ABOUT THIS PIECE

Wrote this in memory of my late Nan. Wrote this in how i feel. It's a soft acoustic song. I wish i was an actual talented musician so i could get the tune out of my head to bring this to life but hey i am working with what i got now and that's a pen and some paper. Well now obviously its transferred to my computer and blog but hey here we got its 2:30am and it's the second of April 2020.

Standing on the field in the pouring rain, nothing is what it seems, 

Our love was bright, young, an eternal flame,

Now i'm just existing, standing here questioning,

Was it all really worth it, where do we go from here,

When i was at your side, everything was bright and colourful,

The greys of the world were lit up, the streets sparkled,

Your eyes were the thing of pure beauty and ecstasy,

Warm hands that melted away all the ice of my emotions,

I was given a life, i could feel and for the first time in years, 

I'm happy,

You said you loved me, that i was the only one for you,

But you were never really here for me, when i needed you,

I'm sad, i cry now, all on my own, alone once again,

You said see you later, i love you, unknowing that it would be the last i saw of you, 

I need you so much, i hope you realise just how much i care,

There's up's, there's downs, there's round after round,

We always end up back in each other's arms smiling,

Laughing at how we laugh, laughing at each other's dirty jokes, 

We take midnight rides to the mountains and watch the stars fly by, 

Walk for ages holding hands, imagining everything we could obtain,

Although we grow older and our bodies change, our love and friendship always remains the same,

Sharing a life, having someone to care for you,

It's a lot and it's new and exciting, it's easy to be carried away in a heat of a moment,

But no matter how angry or sad or alone i get, i know you are thinking of me,

I know you love me, You are always on my mind,

You always pick me up even when i feel defeated,

Telling you how much i love and care for you is never enough words to express the feelings,

I hope you know you're my world, I aint ever going out of your stratosphere,

A love song/poem i wrote based upon two people who have a unique love and who have arguments but they don't ever give up or leave each other and when they go have their own space to clear their heads they are always having the same feelings for one another. They make each other happy for the first time ever in both of their collective lives.
