Blue Beetle - Extraterrestrial Blast! (FILM REVIEW)

The ROAD to the DCU (dc's new cinematic universe) STARTS HERE!!!!

So If you are not aware Blue Beetle is the first movie in the long awaited Gunn lead era of Warner Bro's DC universe of cinematic films. Xolo Mariduena stars in the leading role as Jaime Reyes and this is directed by Angel Manuel Soto. Jaime Reyes suddenly finds himself in possession of an ancient relic of alien biotechnology called the Scarab. When the Scarab chooses Jaime to be its symbiotic host, he's bestowed with an incredible suit of armour that's capable of extraordinary and unpredictable powers, forever changing his destiny as he becomes the superhero Blue Beetle.

I thought BB was bloody brilliant, I want more, and I also want to see it again!

JaĆme played by Xolo was absolutely incredible just as I imagined. He was perfectly cast. This film is a great start to the new DC universe of films. The Uncle and Nana were so funny. The villains were a bit meh, but I did like Carapax once we got into his story he was more interesting than the Evil CEO Kord lady.

The fighting scenes were awesome! Music and lighting was so cool and synth-wavey and for me that's always loved. Heart, humour and inspiring superhero film.

There's two after credits and the first is so interesting yet the second is uh weird to say the least, and you don't have to stay for that unless you want to show your love or want to see some more Latino representation. The Latino representations in this film I felt were on point and great to see for a change.

8.5/10

A good time no energy drinks needed.

I was hooked all through the film and I very much enjoyed.

Please go see this film and do not sleep on it!

Late Night Ramblin's Vol8 - Life Update August 2023

Hello, so it's been a while since my last post and I wanted to just explain what's been going on and just do a check in with you all my dear readers.

So the 6 weeks school summer holidays are here and being that I am working two jobs, I have been pretty flat out (busy) with the work. In any free time I have had, I have spent it with friends and family aswell as gaming and watching all sorts of media from anime to movies to tv shows and to wrestling.

I have recently had a new phone too, so I have lost many files from my old phone, and I am still figuring out my new phone and its features and still signing in to apps and all sorts on it.

Been dealing with some health concerns nothing major just weird skin irritations and such, I'll be fine.

So with my busy schedule and limited downtime my creative juices and content creation has suffered a lack of interactivity.

I apologize for the lack of content, but I will have more videos and posts soon as my schedule settles and the creative demon bites me again.

TMNT: Mutant Mayhem: Turtley Lit! (FILM REVIEW)

It's time once again for the next generation of people to meet these iconic teen heroes from the sewers, yes the team are back together with fresh outfits, designs, voices and stories with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem!
TMNT: MM is directed by Jeff Rowe and produced by Seth Rogen and stars Jackie Chan, Ice Cube, Paul Rudd, Post Malone, John Cena, Seth Rogen, Giancarlo Espisito, Rose Byrne, Hannibal Buress and Maya Randolph. Oh, but wait that's just the star cast you know, HOWEVER the voices of the Turtles were actually done by teens! Leo - Nicolas Cantu, Raphael - Brady Noon, Michaelangelo - Shamon Brown Jr. & finally Donatello - Micah Abbey.

The story is about how after years of being sheltered from the human world, the Turtle brothers set out to win the hearts of New Yorkers and be accepted as normal teenagers through heroic acts. Their new friend April O’Neil helps them take on a mysterious crime syndicate, but they soon get in over their heads when an army of mutants is unleashed upon them.

This film's animation style is so unique, and it fits it all so well and just saying it now, but I want more of this universe and cast in this turtley awesome series of films. We have a lit soundtrack featuring a lot of classic gangsta rap to some modern and meme songs even haha. The dialect is modern between the Turtles as this is set in modern day New York and of course they are voiced by real life teens, and they all know each other and played off each other so well in the film. I was unsure about this film working when it was all announced but then the trailer hit, and I was sold, I thought it was pretty funny and looked interesting enough for me to take a chance and put doubts aside, and I AM GLAD I DID, THIS FILM IS AWESOME!!!!

Everything in it worked so well, and I was hooked and so impressed, and I was dying with laughter several times. There is a puke joke they spend a bit too much time with that you know will bother some other people too, but that's literally the only negative I have for this film. The after credits made me want the next film there and then because OH MY GOD!

9/10

TMNT: MM is a turtley awesome adventure full of heart and humour with the longing for acceptance in yourself and your talents that will make you have a good time watching with no energy drinks required. The cast and music and fight scenes and animation are all amazing and this needs to be seen by more people.

Please see this instead of The Meg 2!
