Here is the list the final list dedicated to the power rangers of which i have been ding a short series of but this is the one i am choosing to end it with.
Don't worry more power ranger content may come after this just when is the question and don't know is the answer.
This list is based on my opinions and will feature notable information from the series for you all to read aswell.
This list is based on my opinions and will feature notable information from the series for you all to read aswell.
10: Power Rangers Zeo
Zeo introduced all-new Ranger costumes for the first time, a pattern that would repeat each subsequent season, in keeping with the Super Sentai source material. The first season to not feature Billy Cranston in every single episode. It's also the last season to feature him. The first season with a Green Ranger on the core team, as opposed to being a Sixth Ranger, in this case, Adam Park. The first season to have a second-in-command Blue Ranger, in this case, Rocky DeSantos. This is the first series that ends with the Rangers' powers and arsenal almost intact. Neither the Zords, nor the weapons, nor the base powers themselves, were destroyed. Only the Zeo Jet Cycles were. As it stands, Zeo is the only season so far to hold this distinction, as every other season features at least part of the arsenal destroyed, be it weapons or zords, or the team retiring at the season's conclusion. It's the first season to feature a Ranger (Gold) whose identity is not known to Zordon. It's the first season to have a person (Jason Lee Scott) who had formerly voluntary retired from the team come back full-time, as opposed to just a guest appearance. The second and only other time so far is in Dino Thunder, with Tommy Oliver. This was the first series to feature an appearance by at least one Ranger from the previous incarnations. This trend would continue all the way up to Power Rangers Ninja Storm. Zeo was a great series but i sadly remember more stuff from the comics that were released than watching the series as a kid. You know i have watched a few episodes in recent years and my fave ranger in the series is Gold Ranger since his powers and zord and his theme song are just amazing frankly. The series had a good story but you know as i said i dont remember every single bit of it.
9: Power Rangers Dino Thunder
This season is the second to have a dinosaur theme. This is the only season to have four members on the core team as opposed to five. A soccer player, computer expert, a musician, and a science teacher join forces to become Power Rangers and help save the Earth from mutant dinosauric beings that wish to eradicate all human life and return Earth to the age of the dinosaurs. In this season, Tommy Oliver, of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers to Power Rangers Turbo fame, returns as a palaeontology professor in Reefside, California. When he is assigned three detention students, Conner, Ethan, and Kira, they end up finding the Dino Gems, paving the way for them to become the Dino Thunder Power Rangers. It was a good season, it paid homage a lot to MMPR and i loved seeing Tommy again being his usual badass self and i loved the white ranger in the series he had such a cool design and was so badass too. The powers the dino gems gave to the unmorphed rangers were cool too. Zeltrax was my fave side villain of the series too he was really cool.
8: Power Rangers Wild Force
Wild Force, like Time Force, is very faithful to its Sentai counterpart, with nearly the exact same plot. It's also the first season to have the exact same morphing sequence as its Sentai counterpart. Power Rangers Wild Force takes place in 2002, continuing the tradition of having the incarnation taking place the year it was released. Wild Force was the first season to have a narrator like its Sentai counterpart. This is the first Ranger Team to have both Yellow and White female Rangers. It wouldn't count if you include Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers with Alien Rangers from Aquatar. Wild Force is the first Power Rangers series where the Rangers are shown to already be operating, without a Red Ranger, before the start of the show. Wild Force is the first season to show the zords in full CGI, not only in their presentations, but in any scene prior to their combination into the Megazord. This was the first regular Power Rangers series not to feature a Pink Ranger as well as the first series since Mighty Morphin Alien Rangers to not feature one, and the first since in Space not to feature a Green Ranger. This is the first season of Power Rangers since In Space to feature a Black Ranger, and the first since the original Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers (and their alien counterparts) to feature a White Ranger. This season holds the record of the highest number of Zords featured: 22. Max is the only Ranger in this season not to have 3 Zords, only possessing 2. This series also has the current record for Power Ranger appearances from previous seasons, at 13. The first were the 6 Time Force Rangers, then the 7 Red rangers in "Forever Red.". This is the first season to show realistic blood when Zen-Aku's left hand was cut. "Forever Red" was the first episode to commemorate the anniversary of the Power Rangers franchise. This would repeat in Dino Thunder with Legacy of Power, and again in Operation Overdrive with Once A Ranger. This is the first season since Mighty Morphin Power Rangers to not use wrist Morphers. They use cell phone-like Morphers instead. This is the first incarnation of Power Rangers since in Space to not have the rangers' base of operations destroyed in the finale, and the first of all incarnations to not have the rangers' base of operations destroyed at all (the Power Chamber in Zeo was destroyed at the end of Turbo, and the Astro Megaship from in Space was destroyed at the end of Lost Galaxy). Cole was my fave ranger in this series besides Merrick but hey i liked the entire team they were all so likeable. I liked the enemies and master org at the end in his final form was a formidable opponent. Great story there too and of course my fave villain in the show was Zen-Aku as i mentioned in the previous list. The animal crystals, zords, i liked everything this series had to be honest as i keep back tracking on haha.
7: Power Rangers Mystic Force
This is the first season since Zeo to make no changes to the Sentai villains, and without either adding an original antagonist or removing a Sentai antagonist from the footage. The show is noted, and often criticized, for heavily focusing on the Red Ranger over the others. Jackie Marchand says this was down to the sheer amount of MagiRed stock footage compared to the others. This is the first Power Rangers series to simultaneously feature female Blue and Pink Rangers, as well as a male Yellow Ranger on the same team. This is the first Power Ranger team to not pilot their zords but rather become them. Mystic Mother, formerly known as Rita Repulsa, was the source of the Mystic Force powers and established their connection to the morphing grid. This was done as a tribute to Machiko Soga, the actress that portrayed Witch Bandora in Zyuranger (dubbed in MMPR as Rita Repulsa) who had passed away from cancer. While the SPD Rangers don't appear, their ally Piggy (played by Barnie Duncan, who also does Toby) does. He chats with Jenji saying that "In 20 years this place will be crawling with aliens", referencing SPD. I loved Mystic Force, i loved all the magic and powers that came to play it was really unique and different for its time if i say so myself. Story was mainly focused on the red ranger more so yes but i do think the rest of the ranger stood out with their bits too. So many cool villains and ally's in this season aswell. I dug the capes on the rangers too. When people hear mystic force they either tend to say "yeah it was an ok season" or they will say "oh that sucked" i am here like "guess i'm in the small majority who liked it COOL!" and hey the rangers became fricken zords in this one which is uh hello super cool!
6: Power Rangers SPD
Power Rangers S.P.D was a milestone season behind-the-scenes and for the fanbase, but also one of the most controversial among fans. Kalish and Aronowitz's combined effort on the early portions of SPD gained instantaneous praise from the fanbase, as SPD proved to be one of the more ambitious PR seasons ever attempted, with a rare cast of strong actors portraying each character with gravitas and investment, as a result, the cast became hailed as perhaps one of the best in the show's history. It was also at this time that the production crew opened communications with the fandom. Even the first set of episodes were superb due to the quality backstage talent. Each Ranger got an entire episode devoted entirely to their character development also and the Shadow Ranger was introduced, once again, through a very well-received two-part episode. It is the first series to feature Pink Rangers that did not have skirted uniforms (Syd and the A-Squad Pink Ranger) and also the first time that a female Yellow Ranger had no skirt but has a legitimate female Sentai counterpart. It is notable for featuring the first known Jewish Power Ranger; Bridge Carson. It is the first Power Ranger series to feature an active seventh Ranger. It is the first series to feature an active Ranger with a known identity who is not credited in the opening sequence (Omega Ranger). It is the first series to feature an "Orange Ranger", imaginary or otherwise. It is the first series to feature a new Ranger (Katherine "Kat" Manx as Kat Ranger) who has the same name as a previous one (the other being Katherine "Kat" Hillard, the second MMPR Pink Ranger) from Mighty Morphin to Turbo). It is the first series to feature a new Ranger who shares a last name with a previous Ranger, but is not in any way related (Elizabeth "Z" Delgado, the S.P.D. Yellow Ranger, and Danny Delgado, the Black Bison Ranger from Wild Force). It is the first series to have an episode take place in Japan, the country from which the Power Rangers' source material, Super Sentai, originated. It is the first series in which one Ranger morphs using their teammate's powers. There have, however, been previous instances of powers being passed from one Ranger to another. It is the first to have 3 female Rangers on one team and as of the final episode, 4. It is the first to have a female Red Ranger (Red A-Squad Ranger). Bruce Kalish has said that he and the producers of the show had to convince Disney to use a female Red Ranger, and that while it may be a small step now, it may one day lead to a full-time female Red Ranger on the show. It would take Toei, the producer of Super Sentai until 2009's Samurai Sentai Shinkenger to feature a female Red Ranger. It is the first series to end with the morphing call and show the logo in the final shot of the final episode. It is the first season where the monsters do not grow to large sizes, but instead, retreat to the cockpits of zord-sized robots for the final battle. In the fourth episode, when Sky is looking at a picture of his father in his Red Ranger uniform, the father is wearing the Red Time Force Ranger costume, while the young Sky is holding the red Time Force helmet. It is the first series since Power Rangers In Space to have its theme written and performed by Ron Wasserman. So it was a series of many first's and one of my fave's, i loved the characters and story. The rangers swat mode upgrade was real cool too and so was their zords! The omega, shadow, kat, a squad and heck orange rangers were cool too! I loved seeing the in space costumes be used in another space ranger season. A series of many cool's let's be honest.
5: Power Rangers Lost Galaxy
Power Rangers Lost Galaxy presently owns the highest on screen death toll thus far seen in Power Rangers: Magna Defender, Scorpius, Furio, Treacheron, Villamax, The Guardian, Loyax, Trakeena, Deviot, Captain Mutiny, Barbarax, Stratoforce Megazord, Centaurus Megazord, Torozord, DECA, and Kendrix (though she is revived in the finale). Lost Galaxy was the first series not to take place in the fictional city of Angel Grove, California, nor Earth. Lost Galaxy was the first series to abandon the teleportation ability that had been seen in all previous seasons. This is the first season where the monsters are able to grow without the help of any of the central villains. Lost Galaxy is the first season to have had a three-part series finale. It is the first season to have sentient zords (with the possible exceptions of Titanus and Tor). It's also includes the first instances of sentient zord deaths: Torozord, Centaurus Megazord, and Stratoforce Megazord. It stands as the only series to feature a villain from a previous series becoming a Power Ranger, albeit temporarily. For the first time, the ending credits were accompanied by a display of one of the season's Megazords assembling. This trend would repeat until the middle of Wild Force. Lost Galaxy is the first season to have a Ranger die in the line of battle, though she is revived at the end of the series. Lost Galaxy is the first series to feature siblings serving on the same team. Lost Galaxy is also the series where the original Zords and Megazord were introduced the latest. The Galactabeasts are first seen in episode three ("Race to the Rescue"), but their Zord forms and the Galaxy Megazord are not seen until episode five ("Homesick"). This is the first series in which the Rangers are not teenagers, but adults with professions. This is the first series where a character is able to combine with a Zord. This would later be repeated in Power Rangers Mystic Force with Leanbow. The uniforms for Terra Venture's military are "Federation Body Armors" used in the 1997 film Starship Troopers. Coincidentally, both series feature the protagonists fighting against bugs. I loved the use of starship troopers equipment, the magna defender, leo, zords and theme song. This is a historic series having a ranger die in it. I first seen this series on vhs tapes when i had lost galaxy 1st vhs one Christmas and i was very excited and when i watched it, it felt very much like a movie, it was amazing. Still one of my all time faves and the magna defender arc is one of my fave arcs today.
4: Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue
It was the first incarnation of Power Rangers to have the Rangers' identities be known to public from the onset, as opposed to previous incarnations where a Ranger's identity was to be kept secret, revealed only in extreme circumstances, and the series is unique in the fact that it was the first where the Rangers' powers, Zords and weapons were man-made and had no mystical origin whatsoever (both of these traits would be repeated in Power Rangers: S.P.D. and Power Rangers: RPM). Lightspeed Rescue also had, for the first time, a Power Ranger with no Super Sentai counterpart in the Titanium Lightspeed Ranger. This is the first Power Rangers series in which the Green and Blue Rangers, not just the Red Ranger, receive Battlizers or equipment very close to one. This is the first series that the Rangers team's opaque visor can be opened followed by Power Rangers: Ninja Storm.
This is the first series to have trains for zords. This is the first time the five Rangers were complete strangers before becoming Power Rangers. I loved how the rangers were already life savers or some aspects of it before becoming a ranger. The whole man made morphin grid in this season was so unique and really cool. I loved the super train megazord. The whole hero's vs demons was a interesting concept and we had a good interesting story from this season and all rangers were very likeable to boot.
3: Power Rangers Time Force
A number of changes have been made in Power Rangers Time Force since the 9/11/2001 World Trade Center attack. The opening clip with the giant robot standing on the 2 World Trade Center Towers has been removed. The speech in "Ransik Lives" has been replaced with music due to the similarities of Bin Laden's speech. The scenes with the skyscraper buildings being under attack or destroyed, and the scenes of people panicking as a result, have been edited. Time Force is the first Power Rangers series where the original Rangers, with the exception of Wesley, took or stole their morphers rather than being given to them. Power Rangers Time Force is the first (and so far the only) Power Rangers season to feature a Pink Ranger as the leader. However, the Red Ranger remained the protagonist of the show. Time Force is the only series thus far to feature a sixth Ranger that wore the same color as another team member (Wes and Eric both wore red as their color scheme). Power Rangers Time Force is also notable for being the first series where the Rangers don't destroy the monsters, but rather capture them in containers. It was the first series to employ Power Rangers from the future. It was the first series to feature a family member accidentally finding out their relative was a Power Ranger (Mr. Collins found out Wes was the Red Ranger when his visor was damaged in a battle). Time Force is the first (and so far only) season known to have a Megazord which can switch from one Megazord mode to another, using only the 5 core components. The season was planed to have an extra 10 episodes, and the possibility for a movie, but was cancelled due to a possible Screen Actors Guild strike. This is the first Power Rangers incarnation, and so far the only one, to have absolutely no supernatural elements in the series (aside from the team-up episodes and the season's Battlizer), all major plot points being limited to science fiction instead. Allegedly, due to this season's overall dark nature compared to other Power Rangers seasons, Fox considered broadcasting the series on their Sunday primetime lineup after The X-Files; however, it ultimately remained on Fox Kids for brand consistency. This series kicked butt! Wes and Jen's relationship was something that had everyone watching waiting for the two to finally kiss and reveal their feelings for one another and it was so sweet when it happened i compare it to dr.who's dr and rose story. This series had a red ranger be destroyed in the first episode which blew everyone's minds. Honestly when it happened everyone was like "DID YOU SEE IT?!" no one could believe it. When i was a kid when this season was out i was having my final operation completed on my leg and i remember before going into surgery being scared and i asked my perants "can i please have a time force megazord when i wake up?" and what do you know i had one after i woke up from surgery it was the coolest thing ever! The time force zords were so cool and unique and stand out a lot. Q-rex,shadow megazord and the time force zord come on how cool and badass were they? All had likeable rangers and hell the villains you had a soft spot for aswell by the end of the show. Ransik as i said in a previous list was a human villain and was really great.
2: Power Rangers In Space
This was the last series to take place in Angel Grove, California. The city is last seen in the first episode of Power Rangers Lost Galaxy, Quasar Quest. Angel Grove would later be revisited in the Operation Overdrive team-up special, "Once a Ranger". This was the first season to use an orchestral music score instead of the usual rock used in previous seasons. This is the first series of Power Rangers to not have any kind of power transfer occur whatsoever, as all previous series have had at least one Ranger get replaced mid-season. This was the last season to feature bloopers in the ending credits. "Countdown to Destruction" was the first time the Rangers revealed their identities to the public. It is the first season to not include Tommy Oliver. Loved all the characters, the story, the villains, the zords, the weapons, it's just one of the best seasons of power rangers overall. How can you not like it. I hope the power rangers cinematic universe happens and we get to have a in space movie or two.
1: Mighty Morphin Power Rangers
Obviously this was always going to be numero uno. It's the first and the best, the show i grew up with and watched in bed before sleeping as a kid. Loved all the characters and villains and the music and zords, weapons, the stories/story. What else can i say? Lord Zedd is the first American-made villain with absolutely no Super Sentai counterpart. The expression "Morphinomenal!" was coined by Kimberly Ann Hart. Similarly, "It's Morphin Time!" was first spoken by Zordon in the episode "High Five." The expression "Back To Action" was coined by Jason Lee Scott. The Ninja and Shogun Ultrazords are the only Zord formations in Power Rangers history that are made from American footage. No suits or props were used in making them; the Bandai toys of each Zord were used to bring them to life on the show. The American versions of the toys were used for this, which presented some problems as the American versions are often noticeably different than the Japanese versions (and thus, the actual Zords on the show). For example, the left arm of the Japanese Shogun Megazord toy (and the real Shogun Megazord) is white. For some reason, the left arm of the Shogun Megazord toy was repainted pink for the American version. Thus, the arm would suddenly switch colors whenever the Shogun Ultrazord was formed. In addition to being the original series, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers has also been considered the best among Power Rangers fans, winning a contest conducted by ABC Family in 2004 in which viewers voted for their favorite season. The original series has the distinction of being the longest-running incarnation, lasting for three years (1993-1996), with the longest running single main continuity, lasting through Zeo, Turbo, and In Space. Six video games based on this show were produced on the following systems: Sega Genesis, Sega CD, Sega Game Gear, Super Nintendo Entertainment System (which had two, one of which being called "Power Rangers The Fighting Edition) and Game Boy. The second season is the only season (in the Zordon Era or otherwise) where a part of the Ranger's Arsenal was directly upgraded from a previous season's tools, with the 5 original Dino Zords from season 1 being used as foundations for the Thunder Zords of this season (the Ninja powers of season 3, while still being "Mighty Morphin" powers, were technically replacements for the original powers, not upgrades). Several elements of the third season openly contradict Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie, rendering it out-of continuity- such as Ninjetti, Ninja FalconMegazord, and even the way the rangers received their powers. This is the season that kicked off a world wide phenomenon and a huge franchise so of course it is number 1 well besides all the other reason's i listed earlier too.
Ok thank's for reading as ever.
I hope you have/will/did enjoy the Power Rangers 2017 movie.
Let me know your thoughts and what season's you liked best :)
See you in the next list rangers!
