the longest most reliable cheat code in history but time will tell if that get's erased or not down the line, in this dark age of loot boxes and vr gaming. 

Don't worry too much though, we still have fond memories of cheats we used and we can only hope cheats return to full form in the next gen of gaming and that our fave sandbox games like GTA and Saints Row will have cheats because without cheats those games would not be the same.

GAME ON!

Action Man: Live Action Dream Casting!

You know for years as a kid i loved and collected Action Man. I collected toys, comics, dvds, videos, books, games and all other memorabilia. Now recently i seen a pic of Henry Cavil and i just was hit with the strong resemblance and memory of Action Man. So i thought i would have a go at casting my own live action AM film. Let me know your thoughts and share it! 

Action Man = Henry Cavill

Just look at this image of him, he is the embodiment of AM. Alex Mann, Action Man's civilian identity, is an extreme sports athlete of Team Xtreme and also works as part of a secret British branch of the military and in MI5 he is known as Action Man. He was adopted by the Exler family. His father was an american rocket scientist and wealthy inventor Dr. Alfred Exler who happens to work with Sir Arthur Strong from the ISD. After the death of his father he was separated and moved with the Mann family in England with a portion of his fathers money. He never seen his Exler family again. As an adult he travelled the world doing extreme sports when one day he was involved in an avalanche which he was found and taken by a mysterious tribe called the Akesh Maharishis living in an remote ashram in the Himalayas and as part of the training he was cut on the left side of his cheek. Journeying there in a final desperate bid for harmony and redemption, he immersed himself for over three years in their intensive regimen of physical conditioning, wilderness survival, mountain climbing, martial arts and ninja-like skills, yoga and meditation. By excelling in these activities, he earned the coveted "A.M." tattoo of the cult. He returned to the Western world with extraordinary mental and physical skills where he helped stop a bomb threat in the london underground which quickly had the MI5 snap him up and recruit him and eventually he worked to gear his own division the Action Force. 

Dr.X = Ben Kingsley

Hard to think of many greats who could play the greatest hero of them all but i think Ben would play the part brilliantly.  Dr. X or Doctor X is a mad scientist who is the arch-enemy of Action Man in its line of toys, introduced in the mid-late 1990s. Despite many changes in appearance, he is easily identified by his mustache, almost-to-totally bald head, and bionic arm and eye (sometimes replaced by an eyepatch). For those wondering, he received his PhD in theoretical physics from University College London in the United Kingdom, having completed his undergraduate and one placement year working as an assistant mad scientist for the NHS. Dr X is a danger to the world and is its most dangerous criminal mastermind. He leaves a trail of death and destruction wherever he goes. During the battles with Action Man, Dr X has constantly been defeated and humiliated. However, the evil scientist never seems to give up and each time he comes back to do battle, he grows stronger. Action Man may think him defeated but Dr X can strike fear and destruction on the world and its people at any time and bring the world to its knees. Who knows he may already be secretly ruling over the parts of the world.

Professor Gangrene = Ed Harris

Ed plays a hell of a villain and i think you need someone as good as Ben to play the supporting villain role with the second in command the ever scheming Prof.Gangrene. Professor Gangrene is a mad scientist who works for Dr X. in most versions he is green-skinned, almost bald and his left eye is bigger than the right one. An interesting thing to note is that he has been shown to be greedy and to have a love for money. A reason for this characteristic could be due to his name and colour scheme - both of which are green (green with envy). He has also been potrayed as unloyal to Dr X and is usually motivated by his own goals and agenda.

Maxx = Jackie Earle Haley

You need someone tough and intense to play this role so i pick Jackie for this. Majorly you get to see a street punk fighter look and a bandaged up face of Maxx and you can only see his eyes and i think Jackie is tough, intense and can play along just with his intense stares. Maxx also known as the man with no name, X, Spike, Freak Face and the Purple Menace is a henchman and a street gang leader and enforcer. He can easily be recognised by his bandaged face and spiky hair. The origin how he got his disfigurement is that one of Gangrenes experiments blew up in his face. He is usually portrayed as a tough but not too bright lead henchman of Dr Xs forces.

Director = Michael Bay - Who else could direct a film with Action in the name?

How DCEU Should Make Man Of Steel 2! Fan idea for the general plot of the sequel.

Since Lex is free let's have him antagonise Supes. Bring Metallo and Bizarro. Lex is obsessed with Supes can be the main story to why he went and created a bizarre superman and that he also wanted to take down the man of steel so acquired Kryptonite and helped make Metallo come to life.

Have the first half be Supes is back saving lives while Clark struggles getting back to the normal routine and then perhaps fails to save John Corben which is all part of a trap by Lex of course but supes won't know. John is thought to be dead members of Lexcorp take the body away supes is down sad he couldn't save someone's life and have Metallo come alive being brainwashed by Lex saying "It's his fault your like this, it's his fault your a metallic monster, it's his fault your METALLO!" which has Metallo power on snap at Lex holding Lex off the ground angry. Metallo replies to him: "Tell me where he is!" and Lex smiles and we cut to a peaceful day in the city all is well, until a train station is on the news being destroyed with people inside being trapped and killed from rubble and supes see's this and ignores it as he is down as he thinks he failed saving John's life. Louis talks Clark into going to save the people trapped in the train station as details emerge on the news it's some green robot is terrorising the city.

Superman snaps back to being a hero he's determined to stop this robot hurting others because he realises he can't always save everyone and what happened to John was not his fault and he saves those trapped uneed rubble and flies towards Metallo.  He lands near Metallo. Metallo: "So you've finally decided to show your face? Too bad you left it late, so many lives could have been spared if you wasn't so selfish!" Metallo blasts superman who dodges the blast. Superman: "You know greens not a good colour for you" Metallo: "You think so? Well come closer for a better look" Superman: "No thanks I'm good over here. So tell me, why are you causing all this senseless destruction" as superman starts to approach Metallo as the two talk. Metallo: "It's all a show, it's all for you of course, it's the only way to get your attention, for I have been looking for you" Superman: "You villains always like attention but there's a better way to get it without violence" Metallo: "Ok so please do show me, tell me what I have to do and I'll come with you quietly" Superman puts his hand on Metallo's shoulder as Metallo smiles and grabs superman tight as he can as metallo's chest plate goes down and reveals kryptonite to superman, making superman weak and in pain from Metallo's grip. The police see that superman is in trouble and are shooting at Metallo which has Metallo's guard drop and he is getting shot at pretty heavily so he releases superman and goes after the police instead which creates enough distance for superman to gain composure to lazer blast the exposes kryptonite in metallo's chest effectively blowing Metallo up. Of the explosion only metallo's head remains and he mutters to superman: "You've killed me again, you couldn't save me as a human and you couldn't save me as a machine, what hope do you inspire again?" Superman realises it was John the guy he tried to save and looks at him shocked and apologises to him before Metallo shuts down. Superman flies off.

Second half - Lex is mad at the news Metallo has been defeated so he decides to do something so drastic and that's to use the dna on what he has from superman to make himself a clone but he messes up and ends up with Bizzaro enraged at his failed superman clone he torments the clone, tortures him, telling him superman is the enemy and calls Bizzaro names and so on which enraged Bizzaro having him leave Lex's company to go kill Superman. One day whilst saving a family from a fire superman is just speared mid air by Bizzaro causing the two to Duke it out as superman is left reeling as he can't believe he has to fight a look a like of himself and he's trying to talk sense into Bizzaro but its not working so Superman fires back harder hits which does knock some sense into him but then emerges Lex from his limo wanting front row to see his failure actually succeed in killing superman. Bizzaro has superman in a choke hold as Superman tells Bizzaro "please don't do this I'm you, I'm not the enemy, I'm friend, I am brother,  I am family." which has Bizzaro let go of superman and questioning himself whilst Lex is yelling at Bizzaro, lex just bullies Bizzaro calling him useless and a freak and a ugly failure which Bizzaro snaps and picks lex up and goes to snap him in two but lex pulls a controller out and presses a button which causes a small bomb in Bizzaro to go off exploding his head as lex laughs and looks at superman saying "You can thank Amanda for her services there, as I have just saved your life" Superman looks at lex baffled and replies. "What do you mean,why would you do that?" Lex: "Look around you Superman, can't you see all the cameras, they now will all say that I saved you which means to the public I have redeemed myself so my companies stock can rise again!" Superman: "So you set up all this for money?" Lex: "Gee if you'd actually have a brain you'd know it's not about the money at all. If it was up to me I'd have killed you after your family but your a very lucky boy today and very lucky that I have a lot instore for not only you but also your friends, family and the entire world! It's going to be fun so I hope you like chess, because I've made the first move." as Lex gets in his limo and rides off, leaving Superman to have a quiet day and get back to the office supporting Superman of the new public opinion of Lex Luther. And if you want an after credit to my comment story I'd put Lex meeting up with a Mr. Savage ;)

I'd cast Sam Worthington as Metallo, there's a tongue in cheek Terminator reference to be had here :P 

I'd also cast Johnny Depp as Vandal Savage, i'm sure there's a tongue in cheek fragrance reference to be had there also. Why Depp as Savage? The two are quite eccentric and Depp can pull off the look and intensity of Savage easily.

So yeah short post but there we go i wanted to blog something and this was it. Will have better posts soon haha. 

South Park: The Fractured But Whole REVIEW PS4

It is done my Butt hole has been repaired. It took me 24 hours and 30 mins to complete all collectables and story and side quests in South Park: The Fractured But  Whole.

The game it's self was great fun as you'd expect from the minds of Matt & Trey however, I didn't laugh as much as i did in Stick Of Truth.

The deluxe edition was rubbish add on's meant nothing and that pisses me off i paid an extra 10 quid expecting good perks and a new buddy to play in game with  but it was just waste of money.

When you get Towlie dlc to work he pops up now and then to annoy you with shit you know and with shit that's just dumb and ok sometimes when he appeared i laughed at what he had to say but other times i was yelling "go away towel".

Gameplay and combat overall was decent enough, i did get bored around 12 hours in for a bit and the soundtrack was pretty bleak but had tension unlike the fun frolicking soundtrack of stick of truth, but again there's some songs from south park in the game and they made me smile and laugh and love because they had Kyle's mom and blame Canada in the game but in like 8 bit instrumentally pieced songs and that was amazing I never heard those in that way before and I wish we had a bit more of that maybe for a future game a mp3 player on your phone "Fartify" all the south park songs you can stick on and play and stroll around town would be epic fun. Summons were cool but I wish we could have had more. The ultimate moves for some were rubbish I won't lie. Animation and graphics were top notch show quality.

Story was great and i don't have anything to complain about there as i did enjoy it. Hunting the Yaoi's (the cringe) towards the end of the game got annoying and so did trying to master all the toilet breaks. For the third game I really want the ninja's to return because lets fighting love!

Overall for South Park Fractured But Whole i'd give it 8/10 it's a great game. I'd highly recommend. South Park fans will love it! I can't wait to play all the DLC!

Update: I started playing on hardest difficulty and on hardest combat difficulty too so yeah its tougher.
